Chapter 81 No Waste Left Behind (2/2)

Sato's white-gloved hands tightly grasped the day's "Beijing-Tianjin Daily". The headline on the front page of the newspaper was like a needle, piercing his eyes fiercely:

"Liu Sheng led his troops to capture the Heilongjiang Military Headquarters! The rebel leader Liu Chu's nephew was executed!"

He held the newspaper tighter and tighter, and the newspaper made a tearing sound in his hands under the weight, and finally with a "swish", it was torn into countless pieces.

"Baga!" His roar was like thunder, shaking several officers in the office, and they all lowered their heads and held their breath. He pulled off his military cap, revealing his shaved scalp, "Xie Yun, you Chinese fox!"

His voice was low and hoarse, and every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth.

The adjutant standing beside him swallowed his saliva and carefully handed over a secret report he had just received: "Commander, it has just been confirmed that the fight at the Chamber of Commerce... was planned by Xie Yun."

Sato turned his head suddenly, his long and narrow eyes narrowed into a slit, and his eyes pierced him like a knife: "Speak clearly."

The adjutant's forehead was covered with cold sweat, and he continued with gritted teeth: "Xie Yun colluded with the Qing Gang. They burned our warehouse and arrested Zhao Qingshan... Now, even Liu Chu has no say."

"Bang!"

Sato slammed his fist on the desk, his voice cold as ice, yet burning with suppressed anger.

"Xie Yun... they are trying to drive us out of North China completely!"

The officers around him were silent, and no one dared to offend him at this time.

"Now that Xie Yun holds the military power in Beiping, we can no longer act rashly..."

He paused, and a sinister smile slowly appeared on the corner of his mouth.

"But this matter will not end like this."

His eyes slowly moved to a trembling figure kneeling in the corner of the room.

Natori lowered his head and supported himself on the cold floor with his hands.

He could feel Sato's gaze wrapped around him like a poisonous snake, and cold sweat slid down his back, soaking his military uniform.

"Natori-kun, lift your head."

Sato's voice was so soft that it was almost eerie, but it made Natori tremble all over.

He didn't dare to disobey, and slowly raised his head to meet Sato's bottomless eyes.

Sato looked down at him, the smile on his lips gradually widening, but he could not feel any warmth.

"Natori-kun, I've given you enough chances..."

Natori's pupils suddenly contracted, and fear surged like a tide.

He rushed forward and hugged Sato's legs tightly, his voice trembling with despair: "Commander Sato! Xie Yun is too cunning! Give me another chance! I will definitely catch him! I will!"

Sato looked down at him, his eyes as cold as if he was looking at a dying ant.

“…I don’t leave any waste here.”

Before he finished speaking, he suddenly pulled out the saber from his waist and stabbed it directly into Natori's waist and back. Blood gushed out instantly and splashed on Sato Yui's military boots.

Natori let out a sharp scream, his hands loosened weakly, and he collapsed to the ground.

Sato had a blank expression on his face. He flipped his wrist and the blade stirred in the flesh and blood. Naoto's body completely collapsed without a sound, and then he pulled back the knife.

The office was deathly silent, with only the sound of dripping blood echoing in everyone's ears.

Sato's sharp and vicious eyes swept over the officers around him, and the corners of his mouth slowly raised a cold arc: "I hope you won't be as stupid as him."

The officers all bowed their heads in unison, their voices trembling as they said, “Yes!”
