Upon seeing Lou Mu, she raised an eyebrow slightly, poured herself another glass of wine, and slowly walked to Lou Mu's side.
"Why are you so late?" she said coquettishly.
Lou Mu pursed his lips tightly, suppressing his nausea, and refused to back down.
Just as the wine glass was about to touch Lou Mu's lips, the entire prefectural governor's mansion suddenly began to tremble.
The house shook and the ground cracked, as if a powerful force was tearing the entire space apart.
Lou Mu took the opportunity to distance himself from the fake Tang Nian. He watched everything with a cold eye, already having made up his mind.
After the entire Princess's mansion collapsed, dark clouds suddenly filled the sky above the County Chief's mansion, accompanied by lightning and thunder.
After a deafening roar, a giant python burst from the ground and shot straight into the sky.
The giant python had a massive body, its scales gleaming with a cold light, and its eyes radiated a chilling glow.
Lou Mu, however, remained calm. He knew very well that this was Tang Nian.
Tang Nian has never liked Xiang Liu's nine-headed appearance. Perhaps it was because her feelings were too strong, but her true form has always been that of a giant python.
Before Lou Mu could even feel happy, the giant python's tail swept straight towards Lou Mu and the fake Tang Nian.
Lou Mu quickly rolled over to dodge, coldly watching as the fake Tang Nian was thrown into the ruins.
"Niannian, it's me."
Once Tang Nian had returned to her true form, she couldn't hear anything else. She merely glanced at Lou Mu, flicked her tongue at him, and raised her tail high again.
Lou Mu was extremely anxious as he saw that Tang Nian was not listening at all.
He dared not attack Tang Nian, and could only keep dodging Tang Nian's thick tail.
At this moment, the fake Tang Nian slowly climbed up from the ruins.
Finally, Lou Mu seized an opportunity.
He acted swiftly, using his powerful magic to immobilize the fake Tang Nian, rendering him temporarily unable to move.
However, Tang Nian remained agitated, and her power continued to increase, as if she were about to destroy the entire prefecture.
"Tang Nian! Let me explain!"
Whether their current location is real or fake, if Tang Nian continues to cause destruction, they will all be torn apart by the space.
Tang Nian slowly lowered her head, her snake-like eyes devoid of any emotion, as if she were looking at a dead person.
Lou Mu took a deep breath, knowing that this was not a solution.
He slowly raised his hand, muttering something under his breath.
A dark purple mark appeared on his forehead, and a mark also appeared faintly on the top of Tang Nian's head.
Slowly, Tang Nian transformed back into human form.
Lou Mu held Tang Nian tightly, trying to calm her down with his strength.
The rage in Tang Nian's eyes gradually faded, replaced by confusion and doubt.
Lou Mu breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this.
However, when they looked around, they found that the place had become a ruin.
The original houses, trees, flowers and plants have all vanished, leaving only the male and female protagonists and the fake Tang Nian standing on the empty ruins.
Looking at the scene before her, Tang Nian felt a surge of inexplicable anger.
She turned to look at Lou Mu, her eyes filled with questioning and dissatisfaction.
Lou Mu knew the doubts and anger in Tang Nian's heart at this moment. He took a deep breath and began to explain.
"Niannian, the reason I did this is to make sure you are safe."
"If you're still not satisfied, why don't you punch me a few times?"
As he spoke, Lou Mu moved his face closer to Tang Nian's.
Tang Nian rolled her eyes at Lou Mu, then looked at the fake Tang Nian who was still struggling.
What's wrong with her?
"It's probably all the spiritual energy of that evil god that's transformed, just to lure you into a berserk state and then seize your body."
Tang Nian clenched her fists tightly as she listened to Lou Mu's explanation.
Recalling what she had just witnessed, she couldn't help but feel a lingering fear.
If Lou Mu hadn't intervened in time, she probably would have caused a major disaster.
"So, what should we do with her? Can we just kill her?"
There's no other way at the moment, so we have to give it a try.
But Lou Mu was still worried that something might happen to Tang Nian, so he slit the throat of the fake Tang Nian before Tang Nian could.
Seeing a woman who looked exactly like her die at the hands of her lover, Tang Nian found it somewhat amusing.
With the death of the fake Tang Nian, the illusion shattered.
They were still in front of the temple, the people were still lying on the ground, and the priest had fainted.
Snowflakes landed on Tang Nian's nose. She looked up and saw that it had started snowing heavily again, and a thin layer of snow had accumulated on the people's bodies.
The two exchanged a glance and both saw the seriousness in each other's eyes.
Tang Nian looked up at the sky: "What exactly do you want to do!"
The evil god's laughter echoed in the air, and for a moment, neither of them could find her hiding place.
"Either you offer your body to me, or let these ignorant mortals die!"
Tang Nian took a deep breath, trying hard not to burst into a tirade.
"Lou Mu, take all these people down the mountain and protect them."
"No way." Lou Mu refused without even thinking.
How could he possibly let Tang Nian face the Snow Demon alone?
Tang Nian gazed deeply at Lou Mu, then suddenly cupped his face in her hands and leaned in to kiss his cheek.
"Honey, you have to believe me."
Lou Mu looked at her, his eyes filled with worry and reluctance.
He knew this was the best way, but he was still worried about Tang Nian's health.
Tang Nian patted Lou Mu's head like she was coaxing a child, and Lou Mu grabbed her hand and squeezed it tightly.
It was as if he was telling Tang Nian that he had agreed, and it was also as if he was giving himself the courage to leave Tang Nian here alone.
He will handle everything else so that Tang Nian has no worries.
He released his grip, and a flash of white light appeared. The people on the ground and Lou Mu all disappeared, leaving Tang Nian alone to face the crazed god.
It was very quiet around her, with only the whistling of the cold wind echoing in Tang Nian's ears.
The biting cold made Tang Nian shiver involuntarily.
Sure enough, she should hibernate in winter.
"Can we have a proper talk?" Tang Nian shouted, breaking the eerie silence.
"Talk? What's there to talk about!"
The evil god sneered, unwilling to show himself.
The wind and snow grew louder and louder with her voice, almost obscuring Tang Nian's eyes.
Tang Nian calmly brushed the snow off her shoulders and head, her indifferent voice sounding as if she were speaking to an evil god without any surprise.
"Since you're so persistent, then so be it. In my opinion, Kunlun will soon send an immortal to punish you."
After saying that, Tang Nian turned around and prepared to leave.
Seeing this, the evil god's anger burned even brighter.
She walked directly out from behind a tree, the snow melting at her feet, revealing an open space.
"Stop right there!" the evil god roared. "Do you think I'll let you leave so easily?"
Tang Nian stopped and turned to look at the god, her eyes filled with disdain and provocation: "Oh? So what do you plan to do? Kill me? Or let the snowstorm in the prefecture rage even more?"
