Chapter 105 The Hidden Space

Before she could finish speaking, Ye Liusi suddenly jumped out of the house.

She shook her head quickly, her face filled with horror, and said, "Miss Tang, are you sure you heard me right? There were only the two of us sisters in the room just now, and we didn't argue. There shouldn't have been any noise."

Ye Liunian disregarded everything else and followed her out, walking to her older sister's side and gently patting her back.

This wasn't the first time Tang Nian had said this.

At first, Ye Liunian didn't think anything of it.

But now that Tang Nian brought it up again, and since it was nighttime, she had to be considerate of her sister's feelings even if she didn't believe it.

Tang Nian thought for a moment and realized that since she had no proof, the two of them probably still didn't believe her.

She and Lou Mu exchanged a glance and decided to let the two of them go to their room to listen to the sounds.

The two sisters were initially somewhat unwilling.

After all, it was already late, and Tang Nian wasn't the only girl living next door.

However, Tang Nian's words had really frightened the two sisters, making them quite uneasy.

After hesitating for a moment, the two nodded in agreement.

Once the two entered Tang Nian's room, things quieted down.

The whole room was quiet; there wasn't a sound.

Just as Ye Liunian was getting impatient and wanted to pull her sister away, a quarrel suddenly came from the next room.

The quiet in the room made the arguing next door seem all the more audible.

The four people could hear it clearly; the sound was coming from the Ye sisters' room.

The two sisters had just come out of their room and were certain that there was no one else inside.

Hearing people arguing here was naturally quite frightening, especially since it was the voices of two men.

Ye Liunian's face turned pale instantly, but she still tried to remain calm, showing no sign of it.

She took a deep breath, suppressing the unease in her heart.

Ye Liusi, on the other hand, gripped her younger sister's hand tightly with a look of horror, muttering worriedly, "Sister, how could this happen? There's no one in our room, so how could there be a sound?"

Ye Liunian gently patted Ye Liusi's hand and looked up at Lou Mu and Tang Nian.

"May I ask who you two are?"

She had initially thought the two people in front of her were just high-ranking officials invited by the theater, but now it seemed that their identities were probably not so simple.

The fact that they came to investigate repeatedly and remained unfazed by the sounds coming from the empty room next door suggests that they might be there to rescue them.

This thought gradually calmed the unease in Ye Liunian's heart.

Tang Nian smiled upon hearing this, and asked inscrutably, "We are two Celestial Masters. My surname is Tang. Have you heard of me?"

"You're actually Master Tang!" The two sisters were somewhat surprised.

Tang Nian pursed her lips and nodded in a serious manner.

It seems that her reputation is quite high in the Great Chu.

Ye Liusi pointed at Lou Mu standing to the side: "Then this isn't Young Master Tang, but Young Master Ming?"

Lou Mu never told her his surname. After he returned, his younger sister told her that the girl next door was surnamed Tang. Since they were siblings, she naturally assumed that Lou Mu was also surnamed Tang.

Lou Mu naturally wouldn't argue over such a trivial matter, and nodded expressionlessly under Tang Nian's ambiguous gaze.

To be more convincing, he subtly took a step back and stood diagonally behind Tang Nian.

Young Master Ming is even more handsome than rumored.

This realization made Ye Liusi even more eager, and she almost forgot about her current situation.

Tang Nian pretended to be serious, pulling Ye Liusi back to reality: "I suspect that the room you two are currently living in may be haunted by ghosts. If you two need it, I can take a look for you."

Upon hearing this, neither of the Ye sisters immediately agreed. They looked at each other for a long time, their eyes filled with a complex emotion that Tang Nian couldn't understand.

After a long silence, Ye Liunian nodded and said, "Please, Master Tang, help us and give us some peace and quiet."

Tang Nian breathed a slight sigh of relief upon seeing this. There was a reason she had to explore their room, and if the two of them disagreed, she would have to put in a lot of effort.

Without hesitation, she said, "We still don't know what's going on next door. We're afraid we'll have to go into your room to check. Would that be convenient for you two?"

The two sisters nodded in agreement without hesitation.

"Of course it's convenient, please."

After saying that, Ye Liusi stood up.

Tang Nian and Lou Mu exchanged a glance, picked up the longswords leaning against the wall, and followed Ye Liusi to the next room.

"Miss Ye, please wait in our room for a moment with your sister."

"good."

Ye Liusi placed her hands on the door, her bright eyes quickly scanning the room before she quickly pulled her head back, nodded, and closed the door.

With no one else around, the two of them looked around.

The layout of the room was similar to that of a two-person room, but it always gave people a feeling of being small and cramped.

The two looked around and then stopped in front of a corner without prior arrangement.

This is the location where the sound came from.

Lou Mu reached out his hand towards that corner.

When I touched the wall there, nothing changed; it felt just like any other wall.

The room was completely silent, with only the sound of their breathing audible.

Tang Nian narrowed her eyes slightly. After thinking for a moment, she took out a talisman from her sleeve and threw it directly towards that corner.

The talisman remained firmly affixed to the wall, and nothing happened.

Tang Nian didn't believe in superstitions, so she leaned closer and squinted to examine the intricate patterns on the talisman.

"That's right..."

This is a talisman given to her by her master, why is there no reaction at all?

At that moment, the longsword behind her rang out in its scabbard.

"What is this sword?"

Lou Mu remembered that Tang Nian's sword was just an ordinary product forged by a blacksmith, but this one seemed to have gained sentience.

"My master gave it to me."

After speaking, she drew her sword.

The sword's clang grew louder and louder; if Tang Nian hadn't gripped it tightly, it probably would have flown right out of her hand.

"You can break through the barrier?" Tang Nian stared at the restless sword in front of her, somewhat doubtful.

How could the spirit sword tolerate its new master questioning it? It swiftly broke free from Tang Nian's hand, slashed at the air, and before Tang Nian could react, it returned to its sheath.

The air between the two seemed to freeze.

Immediately afterwards, the surrounding space began to fluctuate.

Amidst the fluctuations, Tang Nian discovered through her blurred vision that they had somehow ended up in another space.

Even though the windows were closed, a strong wind picked up, making it impossible for Tang Nian to open her eyes.

She rubbed her eyes and tried to open them wide.

This place is very similar to the room Ye Liusi and the others had just entered, but she could clearly sense that this room was not the room of the Ye sisters that the two of them had just entered.

The two places seem to be two different spaces that overlap.
