Slight punishment
Chi Zhuo's kiss carried an irresistible force.
Lin Tingyue tried to struggle, but found that Chi Zhuo almost aggressively pried open her teeth and forcefully pressed his lips against hers. His cold breath mixed with a faint pine scent made her feel somewhat lost.
Startled by this sudden action, she could only grip his shirt tightly with her fingers to endure it.
This was not the kiss she had imagined. It was aggressive, as if it wanted her to submit. The more she resisted, the more the other party took advantage of her. This was not a kiss; it was Chi Zhuo's punishment.
Chi Zhuo wanted to use this method to warn her that her unrealistic ideas were insignificant in front of him.
Gradually, as Chi Zhuo moved, Lin Tingyue's body began to weaken, and her wrists, which were gripping his shirt, became slightly sore and slowly loosened.
Sensing Lin Tingyue's softening, Chi Zhuo's movements also became gentler, but he did not leave her lips. The two lips met, feeling each other's breath, and their bodies grew increasingly hot.
Chi Zhuo slowly wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. Through the thin fabric of her clothes, Chi Zhuo could feel her heartbeat and body temperature.
The last time I felt this relaxed was that night.
Lin Tingyue's eyelashes trembled as she was forced to tilt her head back.
Chi Zhuo gently stroked her neck with his fingertips. She tried to escape, but her hands were firmly held in his grasp.
Chi Zhuo looked down at the person in his arms. At this moment, her cheeks were flushed, her eyelashes were wet, and her lips were slightly swollen, looking like she had been severely bullied.
"No..." Lin Tingyue said, her voice trembling.
As soon as he finished speaking, Chi Zhuo's eyes darkened considerably. He wrapped his arms around her waist again and lowered his head once more. This time, the kiss was slow and deep, carrying a hint of exploration and probing. He even deliberately bit her lips gently, making it impossible for her to break free.
"Mmm..." Lin Tingyue seemed to unconsciously let out a soft moan, which directly stimulated Chi Zhuo. He suddenly woke up, stopped moving abruptly, and quickly withdrew from Lin Tingyue's body.
As fresh air rushed in, Lin Tingyue could only slump in the corner of the sofa, panting heavily, her eyes glazed over, her lips swollen and red, completely bewildered.
Chi Zhuo was also slightly out of breath, his deep eyes fixed on her, and the smile on his lips seemed to be announcing the pleasure he had just experienced.
"Now," his voice carried a lingering languor and a hint of lingering pressure, "do you still think I have common ground with other people when we eat together?"
Lin Tingyue covered her lips, her eyes filled with immense shame and overwhelming shock.
"You... shameless!"
She almost buried her head between her legs, her voice trembling and tinged with a sob.
Chi Zhuo seemed to chuckle softly at this moment, slowly and methodically straightening his shirt that she had just crumpled, his movements elegant and composed, but his eyes were fixed on her.
"Remember this feeling."
He resumed his usual tone, cold and indifferent, "Lin Tingyue, you are mine, body and soul. I've said it before, don't test my patience, and don't meddle in things that aren't your business."
After saying that, he strode directly into the study, leaving Lin Tingyue alone in the living room.
The burning sensation still lingered on her lips, and the air seemed to still be filled with the scent of their passionate embrace.
Lin Tingyue didn't know whether she should be angry or ashamed. She was a canary whose wings had been broken by Chi Zhuo. She didn't have her own freedom, and she didn't deserve to be free.
She raised her hand and vigorously wiped her lips, as if that would erase the humiliation he had just inflicted on her.
She gradually realized that she not only feared him, but also hated him.
I hate his way of doing things, and I hate even more the way he tries to control me all the time.
Two or three days passed, and Lin Tingyue kept recalling the scene from that day in her mind, making her somewhat absent-minded.
That afternoon, she received a call from her brother, Lin Yujin.
"Yueyue, how have you been lately?"
Lin Yujin's voice carried concern and a hint of barely perceptible guilt.
Hearing her family's voices, Lin Tingyue almost couldn't hold back her tears of grievance.
"Brother, I'm fine."
"How are things going with you... Chi Zhuo?"
She suppressed the bitterness in her heart and tried to make her voice sound normal, "It's okay, brother, you don't need to worry."
"That's good." Lin Yujin seemed relieved. "By the way, I'm going back to China next weekend and will have a few days off. Why don't you invite Chi Zhuo along for a meal?"
Should I call it Shangchi Zhuo?
What a joke! She's trying to avoid him right now.
"Brother, can't we just eat together?" she pleaded softly with her brother.
There was silence on the other end of the phone from Lin Yujin. Suddenly, when he spoke again, his voice became much more serious.
"Yueyue, I heard from Mom that you don't really like him, but you're married now, and there are some formalities you have to go through. This is not only for outsiders to see, but more importantly, to let him know that you also have a brother to protect you."
"Brother..." Upon hearing these words, Lin Tingyue almost burst into tears.
"Listen to me, Yueyue. I'll have my assistant contact Chi Zhuo's side about the time and place. You just need to come with him, okay?"
