Chapter 69 is riddled with loopholes and is being tested again.

"What do you mean, 'hit'?" The young prince blinked, looking completely bewildered. "Isn't this just a trick to steal the sky and change the sun?"

“Something’s not right.” Tang Nian frowned. “Something strange happened on our first night in Lancheng. The next morning, Ming Huan’s memories were altered, and he became very strange.”

“The couple in this family are also acting strangely; their memories and behavior are also strange.”

The young prince didn't know why either.

"How about... I go check on him?" The young prince was just worried that Ming Huan might affect Tang Nian.

"Fine, let's talk about it after things are over here." Tang Nian shook her head. "Tell me about the information we got from the underworld."

Tang Nian listened to the young prince's detailed explanation, comparing the new information with what she already knew, and then sorting out the clues.

It seems this matter is more complicated than she thought, and she needs to be more careful.

"You want this mission?"

Little Yama was already used to Tang Nian's personality. He quickly put aside the issue of saving face and said excitedly, "Don't say I didn't give you a chance. Now that you've taken the plunge, this matter is yours!"

Tang Nian then looked down at him, somewhat amused: "You're leaving already?"

He just came out of the door, it hasn't even been the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, right?

The young prince clicked his tongue repeatedly: "With my senior sister here, of course I'm not needed here! I can take this opportunity to wander around outside."

"I'm leaving now. I'll let you know if there's any new information." Seeing that Tang Nian's expression wasn't good, the little prince quickly waved his hand. "Don't worry, I won't steal your credit. All the credit is yours."

The moment the young prince's figure disappeared into the darkness, the teleportation array vanished, the color of the void gradually blurred, light rose, and the original appearance of the room was revealed.

Tang Nian sat there, seemingly lost in thought, before finally leaving the room.

She searched around and finally found Choi Moon-song in the front yard, where he was intently preparing ointment.

"What are you doing? Where is Madam Song?"

Cui Wensong glanced at her, then lowered his head and continued working: "Shiyi's legs have been swollen quite a bit lately, and she can't sit still during the day, so I was thinking of getting some ointment for her to apply to relieve the swelling."

"She's still at the shop. She's capable, and everyone in the neighborhood relies on her. It's such a blessing to have married her."

I had a free day yesterday, but today I'm being relied on so much I can't even stand still.

Tang Nian was too lazy to complain about his sentimental look, and simply asked him to help out by finding a nearby shop based on the route she had learned that morning.

Song Shiyi was sitting in front of his small shop, taking pulses and diagnosing patients.

After coaxing the person in front of her to get the medicine, she noticed that Tang Nian was already standing nearby, and immediately showed a look of surprise.

"Master Tang, have you come looking for me?"

"I thought I'd come and take a look, maybe I can help out."

Tang Nian smiled and skillfully cooperated with Song Shiyi to perform a scene: "You are really diligent. Aren't you afraid that being busy will affect the child and make the child just as anxious as you are?"

Song Shiyi feigned displeasure: "How could that be? I am a doctor myself, and I pay close attention to the baby's condition at all times! He was at least four months old before he was born, so even if he was premature, it's still not the right time!"

Tang Nian exclaimed and patted her back: "Don't be angry, don't be angry. I was just saying that. Of course I know you two are thinking about it. This little one will be so happy after he/she is born!"

Song Shiyi then smiled.

Just as they finished their conversation, a pregnant woman with a large belly shuffled in, saying that she had run out of her previous medication and asked someone to come over to take her pulse and prescribe new medicine.

“I’ll go take a look.” Song Shiyi stood up again. “Master Tang, please feel free to do as you please.”

Tang Nian nodded, and as soon as she approached, the anxious pregnant woman immediately calmed down, which piqued her interest even more.

She looked around and found that the layout inside was almost identical to that of the Song family's pharmacy in Nanyu City, with the aroma of medicinal herbs filling the air, except that some of the more expensive herbs were missing.

There was no ghostly aura in the pharmacy, so it seems the evil spirit they were talking about was hiding in the Cui residence.

Having some free time, a few minutes later, she turned back to the front yard of the Cui residence and watched Cui Wensong pounding medicine.

"Young Master Cui, did you prepare this prescription?"

Cui Wensong treated it as casual conversation, not even looking up: "Yes, I'm trying to research it."

"So amazing! I never imagined that Young Master Cui, a mere scholar, would have learned all this." Tang Nian sighed. "Look at Madam Song's belly, she must be newly pregnant, right? The swelling hasn't even started yet, and she already has you taking such good care of her. How lucky she is."

Pregnant women usually start to show after three months, and Tang Nian knew this, but that didn't stop her from pretending to be naive and trying to get information out of her.

Cui Wensong enjoyed hearing these things, which made him feel much happier, and that's when he responded.

"She's very active, with hardly any excess fat on her body and her belly isn't showing. Actually, she's already in the mid-to-late stages of pregnancy, and her pregnancy symptoms will only get worse in the future. I'm making all the necessary preparations now so that I can ensure she doesn't suffer later."

He read a long passage aloud, but Tang Nian only extracted one piece of information from it.

In his view, his wife was already in her late pregnancy, speaking as if she would give birth soon.

However, according to Song Shiyi, the child is at most four or five months old.

This at least suggests that either their relationship was part of a script, or Tang Nian has found two plot holes that don't fit together.

Either these two people have a problem with their perception of reality.

Was the memory altered, or was it a sophisticated deception?

Who exactly is at fault?

Tang Nian has no way of knowing about those things for the time being, but any progress is a good thing.

After Cui Wensong brought his wife back to apply the medicine, she pressed her advantage, saying that their previous encounter was simply fate and that she wanted to invite Cui Wensong to have another drink together.

The purpose, of course, is to see if Cui Wensong will revert to his previous state.

Cui Wensong, looking every bit the good man, looked at Song Shiyi first upon hearing this: "Shiyi, can I go?"

"Why are you asking me?" Song Shiyi chuckled and tapped his forehead. "You know I get really sleepy around a certain time, so I can't control you at night."

"Just stay at home, don't get drunk and run around making a fool of yourself, and don't bother me with your smell."

Cui Wensong grinned foolishly, hugged Song Shiyi, leaned over and kissed her hard on the face, saying that his wife was the best.

It's clear he's still really looking forward to this drinking session.

However, when it came to actually drinking, he was extremely numb, silently stuffing food into his mouth.

"Young Master Cui?" Tang Nian tried waving her hand in front of Cui Wensong. "What's wrong? Do you remember me?"

Cui Wensong naturally showed no reaction, as if his soul had been taken over, leaving only his body to repeat the memories left behind in his previous life.

He was eating vegetables and meat normally, but as he kept stuffing things into his mouth, his abdomen gradually swelled up, soon surpassing his wife's, and it was still getting bigger.

The situation is even more serious than last time.

Just as Tang Nian was hesitating whether to cast a spell directly to wake the person up, a gust of cold wind suddenly blew by, carrying with it a sense of watchful intent with a warning.

Someone is spying on her.
