Chapter 95 The tower assault was too sudden!

“My daughter… Elsie…”

In this desert-like place, where no light shines, the interconnected starry sky stretches for miles like a vine.

Windsor opened her eyes and looked at the familiar yet unfamiliar desert.

The land of Sia's eternal slumber, the land of her pact with Tilan, the non-existent third continent!

This is also a secret that the Shia family is sworn to protect with their lives...

"Am I already dead?" Windsor looked at her illusory hands, which indeed seemed to feel no warmth.

"Hagrid's artifact is still so powerful. If you still possess the artifact, you might have a chance to survive." A familiar voice came from behind Windsor.

She slowly turned her head and saw a long line of people, including adults, children, and the elderly.

Almost all of them had their eyes closed, except... the one in front of them!

“You should know me, Windsor,” the silver-haired woman said with a smile.

“Yes…” Windsor’s eyes were filled with tears: “I attended your funeral.”

"Windssa, are you afraid of death?" The woman shook her head with a bitter smile: "Yes, everyone is afraid of death, including us."

“We who are burdened by the curse always try our best to avoid the light, but Sia lives in the light, and she will never tolerate her people living in darkness.”

"Windesa, you gave up the divine artifact, did you find the inheritor who can tear through the darkness?"

Windsor shook her head: "I don't know..."

"I don't know..." The woman paused, then peeked her head out.

Windsor also looked at what was in front of her...

A little girl stood alone not far away, Elsie Tiran.

Windsor tried to reach out, but she couldn't touch it no matter what she did!

"Alas, once again... darkness..." The silver-haired woman closed her eyes in disappointment, falling into a deep sleep like the wielders of divine artifacts behind her.

...

"Saintess? Easily defeated!" Chenor walked past Windsor's corpse with a disdainful look.

The mercenaries who had been stunned by the power of the artifact got up one after another, their eyes filled with nothing but Windsor's corpse!

"Cut off her head! Today is the day she will be knighted!!!"

The mercenaries rushed forward, but the next moment, a white sword aura slashed from afar, instantly blasting all the mercenaries who tried to approach Windsor's corpse to pieces!

"Enemy attack!"

"Where did it come from!?"

"My legs!!!"

The mercenaries fled from Windsor in panic, and some half-dead men wailed on the battlefield.

"What terrifying power!" Chenor's eyes were filled with admiration, and he immediately knelt down on one knee towards the distant heavy cavalry position.

"Count Allen! The god of the Tilan family!"

The heavy cavalry formation dispersed, and a greatswordsman slowly approached, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous white light. Four fully armed angels, each wielding a silver sword, accompanied him as he advanced.

Allen Tilan!

He wielded a two-handed greatsword, and the white sword energy lingered on it.

“Of course I understand what you mean…” Paul said, holding the holy book and smiling.

"The Lord says, 'Those who desecrate the body of a deceased wife shall be severely punished. The dead are supreme, and praise be to the twenty-four-winged angels!'"

"..." Allen stopped in his tracks, his eyes flashing white as he stared at Paul.

Paul stepped back, smiling, and gestured for Allen to continue.

“Dirty mercenaries…” Allen said slowly, as he moved closer to Windsor’s corpse.

“Despicable assassin…” He looked at the assassin and the Shia family knights who had been captured alive by the soldiers.

“Chenor, a citizen of Hagrid.” Alan’s gaze was drawn to the blue silver shield.

“Exactly! Earl Allen!” Chenor exclaimed excitedly.

"..." Allen glanced at Paul.

Paul said, "We have won! The Shia family is on the verge of collapse!"

"..." Allen stared at Windsor's corpse, and finally he tried to put down the greatsword and touch it with his free hand.

But at that moment, the angels in the sky also drew their swords!

However, Allen failed; he merely watched indifferently as the carrion bird boldly landed and tentatively struck Windsor.

"Bury him!" he said before turning and leaving.

Paul relaxed, and his handprint remained on the sacred text.

It's too difficult to control!

However, after Windsor's death, there was no one left who could redeem Allen; he would become the Lord's spokesperson!

“What about these assassins?” Chenor asked.

The assassin captain stared intently at Allen: "You despicable man, Her Highness—"

Before he could finish speaking, Allen had already stepped on her face, and with the sound of bones cracking, she died in excruciating pain and screams.

He glanced at Chenor and said calmly, "I don't need prisoners... Bury Windsor, kill all... followers."

...

"Arrived at the designated location!"

"Prepare for action..."

Outside the third watchtower, Manlin led his squad to sneak towards the watchtower under the cover of night.

Connor drew his sword and led his squad closer, while Lynn lay prone on the hillside to observe the situation.

At this moment, Manlin continued to use the same tactics as the second watchtower, first getting close to the enemy guards before taking action.

Lynn stared at the guards approaching Manlin. The guards seemed to be saying something to him, then gestured for Manlin to wait where he was while he went to report to the commander.

At that moment, Manlin also put his hands behind his back, making a gesture of preparing to attack.

“Ha…” Lynn sneered: “Like a rat in a cage.”

Connor tightened his grip on the reins, glanced at Lynn, and added, "What's done is done..."

...

Soon, Manlin's soldiers began to approach the entrance, pretending to chat with the other side before decisively drawing their swords from the shadows!

"Hey! What are you doing?!"

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!!"

"Let go! You traitor!"

The number of guards at the entrance was completely insufficient, and most of them were slaughtered in a single encounter.

"Gentlemen, begin the operation!" Connor gave the order, and the soldiers behind him began to jog into the field.

The crossbows captured from the previous watchtowers became the soldiers' weapons, and they worked together to kill deserters along the way.

"Keep pushing! Don't give them a chance to catch their breath!"

"Team one, maintain formation, lower your pace, and begin clearing the checkpoint!"

"receive!"

Manlin wrapped the cloth around his wrist and waved to the woods behind him, indicating that the entrance was completely taken over.

"Sixth Squad, move out!" Lynn gestured. After several previous battles, he had quickly become familiar with the Merchant Alliance's combat methods.

"Enemy attack!"

The crossbow bolts fired accurately killed the panicked sentry guards.

"Attention all personnel! Enemy sighted! Be on alert!!!"

"Suspicious person spotted here! Come quick, help me!!"

Dongshan Hong, who was watching from afar, shook his head: "The commotion is too great."

Yin Lang: "Ah ha? Ah ha!"

“Don’t be an aha monster now.” Trisna removed her helmet, her gray eyes looking at the two of them with a smile.

"Have a safe journey, both of you."

"Thank you for your kind words!" Dongshan Hong nodded and pulled Yin Lang toward the watchtower, but then a question arose.

"Huh? Where's David?"
