Lie Tian Small World

Lie Tian Small World

The Lietian Small World is the small world Lin Shi is currently in, a small world where mortals and demon cultivators coexist. Of course, there are also half-demons born from the union of mortals and demon cultivators. Mountain spirits and wild monsters are also present. Apart from these, human cultivators are few and far between, and cultivators of other races are nowhere to be seen.

Lin Shi emerged from the ascension passage of the Lie Tian Minor World and arrived in the sky above it before plummeting to the ground. The Heavenly Dao of the Lie Tian Minor World clearly did not welcome Lin Shi's arrival, exhibiting a strong repulsive force.

Lin Shi fell into the mountains and forests of the Lie Tian Small World, where ordinary villages and towns lay below. In the forest, Lin Shi found a spacious cave hidden by vines. She changed into a clean Liu Xian dress, allowing her wounds to heal initially. She only had time to set up a simple protective array for herself before she fainted due to the rejection from the Heavenly Dao.

"Girl, wake up!" Someone gently nudged Lin Shi's body and called softly. It was a young woman's voice. She managed to wake Lin Shi from her rare slumber.

As soon as Lin Shi woke up, she sensed the presence of a woman who appeared to be an ordinary mortal beside her, but there was no sense of danger. Opening her eyes, she saw a round-faced young woman of about twenty years old, dressed in simple clothes and wearing a plain hairpin, sitting at the head of the bed, gently rocking her. Seeing that Lin Shi had opened her eyes, the woman stopped rocking and immediately exclaimed with delight, "Oh, you're finally awake!"

After waking up, Lin Shi looked around at her surroundings. It was clear that she was in a small side room of a farmhouse with earthen tiles. The small room had only a wooden door and a small square window. The window had long wooden planks forming a cross shape, and the top of the window was covered with beige kudzu cloth to keep out mosquitoes and prevent peeping.

The roof of the earthen-tiled house had a high wooden ceiling, obscuring the actual mortise and tenon structure at the top. Inside the small side room, there was only a bed, two small tables, two small wooden stools, and a small, folded-up wooden ladder. The two small tables were placed on opposite sides, not far from the bed. On the dark brown table on the left was a large wooden chest containing clothing and other items. On the dark brown table on the right were a candlestick, candles, an oil lamp, a bronze kettle with a wide belly and narrow mouth, and two chicken cups.

Lin Shi was lying on a simple wooden bed, with simple carvings of birds, animals, flowers, and birds on the headboard and side rails. The linen quilt had simple embroidery, but very little cotton filling. Underneath the bamboo mat was a thick layer of straw and stalks.

After surveying her surroundings, Lin Shi remained silent at first, allowing the unfamiliar young woman to help her sit up on the edge of the bed. Only then did she speak, asking, "Who are you? How did I get here?"

The unfamiliar young woman smiled, revealing white teeth and two deep dimples. Her face was kind and beautiful, with gentle eyes. She looked at Lin Shi and said softly, "I am Jiang Huilan, from Jiangjia Village. You fainted in the cave, and I found you and carried you home. You've been unconscious for several days. If you hadn't woken up today, I was worried you wouldn't survive. Young lady, what's your name? Where do you live?"

"I am Lin Shi, and I came here from a very distant village. Thank you for your help!" After saying a few words, Lin Shi frowned slightly. Because of the unbearable headache, she couldn't help but rub her forehead.

"Lin Shi, you are so beautiful!" Jiang Huilan couldn't help but exclaim when she saw the beauty rubbing her forehead. After praising her, she went to the table and brought over a bowl of medicine, handing it to Lin Shi. She said with concern, "You're suffering from a change in environment. Drink this medicine, and your headache will stop!"

Lin Shi looked at the honest and kind-hearted face of the young woman in front of her, then at the dark bowl of medicine, and accepted it anyway. She probed the bowl with her spiritual sense, but found nothing unusual.

Lin Shi then drank the bowl of dark, murky medicine down her throat. The moment the dark broth entered her throat, she couldn't help but let out a soft "Eh!" The headache, which even her spiritual energy couldn't alleviate, was instantly relieved after drinking the medicine, and she was completely better in no time.

"Miss Jiang, what kind of medicine is this? How come it works so well?" Lin Shi placed the empty medicine bowl on the bedside table and couldn't help but ask Jiang Huilan in front of her.

Jiang Huilan smiled shyly. She said, "This medicine was obtained from the mountain god of Daming Mountain. Whenever the villagers have a headache or fever, they just boil a bowl of this medicine and drink it, and they feel better."

