Chapter 89 Temple (2/2)

After saying that, he undressed in front of her.

Zheng Wanqing turned her face away, but the tips of her ears were quietly dyed red.

After being married for more than half a decade, she was still not used to his unrestrained nature. He was totally different from the serious and rigid person he was when they first met.

After he was dressed properly, she went forward and straightened his collar.

"Okay." She stepped back and looked at him, a satisfied smile spreading through her eyes, "My husband is so handsome."

Xie Yun reached out and took her into his arms, swinging her around as if to lead her to dance: "After all, you have to be worthy of Madam's beauty."

Zheng Wanqing personally asked the kitchen to prepare breakfast, which consisted of thick rice porridge in an exquisite Qingying porcelain bowl.

She filled a bowl and pushed it in front of him. Her face looked particularly gentle in the steam: "Drink it while it's hot."

Xie Yun scooped a spoonful and frowned slightly: "Why put ginger in it?"

The ginger shreds were cut very finely, floating on the surface of the porridge in a golden color.

"I heard you cough twice last night." Zheng Wanqing lowered her head and stirred her bowl of porridge. "It's chilly in spring, so I need to drive away the cold."

Xie Yun looked at her for a while, rubbed the top of her head with his hand, and drank the ginger porridge without leaving a drop.

When they were about to go out after breakfast, Zheng Wanqing took out a dark blue round-necked jacket trimmed with black fox fur and put it on Xie Yun.

The circle of sleek fox fur on his collar made his jawline look even sharper, revealing a noble demeanor rarely seen in recent days.

"Madam, are you going to wrap me up like a dumpling?" Xie Yun lowered his head and let her fiddle with him. There was a doting and helpless tone in his voice and indulgence in his eyes.

Zheng Wanqing stood on tiptoe to straighten his collar: "It's windy outside."

A shiny black car was already waiting outside the door.

Seeing the two people coming out hand in hand, Zhou Lin immediately got out of the car, stood at attention, and opened the back door neatly: "Young Marshal, Young Madam."

Zheng Wanqing nodded slightly, with a proper smile on her lips: "Thank you for your hard work, Adjutant Zhou."

After saying that, she bent down and got into the car.

Xie Yun followed closely behind, closed the car door and then held Zheng Wanqing's gloved hand in his palm.

The gloves were made of the finest lambskin, and felt as soft as skin.

He gently stroked the back of her hand, as if he was playing with some treasure.

"Dabei Zen Temple?" Xie Yun asked, his voice sounding particularly low in the closed compartment.

The Dabei Temple is a popular place of worship, and its magnificent palace has always been the first choice for the city's dignitaries to worship Buddha.

Zheng Wanqing shook her head slightly, her hair swaying as she moved: "Let's go to Ciyun Temple."

Xie Yun raised his eyebrows, a hint of surprise flashed in his phoenix eyes, "Isn't Dabeiyuan more famous? You would have gone there before."

"You will be starting tomorrow." Zheng Wanqing lowered her eyelashes, casting two curved shadows on her fair cheeks, "Going to Dabei Temple will take too much time."

As he spoke, his fingers twisted together unconsciously.

Xie Yun stared at her lowered face and suddenly laughed softly: "Thank you, Madam, for your consideration."

He raised his hand to signal, and Zhou Lin immediately started the car.

Amid the sound of the engine, Xie Yun suddenly leaned close to her ear, and his warm breath sprayed on her sensitive earlobe.

"But the vegetarian food at Ciyun Temple cannot compare to the eight-treasure tofu at Dabei Temple."

His voice was very low, with a hint of teasing.

Zheng Wanqing finally raised her eyes and met his smiling eyes, which were like deep pools that made people indulge in them.

"Who said you'd stay for dinner? We'll leave after we burn incense." She paused, her voice gradually lowered, barely audible like a mosquito's buzz, "In the afternoon... I still have to pack your luggage."

Xie Yun hugged her tighter, resting his chin on the top of her head, and said, "Okay."
