Chapter 188 Bella's Plans

"Luo Fan, quickly show me what that is!"

Freya gripped his body and shook him repeatedly, wishing she could dig the stone out of his body.

"Hehe, I secretly got a hovering stone, isn't that amazing? Don't tell anyone!" Luo Fan whispered, glancing at the old headmistress in the distance, afraid of attracting her attention.

Fortunately, Ellie and the others were all gathered over there, so they probably didn't notice, since the hovering stone doesn't have any elemental fluctuations.

"That's it?" Freya's curiosity immediately vanished. This thing was difficult to study, even more troublesome than inscriptions.

"Did you raid someone's house? This thing is only good for building treasure vaults and rings." Kneading Luo Fan's skin and summoning light, she began to study the inscriptions on Luo Fan's skin.

"I wouldn't do something like that. It was just an abandoned treasure vault I found before. But since you're not interested in spatial elements, then forget it. By the way, do you have any records of spatial magic in your family?"

Why are you asking this? Do you even know spatial magic?

"I know a little bit."

Freya immediately stopped her research and looked at him curiously. Was this thing really so intelligent? Was he really a slime? Or was there some terrifying existence hidden inside him?

However, who would be so bored as to possess a slime? It's weak, has no future, and almost no room for growth.

As far as she knew, these low-level magical beasts, due to their inferior quality, would face extremely difficult advancement paths after level 50. Going against the natural order always comes at a great price.

As for transformation, it was just a joke for her. Perhaps what her idol said made sense, but wasn't it too difficult? Angela's little fire bear transformation was much simpler than his.

However, considering his exceptional comprehension and spiritual awareness, it doesn't seem impossible. Besides, he's already level 50 and is skilled at researching inscriptions, so his weaknesses aren't that obvious.

Following him might really be the right decision.

"If you really understand spatial magic, demonstrate it for me!" Freya, having figured it out, winked at him and looked at him with a grin.

"Hmph, do you think you can just demonstrate that? Believe it or not!" Luo Fan suddenly disappeared and returned to Xiao Xue's side.

Freya, who remained where she was, was stunned. She was certain that Luo Fan had not left using the Shadow Jump technique; her divine sense had been deployed just now.

This slime is absolutely terrifying! It's perfect research material. I love it!

Seeing the slime in the snow woman's arms in the distance, Freya quickly followed.

"Once Ellie breaks through to the level of a high-level mage, I'll teach you to sense spatial elements. You won't lose out this time, right?" Luo Fan proposed the terms again, and Freya quickly agreed, afraid that the other party would change his mind.

Having successfully fooled him again, he stayed there for a while before slipping away again.

The focus right now is on Ellie; as for studies, that can wait. After all, teasing that little Bella seems like a fun thing to do.

Near the South City branch, Luo Fan hid in Tifa's shadow, directing her to move around.

"Don't talk to me, so you don't give yourself away. Yes, that's it!" Luo Fan scanned the crowd nearby, quickly located Bella, called her over, and brought her into the guild room.

“The woman in front of you is also my servant. She ostensibly manages the Ice Cream Mercenary Group, but in reality, she obeys my orders.”

Bella looked at Tifa, but still couldn't find any trace of Lofan.

Isn't this big shot being a bit too cautious?

However, she had heard of the Ice Cream Mercenary Group. They were said to be fairly strong, but outwardly they were only a level 4 mercenary group.

Could this big shot be the force behind them? Wouldn't that be terrifying?

"Hello, my name is Bella!"

Tifa nodded slightly, not understanding why Luo Fan was doing this, but still revealed her name.

"Tifa~"

After they finished communicating, Luo Fan began making his own arrangements.

"Bella, since you're good at intelligence gathering, you'll work with Tifa to investigate the power structure in the capital, focusing on the shady underground forces. As for funding, Tifa will handle that; you can find the people yourself."

"From now on, you two can coordinate intelligence sharing; Tifa will keep me informed. I need you to gather some useful intelligence as soon as possible to prove your worth!"

“There are quite a few demons hiding in the shadows in the capital,” Luo Fan added.

"I know a little about that. But can I really build my own team?" Bella looked at Tifa curiously. Could it be that the Ice Cream Mercenary Group also operates on this model?

"Of course, I trust those I employ and I don't employ those I don't trust. Anyway, you're just a dispensable pawn right now. When you can prove yourself, I'll help you continue to improve your skills."

"Perhaps by then, you will have the power to take revenge yourself. Take this magic bag; it contains start-up capital and two special Shadow Crocodile eggs. You should know their value."

Bella took the magic bag from Tifa and glanced at it curiously, then was immediately stunned. The two monster eggs were quite conspicuous, much larger than those on the market, and wrapped in some kind of precious monster pelt.

"My lady, are you really willing to give these to me?" Bella looked at Tifa with trembling little hands. These things were just too precious!

Such a high-quality monster egg is priceless and unavailable, especially since it is of the dark element, making it perfect for assassins.

"Of course, I won't mistreat my subordinates. The stronger you are, the happier I am. Also, I won't interfere with how you train your team. I only have one condition: they must be loyal to you! And you can only be loyal to me!"

"Okay, I guarantee I'll complete the mission!" Bella was suddenly very moved to have such a master who valued her so much.

What assassins fear most is distrust from above and betrayal from below. Yet, a master they've never even met has directly entrusted them with the power to employ people. Just how confident must an assassin be?

Following him seems like a win-win situation! Compared to the woman in front of me, I'm not bad looking either, and maybe I'll have a chance to meet the real him in the future.

"You guys figure out what to do next yourselves. I'm leaving now!"

Once again, he vanished without a trace. Bella's face was filled with adoration; this was the ultimate goal she had always strived for. Appearing without a trace, disappearing without a trace!

After the two girls briefly discussed their upcoming plans and gave her a wind-type martial arts manual, Tifa left the room and took Luo Fan to buy a lot of things at the guild before finally returning to the legion's base.

"Luo Fan, are you going to build an assassin faction? Is that girl reliable? She looks so ordinary!"

"It's better if she's ordinary. I still have faith in her abilities. Just cooperate with her for now. Don't tell anyone else yet; I'm worried about being exposed. Besides, I'm not even sure if it will succeed!"

"I know. What about the new recruits in the troupe? We can't just keep them on board forever!"

"You mean those women from the hot spring town?"

"Yes, they are all quite capable, have strong willpower, can endure hardship, and like the atmosphere in the group."

"Don't they have a base in the hot spring town? Let them go there for training. Angela will be in charge, and Emil will assist them."

"Angela? That little girl has a bit of a temper, can she be managed?"

"Trust her, she'll definitely get along with the other members. She's been working incredibly hard during this training period."

"Oh, okay. With Emil gone, the group has become quite lax."

"It's alright, just keep up with your daily training and missions. You can keep these things for yourself, but you can't let your skills decline."

"Okay, I understand."

Luo Fan pinched Tifa's cheek to encourage her before leaving.

Unbeknownst to him, Tifa stared at the spot where he had disappeared for a long time, seemingly missing their brief encounter.

After a long while, some group members came to find her, and she finally snapped out of her daze and became busy again.
