swift and decisive measures
Lin Tingyue was woken up early in the morning by a kiss from Chi Zhuo.
She vaguely felt someone breathing in her ear, and when she slowly opened her eyes, she found that Chi Zhuo was staring intently at her, his hands almost never stopping.
She subconsciously let out a soft hum, trying to avoid the other person's touch, but her body recognized the familiar scent first and did not resist, but instead moved closer and closer.
"Awake?" Chi Zhuo's voice was hoarse from just waking up, and the kiss landed again.
She blinked, not fully awake yet, but her body recognized his familiar presence first and unconsciously moved closer to him.
A warm smile appeared on Chi Zhuo's lips as he leaned down and placed a light, feather-like kiss on her forehead.
"Good morning," he said again, this time kissing the tip of her nose.
Lin Tingyue finally woke up completely, and the corners of her lips unconsciously curved into a smile: "Good morning."
His fingertips gently traced her brow bone, then slowly slid down along the contours of her cheek, finally stopping at her chin.
Those deep eyes were filled with a tenderness she knew all too well, and a trace of longing that she could clearly see.
"Have you missed me these past few days?" His voice was filled with undisguised longing.
"Yes, I miss you very much." In fact, she had been thinking about you almost every day during the days they had been apart, but she didn't dare to say it out loud and desperately suppressed the thoughts in her heart.
Now that the real person is right in front of me, the emotions that have been suppressed for several days have finally found an outlet.
He didn't rush to kiss her lips, but continued his gentle exploration.
His fingers traced her neck, lingered briefly at her collarbone, and then moved upwards, gently combing through the stray hairs behind her ears.
Every touch is filled with cherishing and affection, as if reliving every familiar detail from memory.
Lin Tingyue closed her eyes, savoring the delicate touch.
His fingertips, still warm from the morning air, sent shivers down his spine wherever they touched.
When she opened her eyes again, she found Chi Zhuo staring intently at her.
"I'm sorry I haven't been able to be by your side these past few days," he said softly, his fingertips gently tracing her eyebrows.
She shook her head: "Everything has been taken care of, don't worry."
"I know you can handle it, but it still hurts me." He gently pressed his forehead against hers, their breaths mingling. "My Tingting, you've been wronged."
These words were spoken very softly, yet they struck her heart with tremendous force.
"I'm not wronged." Lin Tingyue's eyes were filled with tears, and for a moment, a feeling of bitterness welled up in her heart.
"With you here, I feel no grievance."
"Don't worry, I will help you get revenge. Those people will pay the price they deserve."
He finally kissed her lips, starting very lightly and slowly, like a butterfly resting on a petal, just gently touching.
Then he gradually increased the pressure, but still maintained a restrained gentleness. He cupped her face in his palm, his thumb gently caressing her cheek.
This kiss was different from the usual passionate and possessive kisses; it was more delicate and penetrated deeper into the soul.
It was as if he wanted to convey to her, little by little, the longing he hadn't been able to express and the comfort he hadn't been able to give her in the past few days through this kiss.
Lin Tingyue reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, responding to the gentle kiss.
The kiss deepened, yet remained tender and reassuring. His tongue gently explored, intertwining with hers, unhurried and graceful, like a slow dance.
Her hands unconsciously gripped the fabric of his shirt, and she pressed her body even closer to him.
When Lin Tingyue ended the kiss, her cheeks were flushed. Chi Zhuo looked at her, his eyes full of love and admiration.
"Have I ever told you that you look especially beautiful when you kiss me first?" he chuckled softly.
She gave him a playful glare, but couldn't hide the smile on her lips: "Don't give me that."
But to Chi Zhuo, this shyness only stirred his restless heart. He no longer held back and turned around to press Lin Tingyue down.
After a vigorous workout, Lin Tingyue was completely exhausted, too lazy to even move her fingertips. She could only lie limply in his arms, feeling his equally rapid heartbeat and the burning heat from their skin touching.
After a while, Chi Zhuo finally sat up slightly and brushed away the sweat-dampened hair that was stuck to her forehead.
The two embraced quietly for a moment, enjoying the rare tenderness and tranquility after the storm.
Lin Tingyue leaned lazily against him, letting him serve her.
After cleaning her up, Chi Zhuo wrapped her in a large bath towel and carried her back to bed. He then lay back down and pulled her into his arms again.
"Sleep a little longer, you don't need to go to the studio today." He patted her back. "I'll take care of things outside."
His hand gently stroked her back, as if to soothe her, but also purely out of a desire to touch her.
This kind of intimate contact without lust made Lin Tingyue feel especially safe and cherished.
"Is it really okay what happened yesterday?" he asked softly, referring to the trouble she was having at work.
“It’s alright,” she shook her head, “it’s all been resolved.”
"You've worked hard," he said with pride. "My Tingting has always been this strong. But you don't always have to be so strong in front of me."
She lifted her head and kissed his lips again, this time a short but grateful kiss.
"Thank you," she whispered to his lips.
"What are you thanking me for?" he asked softly.
"Thank you for always knowing how to comfort me."
"Then sleep a little longer, no rush."