"That's truly amazing!" Lin Shi smiled. After smiling, she asked casually, "Where is Daming Mountain? Can people from other places go to Daming Mountain to pray for blessings and medicine?"

Jiang Huilan replied neither humbly nor arrogantly, "It's the highest mountain outside. You can see it as soon as you go outside. Outsiders can also go to Daming Mountain to pray for blessings and medicine. As long as they are kind-hearted and have not done anything bad, they can successfully obtain the medicine. Bad people who go to Daming Mountain will not only fail to obtain the medicine, but may also be killed by the mountain god of Daming Mountain!" Her eyes were clear and bright, carrying a sense of knowing everything yet being submissive and accepting.

Lin Shi looked intently at Jiang Huilan's expression. Her gaze was clear and bright, as if she could see through everything and understand everyone's pretense and true feelings.

"Then I'll go out and take a look!" Lin Shi said. With that, she threw back the covers and got out of bed. She was still wearing her beautiful Liuxian dress, only now it had been carefully wiped clean of any dust. Jiang Huilan watched her from the side and kindly helped her to her feet.

After getting up, Lin Shi got out of bed and put on the clean shoes that were neatly arranged under the bed. She left the simple mud-brick house and stood at the door, gazing at the high mountains that could be clearly seen in the distance.

From a distance, Daming Mountain resembles a towering bamboo shoot, wide at the base and pointed at the peak. Its summit pierces the clouds with an air of pride, its peak hidden in the misty clouds, like a half-open gate to a fairyland, incredibly mysterious and beautiful.

Daming Mountain looks somewhat like one of the main peaks of the Seven Peaks Mountain Range. Lin Shi pondered to herself. Her divine sense immediately extended to Daming Mountain opposite her to investigate.

On the rugged, steep cliffs of Daming Mountain, layers upon layers of rock, their textures interwoven, resemble a giant bas-relief, etched with the marks of time and geological changes. Deep ravines crisscross the mountain, their bottomless depths concealing rushing streams that crash against jagged rocks, splashing white spray before cascading into deep pools below. The roar of the rushing water echoes throughout the valley, lingering for a long time. Lush, dense forests blanket the mountainside, the pines rustling in the breeze, ancient trees reaching for the sky, their branches forming a canopy that blocks sunlight from reaching the ground. Only dappled light manages to penetrate the dense foliage, nourishing the countless rare flowers and grasses and the various birds and beasts that inhabit the area beneath.

After Lin Shi finished exploring the surface of Mount Daming with her divine sense, she began to probe deeper into the mountains. Her divine sense traveled from the foot of the mountain upwards, stopping at a protruding platform halfway up the mountain. She saw a cat as large as a small mountain lying on the ground, sleeping with its belly up. Beside the stone chamber next to it, several women of different ages were busy at work: some were sweeping, some were wiping the railings, some were cooking, and others were grooming the large cat.

It was actually a female cat demon at the Golden Core stage! Through the cat's massive body, one could vaguely see the phantom of a cute little girl, but her muscles were solid, and she looked incredibly strong, so no one could easily hurt her in the slightest.

The cat demon became a mountain god, protecting human women?! Lin Shi was a little surprised to see the harmonious scene between humans and demons, and then she quietly withdrew her divine sense.

Lin Shi had just withdrawn her divine sense when she felt a bright gaze beside her. She turned her head and met the eyes of Jiang Huilan, who was half a head shorter than her.

"Miss Lin Shi, you are a human cultivator, aren't you?" Jiang Huilan asked directly. Her eyes were still clear and bright, but now they carried an unwavering certainty.

"How do you know?" Lin Shi asked, a hint of surprise on her face, but no wariness.

"Because I am a half-demon, I can sense the aura of cultivators!" Jiang Huilan revealed her secret. As she finished speaking, fluffy cat ears appeared on the top of her head.

"Are you a half-demon born from the union of a human and a cat demon? A direct descendant of the cat demon on Mount Daming? Is that cat demon the mountain god of Mount Daming?" Lin Shi widened her eyes slightly and asked a series of questions.

Seeing Lin Shi's curious expression, Jiang Huilan laughed. After laughing for a while, she replied, "The mountain god of Daming Mountain is indeed a cat demon, but I am not her direct relative. My mother was a low-level cat demon. Because my human cultivator father failed to advance to the Golden Core stage and died, my mother followed him in death. I live here alone. In Jiang Family Village at the foot of the mountain, there are my clansmen. There are humans, demons, and half-demons."

"Feel sorry!"

"It's okay, it's been a long time!"

After Lin Shi and Jiang Huilan finished speaking, they looked at each other and remained silent for a while.
