Chapter 21 Conditions for Transformation

As the days went by, and many second-year students went into the dungeon for training, the cleaning work of the library was handed over to Airi.

The library at Sacred Heart Academy has several floors. The first floor mainly contains various books on sights and sounds, first and second-tier magic books, and basic monster knowledge. The floors above the second floor are much richer, containing books on magic circles, alchemy, high-level magic books, secrets, and other more advanced texts.

Each level requires corresponding permissions. Mages with low levels are easily influenced by the knowledge in the book, but there is no such restriction for magical pets.

After all, what pet would come over to read a book?

It was cleaning time again, and Luo Fan was taken up to the third floor by the administrator to begin his work for the day.

"Something feels off," Luo Fan thought as he swept the floor, sensing that people were whispering around him.

"Why is there so much dust under the cabinet? Who cleaned it before?"

Following Ellie's instructions, Luo Fan diligently cleaned the room and suddenly discovered a book at the very bottom. He wondered who had hidden it there.

"On the Growth and Transformation of Monsters? Anonymous." He cautiously looked around; no one else was there. Should he take a look?

Quickly flipping through the books, Luo Fan finally found records related to the transformation of demons, and there were quite a few conditions involved.

First, only legendary quality magical beasts of advanced level or above can transform; and the materials required for different magical beasts are not the same, anyway, Luo Fan had never heard of their names; finally, they must face the baptism of the transformation tribulation in order to complete the final transformation.

What does the Dark element need?

A legendary dark magic core? Are you kidding me?

The Heart of a Dragon? Is the author just making this up? Where can you even get that thing?!

The Fountain of Life? He seemed to have heard of it before; he remembered that the Elf Forest might have it.

"Is it possible that I need the help of a Dark Saint Archmage?" Luo Fan suddenly thought of that old witch from before.

Could she be a Saint Archmage? He glanced around again; no one was there. Thank goodness, Luo Fan breathed a sigh of relief.

If she finds out, I'm probably going to lose my life!

He glanced at the other systems, still not satisfied, and they were all pretty much the same. So, this thing must have been written by some scoundrel of a magician.

When I saw a sentence in the general outline, I felt that it made some sense.

"Based on the Demon Core, powered by the Dragon Heart, and fused with the Spring of Life, then reorganized and reconstructed by external forces, and transformed by the power of calamity, in order to achieve the purpose of transformation and reconstruction."

Luo Fan sighed, decisively put the book back in its place, and looked resentful.

Why is it so difficult to transform into human form? He remembered that in his previous life, the Demon King had simply swallowed a body and achieved his goal of transformation. But the Demon King was a Demon King, and he was just a magical beast; there was no comparison.

Being a slime is nice, you get to meet different girls every day. But if you could transform, who would want to stay in this form forever?

If all those girls find their sweethearts by then, what will I do?

In an instant, Luo Fan panicked, beginning to assess the situation for the first time. The constant buzzing around him was incredibly annoying!

"Shut up, all of you!"

The world went silent for a moment!

"That's more like it!"

"Huh, maybe I've awakened a new skill? My head's a little dizzy though. I'd better finish this quickly and get out of here!"

Once again transforming into a multi-core vacuum cleaner, Luo Fan quickly returned to the first floor and jumped into Ai Li's arms.

"Ellie, please don't leave me."

"What's wrong with you? Why are you saying this out of the blue? You are my contracted pet. As long as the contract isn't broken, we'll stay together forever."

"Then please don't terminate the contract in the future, okay?"

"How could that be? You're my partner!"

"No, I don't want to be your partner, I want to be your... Ah, Ellie, don't pull on my body!"

"You don't want to be my partner? What do you want to do? Try to rebel?" Ellie thought something was wrong with this guy, but it turned out he wanted to quit. How could she tolerate that!

"No, stop! Oh my god, why are you using magic?!" Feeling the negative effects on him, Luo Fan was on the verge of tears.