Lin Tingyue was indeed still sleepy, and the intense exercise she had just done made her feel sore all over.
She found a comfortable position in his arms and closed her eyes peacefully.
Before going to sleep, she vaguely thought that she was really addicted. Was it not good to do such strenuous exercise so early in the morning?
But she was so tired that she closed her eyes and fell asleep again in the blink of an eye.

Upon returning to Zhuoyue, Chi Zhuo first instructed the company's legal department to immediately prepare materials and a statement, and to send a lawyer's letter to the Jiang Group. Secondly, he made a phone call to Jiang Huaizhang, the chairman of the Jiang Group.
The call was dialed and rang a few times before being answered. Jiang Huaizhang's calm voice, with just the right amount of enthusiasm, came from the other end.
"Mr. Chi? What a rare guest! What brings you to call this old man?"
I don't know if she genuinely doesn't understand her son, or if she's just pretending.
Chi Zhuo had no interest in pleasantries and cut to the chase, his voice as cold as ice: "Chairman Jiang, how much do you know about your son, Jiang Shaoyang?"
Jiang Huaizhang on the other end of the phone paused noticeably, his enthusiasm waning and replaced by caution: "Shaoyang? What... what trouble has he gotten into this time?"
Although his son was a good-for-nothing and had occasional scandals, he never really cared about him as long as no one died.
Since none of these issues touched upon the family's core interests, he turned a blind eye and let him roam freely outside.
But when Chi Zhuo called in person, his tone so cold, he instantly realized that things were not simple.
“It’s not trouble,” Chi Zhuo said calmly, yet every word carried immense weight, “it’s a crime.”
"What?!" Jiang Huaizhang's voice suddenly rose.
Chi Zhuo presented his statement methodically, his tone relatively even, yet it carried a suffocating sense of oppression.
"He condones, and may even secretly guide, his fans to continuously defame, insult, and dox my wife, Ms. Lin Tingyue, online, which has escalated to real-world harassment. My wife's car was maliciously scratched, garbage was dumped on her studio, and threatening phone calls were made directly to her personal cell phone. Mr. Jiang, do you need me to explain the seriousness of these actions and the corresponding legal responsibilities to you?"
Jiang Huaizhang gasped on the other end of the phone; he had no idea things had gotten this serious!
He only knew that his son had been in a bad mood recently, seemingly because of relationship problems, but he never expected that his son would be so foolish as to provoke Chi Zhuo and resort to such despicable and illegal means!
"President Chi, is there some misunderstanding? Shao Yang might just be confused for a moment..." Jiang Huaizhang tried to salvage the situation, his voice already tinged with urgency.
"Misunderstanding?" Chi Zhuo interrupted coldly, his tone finally revealing a sharp edge. "The scratches on Lin Tingyue's car, the trash at the door, the threats in the call logs, and the thousands of vulgar words and personal threats online—these are all irrefutable evidence."
Chairman Jiang, Jiang Shaoyang chose to remain silent and disappear after the incident, letting the situation escalate. That's his attitude. Besides, with the internet so prevalent these days, surely you're aware of this matter?
He paused, giving the other party a moment to process the information, before issuing his final ultimatum: "Chairman Jiang, I'm making this call out of respect for the Jiang Group and for your personal sake, as a final act of courtesy."
"First, Jiang Shaoyang must issue a sincere and clear public apology statement today through his personal and studio official accounts, acknowledging his past mishandling of relationships, explicitly condemning all cyberbullying and real-world harassment against Ms. Lin Tingyue, drawing a clear line between himself and her, and promising to bear corresponding legal responsibility. I need to review the contents of the statement."
"Second, immediately mobilize all the resources of your Jiang family to clean up all defamatory and insulting information about Lin Tingyue online, and restrain and warn those who participate in cyberbullying and harassment to stop all harmful behavior. If I see even one of these, I can't guarantee the future of the Jiang Group."
“Third,” Chi Zhuo’s voice turned icy, “keep an eye on your son. From now on, keep him away from Lin Tingyue’s life and make him disappear from our sight. If I find out he’s doing anything wrong again, or if Lin Tingyue is disturbed in the slightest because of him…”
Chi Zhuo didn't finish his sentence, but the rest of his words were self-evident: it was a blatant threat.
Jiang Huaizhang immediately expressed his opinion, his tone more solemn than ever before, even carrying a hint of humility:
"Mr. Chi, I understand! Thank you so much for calling! It's my fault for not raising my son properly, causing so much trouble and harm to Ms. Lin and you! Rest assured, I will handle it immediately and give you and Ms. Lin a satisfactory explanation!"
"That would be best." After saying that, Chi Zhuo hung up the phone without any further pleasantries.
At that moment, Jiang Huaizhang, on the other end of the phone, listened to the busy tone, his face ashen, his chest heaving violently. He slammed his phone on the table and roared, "You unfilial son! This unfilial son!"
He immediately summoned his secretary, his voice trembling with anger: "Immediately! Bring that bastard Jiang Shaoyang back to me! Right now! Immediately! No matter where he is or what he's doing, tie him up and bring him back!"