"Okay, I understand."
After hanging up the phone, Lin Tingyue felt even heavier. Why did she always have to do the things she least wanted to do at the most awkward times?
If she were alone, she could naturally find countless ways to leave gracefully, but... she has a family, and she can't just stand by and watch her parents fall into trouble, burdened with huge debts, or even driven to desperation.
But when she thought of Chi Zhuo, Lin Tingyue frowned even more. Would he agree?
Sitting blankly in the studio for a long time, Lin Tingyue looked at the sunlight outside the window, but felt no warmth at all.
My brother is right. This is not just a meal, but a signal that the Lin family is sending to the outside world that the two sides have a harmonious relationship since their marriage.
But she still didn't want to go to him, as if getting close to him was like getting close to a virus.
After agonizing over it all afternoon, as dusk approached, she finally mustered the courage to pick up her bag and walk out of the company.
After arriving home, she waited at the door for a while. Recently, Chi Zhuo had been coming home around this time every day.
But when Chi Zhuo appeared at the door, even though he saw Lin Tingyue, he still ignored her and went into the room.
They just ignored her like that.
Lin Tingyue's eyes widened in shock, followed by a burning anger within her.
What does "池濯" mean?
Should we give her the silent treatment?
Ignore her?
As she watched his back as he was about to enter the room, she clenched her fist and silently cursed him from behind.
But just then, Chi Zhuo turned around and their eyes met.
"What's up?"
Lin Tingyue froze on the spot, her heart pounding, as if she was about to be severely punished.
She suppressed her fear, quietly lowered her hand, and said in a slightly trembling voice, "I...I have something I want to discuss with you."
Chi Zhuo turned around, his eyes deep and his tone still as cold as ice, "Speak."
He just stood there, and Lin Tingyue still felt as if she was being oppressed.
“Um…” Lin Tingyue looked up slightly, mentally rehearsing her words. “My brother, Lin Yujin, is returning to China next week, and he wants to… invite us to dinner.”
She speaks incredibly fast, as if afraid that if she speaks too slowly she will be interrupted and rejected.
"Oh?" Chi Zhuo's tone rose as he walked towards her, then took a few steps to stand directly in front of her, his voice tinged with amusement. "So... are you here to inform me, or to ask for my permission?"
Lin Tingyue's heart sank, and she took a step back. "Yes... let's discuss it."
She tilted her head, reluctant to meet Chi Zhuo's gaze; she was somewhat afraid of his deep eyes.
"Discuss?" Chi Zhuo repeated, his tone devoid of emotion. "In what capacity are you discussing this with me? Are you, as Mrs. Chi, ordering me to attend your family gathering, or are you, as Lin Tingyue, asking me to do you the honor of attending dinner?"
Every word was like a knife, scraping away at Lin Tingyue's fragile self-esteem bit by bit.
She bit her lip, desperately trying to hold back the tears welling up in her eyes and prevent them from falling.
"Whatever you want. If you're busy, I'll just tell my brother."
She couldn't take it anymore and decided to turn around and run away.
But Chi Zhuo grabbed her wrist first, pinning her in front of him and forcing her to face him.
"What, trying to run away again?"
Tears welled up in Lin Tingyue's eyes, but she stubbornly remained silent, refusing to answer him.
Even so, Chi Zhuo was not angry. He reached out and gently brushed the stray hairs by her ear with his fingertips, tucking them behind her ear with great tenderness.
"Are you a crybaby?" he asked with a hint of mockery, his eyes never leaving his face.
Lin Tingyue stubbornly turned her face away and remained silent.
This sight piqued Chi Zhuo's interest even more. He leaned down and whispered in Lin Tingyue's ear, his deep voice gently caressing her earlobe, causing her to tremble uncontrollably.
"Do you remember how it felt that day?"
Suddenly, Lin Tingyue recalled his almost frantic invasion and conquest. She didn't want to go through that again. She began to want to break free from his control.
But Chi Zhuo only got closer and closer to her. She was powerless to struggle, and finally she simply closed her eyes.
Just when she thought Chi Zhuo was coming again, he suddenly took a step back and let go of her hand.
"I agree to this."
After speaking in a calm tone, Chi Zhuo turned around and headed straight for the study.
Lin Tingyue stood there stunned for a moment, somewhat surprised by his sudden change in attitude.
Inside the study.
Chi Zhuo stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and instructed his assistant to arrange a time for dinner with Lin Yujin on the weekend.
His gaze fell on the window, his mind replaying Lin Tingyue's slightly red lips and her panicked yet bewildered eyes. He was almost addicted to this feeling.
The person on the other end of the phone seemed to have been talking for a long time, and the call didn't end, but Chi Zhuo was lost in thought.
"President Chi?"
"Mr. Chi, are you still listening?"
"..."
It wasn't until he was reminded that Chi Zhuo suddenly snapped out of his daze; he had actually been lost in thought because of that kiss!
His gaze darkened, and he spoke calmly to his assistant on the other end of the phone:
"Okay, let's arrange it this way."
