Having figured out the specific strategy, Luo Fan's clone continued to move around, leading the Insect King in circles, since neither could do anything to the other.
Luo Fan's body was too small. If he weren't not a spatial attribute user and had a very obvious aura, his opponent wouldn't have been able to find his location at all.
After the crystal core became fluid, his body became more and more agile, and he even took out a lot of dark materials to disguise his presence.
Sure enough, after a series of bizarre maneuvers, the dark elements in this space increased, and Luo Fan's current movements became increasingly unpredictable.
As he cautiously approached the insect king, it unexpectedly spun a large cocoon with its binding silk, which could actively repel the invasion of other elements. Moreover, the dark element he had just brought out showed signs of being absorbed by the silk.
That insect king actually has such methods; no wonder the tree spirits dared not invade.
The Beast King stopped attacking, presumably waiting. The Insect King continued to spin silk, trying its best to restrict Luo Fan's position, and the battle reached a stalemate.
Having confirmed the speed at which the elements disappeared, Luo Fan started causing trouble again, detonating several fire scrolls while his clones simultaneously broke through the cocoon.
Space against space, Luo Fan's hovering stone is much harder than this thing. It's essentially a collision of spatial fragments, and he's not afraid of these fragile spatial fragments at all.
Upon seeing the Sky-Soaring Stone, Luo Fan sensed that the Beast King was attempting to establish a connection with him, and he readily agreed.
Taking advantage of the brief moment when they seemed to be communicating, Luo Fan appeared in front of the somewhat sluggish Insect King. The Sky Stone ripped open its body, found a magic core inside, quickly swallowed it, and then disappeared in front of the Beast King.
"Shameless!"
Sensing the other party's emotions, Luo Fan decisively began peeling away the inscriptions. What a shameless charlatan! This is called a sneak attack! How could these foolish magical beasts possibly understand human intelligence?!
The inscription vanished into thin air, and the demonic core on Luo Fan's body was unable to absorb it, causing this special energy to drift freely within his body.
Oh no, the magic core won't work. Do I have to find another vessel? Or do I have to condense my own spatial magic core again?
But it's too late now, and those worms don't have any blood in their bodies. Relying on this beast king alone is definitely not going to work, and I can't catch it right now.
After thinking for a moment, and considering the inscription of time, Luo Fan finally decided to give it a try. Using time to contain space should be fine, right?
The divine senses gathered together and slowly guided the time inscription into the divine senses. However, the time inscription did not accept it. Instead, it generated a parallel space inscription that began to spread and expand on the other side.
So that's how it is. Time and space cannot completely merge; they are inherently intertwined.
Having figured these things out, Luo Fan's understanding of space was several times stronger than before. Imprinting spatial runes onto the magic core would be a real waste; no wonder the Insect King's escape speed was significantly slower than that of the Beast King.
He could directly activate his divine sense, but mobilizing the magic core would take time. Now he could catch up with that guy.
Looking at the space again, Luo Fan quickly found the location of the Void Devouring Beast, which was rapidly moving and constantly stirring up even stronger spatial storms.
"Little Beast King, it feels good to be teased by me, doesn't it!" Upon contacting its divine sense, Luo Fan began to traverse this space, tracking its location.
"Damn it! Hand over that stone and get out of here!"
An overwhelming pressure enveloped most of the space, even manipulating the fragmented spatial structures to form a massive vortex. Based on Luo Fan's previous actions, it had realized that its opponent's use of spatial elements was far more advanced than its own.
If it obtains such a large piece of the Void Stone, it is confident that it can break through its current realm and create its own unique space.
"Heh, you really are an idiot! Fine, I'm not playing with you anymore, I've already found you!"
The two appeared simultaneously in a fragment of space, and the Beast King immediately sensed impending danger. How did this thing end up in this flat space with it?!
Impossible. He couldn't possibly have grasped the mysteries of space so quickly; that's a privilege reserved for us Void Devouring Beasts.
Impossible, absolutely impossible!
It changed positions again, and that bastard appeared right next to it, scaring it so much that its hair stood on end.
"Impossible, how...how...could...be...so...fast..." It felt as if its time had been stretched out, and just as it was about to continue its escape, the hovering stone had already slashed at it countless times.
How could he be so fast!
The Beast King's body slowly detached from that space, and Luo Fan found a magic core—a space-type core—with inscriptions on it. Unfortunately, he couldn't capture its divine sense; the elven gem had lost its effect in this area.
Luo Fan activated his divine sense to its fullest extent and discovered that it had been swallowed up by the churning vortex below and had vanished without a trace. Without a physical body, divine sense cannot remain for long, unless one becomes a god. Given that idiot's intelligence, that's probably impossible.
Upon absorbing the inscriptions from the demon core again, it still failed to escape, just like the Insect King's incomplete inscription. Luo Fan estimated that a portion of the inscriptions should still exist within its divine sense.
After collecting the spoils, I fled to the vicinity of the vortex. The beast king's spiritual aura had completely dissipated and was destroyed and absorbed by the spatial vortex.
We still lack a way to deal with divine senses; this kind of battle is such a waste! Luo Fan sighed. He would have to ask the tree spirit for advice after he got out; it should have a similar method.
Having found the exit point and sensing the response from his clone on the other side, Luo Fan directly cut open the not-so-secure crack and slipped back.
It was still the same Spider Cave. The worms didn't die because of the death of the Insect King; they just lost their previous discipline.
Luo Fan's clone appeared directly next to these things and began a massive harvest, leaving only empty shells behind.
Finally, looking at the crack he had torn open, Luo Fan thought for a moment, then took out the spatial magic core and completely repaired those areas.
If any spatial magical beasts were to be born inside, even those that haven't reached his current level wouldn't be able to break through the spatial barrier he set up.
The task assigned by the tree spirit has finally been completed. Next, it's time to go and check out the Elf Forest.
Back with Ellie and the others, the girls were all studying the worms on the ground. Even Xuanwu's two heads, like Little Grey's, were chewing on something.
Luo Fan glanced at them and saw that they were all corpses of worms. He hadn't expected them to have such a hobby.
"All done?" Ellie asked simply when she saw him appear. She trusted Luo Fan completely and wasn't worried about any accidents. After all, his clone was still refining the magic core in the pet space.
"Hmm, we took down two big guys. The Tree Spirit should be able to handle the rest of the trouble on its own."
"That's good." After saying that, he started fiddling with the worm in his hand again, which looked quite out of place.
"Have you figured anything out?"
“This insect’s skin is incredibly elastic and extremely tough; we’ve tried many methods but haven’t been able to break it,” Caitlin explained.
"Little Grey is using this thing to grind its teeth!" Ahri also picked one up and fiddled with it, inadvertently betraying Earth Bear.
"If this thing could be cut out, it could probably be used to make top-quality armor." Freya leaned closer. "Lofan, you should know how to cut it, right?"
Luo Fan tried it and cut a worm in half cleanly and neatly.
"How did you do that? I couldn't cut it even with that special dagger! Teach me!"
Seeing the girls gather around, Luo Fan suddenly felt a sense of superiority. Only Xiao Ling'er was secretly smiling beside him, probably sensing his inner turmoil.
"Don't worry, you can put these things away for now. I'll teach you how to cut them after we get out!"
The hovering stone can be used like this? Not bad at all!