"Let's see you try to rebel! Let's see you try to rebel!" Then another restraint was applied, pinning Luo Fan to the table.

"Ellie, no! Let me finish!"

"You can't say anything nice, I'm not listening, I'm not listening!"

"I want to be with you forever, but the conditions for transforming into human form are just too harsh!" Finally mustering his courage, Luo Fan shouted out.

"This...really? You didn't want to leave me?"

"Why would I leave you for no reason? I like you so much."

"Okay, I'll forgive you for now! But if you do this again, I'll lock you up!"

"Waaah~, how could you do this? Ellie, you've been corrupted by Anna!"

"Hmph, let's go home!" After dispelling the magic on Luo Fan, Ellie happily ran home.

Looking at the familiar Adventurers' Guild, Luo Fan was still somewhat dazed.

Since his last act of self-reflection, he realized he couldn't continue like this. Having recently consumed quite a few magic cores, his level has finally reached 23, temporarily matching Xiaoxue's.

Ellie's level has also increased significantly; she is now a Level 4 Novice Mage, which is higher than Daisy's.

My master is indeed very powerful; the time to enter the dungeon is not far off.

Thanks to Ellie and his tireless efforts, Joanna finally got together with Joseph. Now she is the guild master's secretary, assisting with guild affairs.

Ellie was officially promoted and took over Anna's previous counter, but not many adventurers came here to do business.

"Sigh, I have this feeling that I've tried to steal a chicken but ended up losing the rice instead." Watching a young man trying to attract his girl, Luo Fan was a little annoyed and idly flipped through the adventurer's handbook.

In the past month, he has read a lot of things, such as Dungeon Guide, Goblin Handbook, Monster Weakness Guide, and even a guide to mascot girls, the untold story of the Water Witch, and a guide to evaluating prostitute girls.

Before long, Ellie got rid of the man; she didn't want to see her pet throw another tantrum.

Last time, Luo Fan beat up a guy who tried to take advantage of her, then melted his clothes and threw him out of the guild hall.

"Oh, Sister Emil, what brings you here?"

"It's all because of my stinky old man, who insisted on making me go to the dungeon for training. So, I'm just here to register and get by."

"Brother Fan, it's been a long time!" Huo Yu flew over and sat directly on his head.

"Hello, Sister Huoyu! Let's read a book together!"

"Mmm~"

“Oh, okay, here’s the registration form.” Ellie pulled out a form and handed it over.

"Ellie, when you reach level 6, shall we go to the dungeon together? I don't want to go with those guards!"

"No problem, we'll add Daisy too."

"Hmm, let's form an adventure team! I'll find a martial artist to join us, and with my sister, this lineup will be perfect!"

"What do you need a martial arts master for? I can be a tank. You ignorant woman!" Luo Fan couldn't help but complain.

"Brother Fan, what's a tank?"

"He's the one who stands in front and gets beaten up!"

"I don't want my brother to be a tank. If anyone bullies you, I'll burn them alive!"

"Mmm, Rainie is the best!"

Ellie ignored her pet and chatted with her senior.

"It will take quite a while before we reach level 6. What are you planning to do during this time, sister?"

"Keep training Fire Rain! Those fire-type memory crystals are so scarce and expensive, it's really annoying!"

Memory crystals have the potential to help magical pets learn new skills. The higher the magic rank, the more expensive they are, and success is not guaranteed. They are definitely money-burning machines.

Ellie had Luo Fan try it a few times, always with the cheapest first-tier shadow spell, but it failed every time, so she gave up completely.

It would be better to buy some monster blood, which would strengthen his body and wouldn't be a waste of money.

"Oh no, sister, my pet can't learn any magic skills at all, what should I do?"

"It's okay, we can just let it play with our pets."

Oh no, I've been looked down upon! I'm really strong, you know! Luo Fan looked at the well-developed girl and still chose to forgive her.

Who told you to be Fire Rain Sister's master!
