Chapter 165 The Reversed Prophecy

It is based on the premise that the Kingdom of Saijing is the goal of the Holy Temple.

Compared to the easily defensible city of Orvik, its small population seemed to hold little interest for the Holy Church.

They'd much rather take a bite out of the Saijing royal family!

Elsie pondered for a moment, guessing that after she repelled the twenty-four-winged angel, He would need to replenish His energy.

Is it similar to the instinct of living organisms to eat?

In the end, he's still just a parasite!

...

Kyryat led everyone into the castle, and the autumn rain dampened their spirits.

Elsie used a magical barrier to keep out the wind and rain, but the Blood Knights were not so fortunate.

Their armor was completely soaked, and Kelyat ordered the maids to prepare new clothes for them.

Kelyat then beckoned Elsie to the main living room. On the way, Elsie encountered the witch Rig.

Rig patted Elsie's head: "Long time no see, Elsie."

"You've grown up!"

“Then you two chat first, I’ll go inform the lord,” Kyryat said with a smile.

Inside the main living room, the fireplace was burning, and Elsie picked up some fruit to fill her stomach.

The door opened, and Kaelin, having removed her armor, came to Elsie's side.

Rig stroked Elsie's long hair, her hand freezing the moment it touched the crown on Elsie's head.

"So, she really is rebellious?" Rig's words caught Elsie's attention.

“Rebellious?” Elsie repeated.

"Hmm, you noticed it too?" Rig spoke in a pleasant voice, seemingly unaware of the Nameless Skeleton and the Six-Crown Court.

"So, you've already encountered the Blood Crown?"

Elsie nodded, but she was truly speechless at Bloodcrown's capriciousness.

“No wonder, you must have seen the Blood Crown prophecy too, right?” Rig mentioned the Blood Crown prophecy.

"Hmm...hmm?" A question mark floated above Elsie's head.

What prophecy? Which prophecy? Did you see the prophecy yourself?

“Every crown holder can see prophecies about themselves.” The witch Rig calmly sipped her tea, completely unaware that Elsie beside her was beginning to fall into endless shock.

"That is a free realm that even witches cannot set foot in, and the stone tablet records the fate that the crown bearer will face."

"That's also how the crown forces its holder to avoid unfavorable options and survive as long as possible."

"I'm relieved to see that you saw the prophecy so early."

Reg casually reminded him, "As you can see, everything that's happening is either contrary to or different from the prophecy, isn't it?"

How should I put it?

Elsie realized that Rig seemed to have misunderstood her.

She did not see the prophecy provided by the Blood Crown, but instead realized her difference through the timelines of other monarchs.

On the other side, the nameless skeleton seems to hold the fate of all the kings in his hands, but he cannot pinpoint the specific outcome.

To put it bluntly, it's the story of multiple crown holders, and he can't distinguish which prophecy corresponds to which crown holder.

At the very least, these prophecies all reveal an important message.

If death is inevitable, then no matter how you try to change it, you will ultimately be unable to escape the predetermined fate.

So... what about myself?

Elsie desperately wanted her fate to be death, because the reverse meant survival, but interestingly...

Blood Crown just came and gave a calamity-inducing power on a whim, and then disappeared. The Nameless Skeleton didn't provide any related prophecies either.

The only visible vision that Blood Crown provided to himself was the death of kings. If this was the process of prophecy, then given Blood Crown's abilities, it probably wouldn't have materialized.

That's a good thing...

"Ahem, it seems you two are having a great chat!" Ekado was helped by Kyryat into the main living room.

"Grandpa!" Elsie couldn't believe her eyes. Only two years had passed, and Alcardo's body was no longer what it used to be.

"I'm fine, child," Ekado reassured Elsie with a smile.

“I’m so happy that you’re back in Orwick City.”

“I thought I would never see you again in this lifetime, my child. You are like a bird in a whirlwind, making it impossible to know where you will fly.”

It was a casual family conversation; the cavalrymen were resting for the night, while Elsie and the others discussed the hardships they had endured on their journey.

“You’ve been through so much…” Alcardo exclaimed.

Ever since Elsie left Orvik, he has regretted his actions.

Perhaps he should give up everything to be with Elsie?

Why is her story so lonely?

“Sigh.” Alcardo sighed. “Last year, the news of your return delighted me.”

"But by the time I found out, you had already gone to the Saijing royal family."

"Oh! That's right!" Ecardo slapped his forehead and exclaimed, "My memory is getting worse and worse!"

"Elsie, you...you mustn't interrupt me! Let me finish!"

Aikado's impatience was concerning, so they chose to listen.

“Alright, Elsie, I admit I made a mistake before!” Ekado said seriously, “I shouldn’t have given you the Tiran Poems!”

"?" Elsie asked, puzzled.

“I hope you haven’t gone too far, Elsie.” Ekado stared at Elsie.

"This is a trap set by the Holy See!"

"The so-called poems record the life experiences of a legendary person, and through the transmission of these experiences, future generations will gain insights from them."

Ekado coughed a few times, waved his hand to stop Elsie from helping him up, and continued to say with great effort, "But the Tiran Poems are different."

"We've been deceived; the Sanctuary has concealed the truth."

"The real Tiran died at the time of the fiefdom; the puppet who returned to the family ended the Poems under the control of the Sanctuary, which means..."

"Once the Tiran Cantata is activated, there will be those who are controlled by the Sanctuary..."

“What about my father?” Elsie suddenly asked.

Aikado pinched his trouser leg, frowned, and nodded.

"..." Elsie closed her eyes, then opened them again: "Is there no way to save it?"

“Perhaps?” Ecardo stared at Elsie: “Emotional bonds are a key part of it.”

"And that's why the Holy Church wants to kill you."

Elsie pondered for a moment, and roughly understood what she needed to do next.

His father, Alan, was controlled by the Tiran Psalms and was waiting for him to rescue him; he was the only possibility to save him!

The second is the Sanctuary. The relationship between the Sanctuary and the Twenty-Four Winged Angels determines the peril of this world and must be eradicated!

The third is the secret of the North, where Sia's memory shackles will be completely broken.

"I abandoned my Tiranic Poems, and the backlash from that has greatly diminished my strength," Ecardo said weakly. "However..."

Aikado suddenly lowered his head and smiled, saying...

"Freedom is wonderful!"
