Time flowed on once more, and Elsie opened her eyes to find herself surrounded by a lake.
The moonlight cast shimmering white light on the lake's surface.
She was clearly still reeling from the sudden change in scenery.
Elshi was near the lakeshore when it seemed that a large fish was skimming across the surface of the lake, making a muffled splashing sound.
"?" Elsie looked at the two people walking hand in hand by the lake with a puzzled expression.
One of them appears to be dressed in Tilan clothing? He is not wearing a helmet?
Who is that woman? Is she my great-grandmother?
They seemed to be talking about something. Elsie tried to get closer to eavesdrop, but she stepped on something and fell down the slope!
Tilan was startled, but quickly regained his composure and drew his longsword, aiming it at the direction from which the commotion had occurred.
The woman placed her hand on the sword and gestured to Tilan with her eyes not to be too nervous.
Tiran nodded, and then they went together to Elsie.
Elsie also crawled out of the thorn bushes, covered in dust and dirt.
"It's you! What are you doing here so late?" Tiran asked curiously about Elsie's whereabouts.
Elsie was speechless; plots involving freedom of speech were just too difficult!
It would be great if there was a narrator to help provide the options...
“Tilan, you’ve frightened her.” The woman chuckled as she crouched down, wiping the wounds Elsie had inflicted by the thorns with her clean white sleeve.
Does it hurt?
Elsie shook her head. Minor injuries like this will heal quickly... sigh?
She suddenly realized that she couldn't heal!
It's as if... the characteristics of that bloodline have disappeared!
how so! ?
"Hmm?" The woman suddenly paused, then reached out and lifted Elsie's chin, her eyes curving like crescent moons.
She seemed to be wondering about something, but now Elsie was even more puzzled.
Her voice, could it be...?
"Xia?"
As Elsie finished speaking, the stigmata on her forehead suddenly appeared, illuminating the surrounding darkness.
It also illuminated the beautiful woman in front of him.
She gazed at the stigmata, something seeming to flicker in her eyes, and suddenly, she reached out and grasped Tilan's hand, which was about to swing his sword.
"Tilan, don't get agitated."
Elsie trembled. Only now did she realize that Tiran had just tried to kill her. If it weren't for Sia stopping her, Elsie would probably be dead.
That look seemed to stem from fear of the unknown.
"Saint Yaro Orchid?" Shia gazed at the captivating holy mark and exclaimed, "How could this be..."
"!"
"So that's how it is..."
Sia turned to look at Tilan, squinted and smiled, "Tilan, it seems I've encountered something interesting."
“If it were a story about encountering an eavesdropper with the same stigmata as you under the moonlight, then there’s no need to waste time telling it again.” Tiran sheathed his sword and asked Sia, “What’s going on here?”
"She," Shia patted Elsie's head, "has your and my bloodline, she's our junior, you know?"
"Huh?" Tilan took a step back, then shook his head. "Impossible, absolutely impossible, I can't sense any blood relation..."
“A bond, but what if this is just a medium through which she came from the future?” Shia stood up, smiling, and said, “The body may not prove anything, but just now…”
"The last shackle of my Stigmata has been broken. I saw some things in the future, but... things didn't go as planned."
Tiran scratched his head, still spreading his hands in disbelief, and said, "Sia, you're the only one who knows me. I have no intention of getting married or having children, let alone with you..."
Tilan looked at Sia, who was slightly angry but still forced a smile, and quickly swallowed her words.
"Don't flatter yourself. Her bloodline is very complex. She is probably the offspring of your descendants and mine."
Tiran was speechless: "But... I won't get married. I still need to go home after killing the Demon King!"
Elsie stared at Tiran in shock. She had found information about Tiran being a time traveler in Alcardo's diary.
She thought it was an incredibly wild history, but she never expected it to be true!
So... Tiran's arrival in this world was just a formality?
Were they just invited? Or was an agreement made?
“Tiran,” Sia said, frowning, “we are already dead.”
"!?!" Tiran looked at Elsie, then at Sia: "The atmosphere's gotten this tense, so should I just die?"
“You…” Sia shook her head speechlessly: “I can see the future through this child’s stigmata.”
"The Demon Kings are not evil; they are merely the world's protective mechanism. Tilan, you have been used."
"Moreover, after the Demon King's death, you refused the investiture and asked to return to your own world, which angered a new extraterrestrial power."
"After witnessing that darkness, Gernard chose to submit and, persuaded by you, returned to his own kingdom, but he remained in seclusion until his death."
"Hagrid and the others also dispersed, including... me."
"You ultimately failed to escape the siege of the Sanctuary, becoming their puppet and the tool they used to indirectly kill me."
"But the bloodline I left behind was very well hidden, evading the detection of the sanctuary, which is why this absurd story happened a thousand years later."
As Xia finished speaking, she covered her head, unable to accept it.
Tiran, on the other side, was even more shocked by all of this. He also wondered if the god with whom he had made a pact was lying, but he had no power to resist.
All I can do is accept it and pray that one day I can go home.
"We can change all of this, can't we?" Tilan's lips trembled.
Sia shook her head and looked at Elsie, saying, "She brought the future. In this inherited space where our memories intertwine, how can we reverse the facts that have already happened?"
“Oh, I see…” Tilan covered his eyes and said painfully, “I’m not reconciled… The Sanctuary… you motherfucker…”
"I just... want to go home!"
Sia moved closer to Tilan, patted him on the shoulder, and said, "Do you want your juniors to laugh at you?"
"So what? I'm not some hero." Tilan held back her tears. "I'm just an ordinary working person who was brought to a strange world and promised a home by a lie!"
“But…” Sia smiled and looked at Elsie: “She only got here because she heard about your glorious deeds.”
On the other side, Elsie was still in shock, shocked by Sia's appearance, shocked by Sia seeing her memories, and shocked by Tiran's contrast.
“At least, before you knew the truth, you still held onto the belief to fight against the powerful enemy.” Sia hugged Tilan and comforted him: “At least, you killed His first few angels in the fight.”
"You've already resisted, you've done your best. Don't let our story become a disaster for future generations..."
