The early morning light had not yet completely dispelled the coolness of the night when Xu Yang arrived at school.
As soon as I walked into the classroom, I saw an exquisite paper package on the desk. I knew it was a sandwich bought by Lu Jinyu without having to guess.
This time it was not the ordinary convenience store version. The edges of the bread were toasted to a slightly golden color, exuding a rich wheat aroma. After handing in the paper, he and Lu Jinyu met outside the examination room. They looked at each other and laughed at the same time.
"How do you feel?" Xu Yang asked.
Lu Jinyu stretched and said, "Not bad, I should be able to enter the semi-finals. How about you?"
"I'm fine too." Xu Yang nodded. "Next, let's prepare for the experimental part of the rematch."
The two walked side by side on the way back to the classroom. The rain had stopped and a faint rainbow appeared on the horizon.
Lu Jinyu suddenly stopped and pointed at the rainbow and said, "Look, a rainbow, this must be a good sign."
Xu Yang looked in the direction he pointed and saw a rainbow spanning the sky, colorful and dreamy.
