The teaching building was brightly lit and so quiet that only the sound of turning pages and occasional hushed discussions could be heard.
Li Yi stood outside the teaching building, searching for Zhou Mei's figure through the windows, and finally found her in a spot near the window.
Zhou Mei was looking down at her book intently, occasionally glancing up to think, appearing very serious.
Li Yi stared out the window for a while, then smiled knowingly.
Just then, a boy walked over and asked in a low voice, "Senior, which pretty girl are you looking at?"
Before Li Yi could answer, the boy also saw Zhou Mei by the window.
Zhou Mei was wearing a light white down jacket with the zipper open, and even winter clothes couldn't hide her beautiful figure.
Zhou Mei's hair was softly draped over her shoulders. She held a pen in her right hand and was studying diligently, exuding a gentle and refreshing aura.
The boy couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, this girl is really beautiful. No wonder you're so mesmerized."
Li Yi and the boy stared into the window, which immediately attracted the attention of other boys passing by.
Before long, several boys came over and stared at Zhou Mei by the classroom window.
Everyone was amazed at how beautiful the girl was.
"Wow, this girl is so pretty! Much prettier than the prettiest girl in our class!"
"Yes, with that aura and those looks, she's definitely a school beauty!"
"I don't know which department they're from; I've never seen them before."
"Who cares which department she's in? She's such a pretty girl, I have to get to know her!"
"I wonder if she has a boyfriend. A girl this pretty must have one, right?"
"That's not necessarily true. The prettier a girl is, the less likely many guys are to pursue her. They feel inferior and unworthy of her, so it's actually more common for pretty girls to not have boyfriends."
"That makes sense, then we should definitely go and get to know them."
Several boys were discussing it amongst themselves, and some of them couldn't wait to strike up a conversation.
Li Yi also wanted to see what would happen if they tried to strike up a conversation.
He just stood outside watching.
Because the classroom was brighter than the outside at night, Zhou Mei couldn't see what was happening outside.
One of the bolder boys, filled with excitement, went straight in through the entrance of the teaching building.
He arrived at Zhou Mei's side shortly afterward.
"Hi, are you studying?"
Zhou Mei looked up at him and politely replied, "Yes!"
"Excuse me, can we get to know each other?"
Zhou Mei: "Not interested!"
Boy: "?????????"
The boy felt as if he had been doused with a bucket of cold water, his heart completely chilled. He hadn't expected Zhou Mei to reject him so directly.
He smiled somewhat awkwardly, still trying to persuade him further: "Hey classmate, give me a chance. We're all from the same school, let's get to know each other so we can look out for each other in the future."
Zhou Mei didn't want to talk to him anymore. She lowered her head and continued reading, showing her attitude through her actions.
Seeing this, the boy had no choice but to leave dejectedly.
He returned to where Li Yi and the other boys were, and said somewhat dejectedly, "That girl is so aloof, she didn't even talk to me."
Li Yi smiled, patted him on the shoulder and said, "Brother, it's okay. Beautiful women are naturally aloof. Don't be discouraged. There are plenty of fish in the sea. You'll meet the right girl eventually."
The boy nodded, still somewhat unwilling, but knowing he couldn't force it, so he turned and left.
Seeing this, the other boys suddenly hesitated to step forward.
But as the saying goes, the bold get rich and the timid starve. Zhou Mei is so beautiful, which guy wouldn't want her to be his girlfriend?
Even if one person fails, others will still approach them. What if they succeed?
Even if it didn't work out, it still helped me build up my courage, didn't it?
Sure enough, this time two boys walked towards Zhou Mei's classroom, one after the other.
The second boy was clever. He picked up a fallen yellow leaf from the woods next to the teaching building and walked up to Zhou Mei with a smile.
He handed the yellow leaf to Zhou Mei and asked, "Excuse me, could you tell me what kind of leaf this is? It's so pretty!"
Zhou Mei was speechless. Why is there another one?
She looked up and, seeing the boy's appearance, knew he was trying to pick her up again.
Zhou Mei said directly, "Excuse me, can you use a new way to strike up a conversation? This is so outdated!"
Boy: "........"
The boy was stunned!
Holy crap, she saw right through my little scheme.
The boy paused for a few seconds, then laughed awkwardly, scratched his head, and said, "Haha, looks like my trick was too obvious. Can we get to know each other then?"
Zhou Mei: "No! I need to study, please don't disturb me!"
The boy had no choice but to leave dejectedly.
"Sorry to bother you, please continue your studies."
After saying that, the boy turned and quickly left the classroom. At the classroom door, he shook his head at the third boy who wanted to approach him and whispered, "He doesn't give me a chance at all!"
The third boy was already standing at the back door of the classroom. He hesitated for a moment, but then he thought, since he was already here, he had to go forward and give it a try.
His family is quite wealthy; he was already driving a BMW while still in college.
If I demonstrate my abilities, I'll have a high chance of winning her over, right?
He took out his BMW car keys, waved them in his hand, and then walked confidently toward Zhou Mei.
Outside, a dozen or so boys had already gathered around Li Yi and his group.
Everyone was stunned when they saw this.
