After Lin Lin glanced at him, he brought Mr. Shui Gui to his office.
As soon as the two entered the office, Mr. Shui Gui couldn't wait to speak: "Dr. Lin, you should know that I work in the kitchen of the Abyss Hotel, right?"
Lin Lin sat at his desk, tapped it twice, and asked doubtfully, "What does this have to do with my new patient?"
Mr. Shuigui smiled and explained, "Of course it does! Finding the right ingredients for the restaurant is also part of my job."
"When I passed by that patient, I could even smell the intoxicating fragrance." Mr. Shui Gui said, closing his eyes tightly, as if he was still savoring the aroma.
Hearing this, Lin Lin's eyes widened, and his voice rose several degrees. He said in disbelief: "So... you are saying that my patient is the ingredient you are interested in???"
"Well, you could say that, but it's not entirely correct." Mr. Shuigui smiled and nodded, then continued, "I just used my skills to explore and found that the alluring aroma of wine was coming from the liver."
Mr. Shui Gui's words shocked Lin Lin, and an expression of disbelief appeared on his face.
She frowned, staring intently at Mr. Shui Gui, and said in a serious tone, "This is not some shady clinic, and there's no way I can sell his liver to you."
Lin Lin paused and continued, "What's more, they came here to seek treatment and help, not to become your food..."
Mr. Shui Gui shook his head slowly, smiled slightly, and responded, "Doctor Lin, don't get excited. We are old acquaintances, and you know me well. How could I do such a thing?"
"We have cooperated many times, so you should still have some trust in me!" Mr. Shui Gui said with a smile.
Lin Lin looked at him coldly and replied, "If we hadn't worked together so many times before, I would have kicked you out by now."
Mr. Shui Gui sighed helplessly and said, "Would it be convenient for you to call the patient in so that I can talk to him in front of you?"
Seeing Lin Lin's expression of being wary of thieves, Mr. Shui Gui quickly explained, "Don't worry! I definitely won't do anything out of line. I just want to discuss the cost of treatment with him."
Lin Lin thought for a moment and felt that it would be better to let the patient communicate directly with Shui Gui, so he agreed to Mr. Shui Gui's request.
She took out her cell phone and sent a message to Nan Sheng.
After a while, the man followed Nan Sheng to the office.
After the man walked in, he saw that the person sitting behind the desk was Mr. Shui Gui, who had just been in the treatment room with him. He couldn't help but be startled, and a hint of surprise and vigilance flashed in his eyes.
He stared closely at Mr. Shuigui and asked with a puzzled tone, "Why are you here? What are you doing here?"
After saying this, the man turned to look at Lin Lin who was standing beside him, as if hoping to get some explanation from her.
Lin Lin sighed softly, then walked between the two of them and said, "This gentleman just made a suggestion about you. Although I have made it clear that it is not feasible, he still wants to talk to you. Don't worry, in my clinic, your rights will be fully protected."
Lin Lin's words made the man's originally tense body relax a little, but there was still a hint of vigilance in his eyes, and it was obvious that he had not completely let down his guard.
Mr. Shui Gui didn't care. He smiled at him and began to introduce himself: "You don't have to be so nervous. I work at the Abyss Hotel and am a small manager in the kitchen. In addition to daily management of the kitchen, I also have another job, which is to find ingredients for the restaurant."
Hearing this, the man's face twisted a little, and he was about to speak when he was interrupted by Mr. Shuigui.
"I've seen all sorts of bizarre ingredients and phenomena, but when we passed each other today, your situation piqued my curiosity."
"The aroma of alcohol emanating from your body is very unique, something I have never smelled before."
"However, my purpose is very simple. I just want your liver. In exchange, I am willing to pay for the transplant and all treatment costs. This will benefit both of us."
The man's eyes widened and he said angrily, "You are totally unreasonable! Are you crazy? How can I give you my liver? This is illegal and immoral."
Lin Lin immediately stepped forward, his face solemn, his voice low and commanding as he addressed Mr. Shui Gui, "I solemnly warn you, you absolutely must not entertain such thoughts! This is a clinic..."
Lin Lin's voice was drowned out by the man's voice.
He gritted his teeth, shook his head vigorously, and said loudly, "I will never agree to such a request! I would rather try every possible way to raise the treatment costs myself than sell my precious body parts..."
Mr. Shui Gui narrowed his eyes slightly, a trace of calculation flashed in his eyes. After adjusting his mood, he slowly said: "Young man, don't rush to reject my proposal."
"After all, this may be the only viable option for you right now. The high cost of treatment will crush you like a heavy mountain, leaving you in despair."
"No! I've already found out before I came here. Doctor Lin can use items to offset the cost of treatment..." The man interrupted Mr. Shui Gui excitedly, with a glimmer of hope on his face.
Mr. Shui Gui chuckled, his laughter full of disdain and ridicule, as if he was mocking the man's naivety and ignorance.
