Chapter 6 The Beginning of Civilization

You can just buy the potion; the main ingredient is fish.

Ron and Vivian made a simple fishing rod together and went fishing.

In this other world, I went fishing with Vivian for the first time, and together we turned over rocks to find fish bait. It felt like I was back in my childhood in my previous life.

When I was a kid, I used to play in the water when I was a bit wild, but now that I'm an aristocrat, I'll just stick to fishing.

And you know what? There are so many fish in this naturally unpolluted river.

Vivian, with the same small fishing rod, experienced the joy of a successful catch.

"Young master, another one, another one."

"Hmm, that's about it."

After a long while, the group returned.

Sprinkle the purchased herbs into the fish soup. The magical plants themselves contain a small amount of natural elements. Unlike magical beast meat, ordinary fish mixed with magical plants, could it give the fish meat the effects of magical beast meat?

Everything remains to be seen. Anyway, I'm just idling around. I've never had a meal with magic potion seasoning in all these years. I knew about using medicinal herbs in dishes in my past life, so there's no reason I can't do it in this one.

Light the fire, boil, stew, and wait.

rise!

It has a pleasant aroma.

Remembering my promise to my mother, I decided to let the free-range chicken try the first bowl.

It feels like a long time has passed, and apart from being a bit more energetic, the chicken seems to be doing fine.

Ron took the plunge and ate it, since the medicine was not poisonous anyway.

Why not eat it?

tasty!

Unlike the many failures during the first attempt at preparing potions, this time the first potion feast was a great success.

The magical civilization of another world has finally introduced a new profession: Master of Magical Food!

A talent who specializes in making magical feasts!

Ron doesn't really have the awareness to invent a new profession yet; he just feels that he has accomplished a small thing while he was idle.

I felt a little sense of accomplishment.

On the mainland, some people accidentally made potion dishes, but they didn't continue. Only by making more and more of them, to the point of publishing books, and teaching people how to use potions to make dishes, can an elemental profession truly flourish.

And that's what Ron did when he was free.

This holiday they went fishing, next holiday they won't let the security guard help them, the two little guys will catch chickens themselves.

Next time, I'll steal bird eggs.

Without online entertainment, I really have to entertain myself, and I'm making more and more different kinds of dishes.

Vivian, who aspires to be a maid, is very attentive to her meals. Ron, a lazy man, devotes himself to teaching her, and Vivian usually does the cooking while Ron prepares the ingredients.

Because of this, Vivian, who originally had little interest in potions, gradually began to study potions in depth.

"Prepare an even better potion feast for the young master!"

"Very good, a good ambition."

"..."

Now, instead of secretly saying that Ron lacked a childhood, his mother and father constantly remind him that when the potion feast is made, his chickens must try it first.

He readily agreed.

After the incident involving free-range chickens, nowadays a dish is usually named only after the chickens have recovered within three days.

Borg's father felt that this was a good thing to increase the territory's income.

But just like that, one night, Ron personally found Borg's father.

The moon hung high in the sky, and Ron's small figure knocked on the door.

Ding ding…

The door opened.

"Little Ron, it's rare for you to come to your father on your own initiative. Tell me, is it because you don't have enough magic crystals for your allowance?"

"No, let's go inside and talk!"

"Okay, come in."

The two, one large and one small, sat down on either side of a magic lamp, beneath which was a small table and two chairs.

The magic lamp shone brightly, indicating that Father had indeed been in a good mood lately. If he could earn magic crystals and solve problems with magic crystals, then they weren't really problems.

Magic crystals are a universal equivalent in other worlds. Magic crystal mines exist in magical worlds, and the quantity of magic crystals is astonishing, with a wide range of uses.

When magic crystals are left unused, they will naturally attract external elements. Since the attraction flow is slow, it is generally negligible. However, the used magic crystals themselves are still useful, so they are used for trading.

Accumulated magic crystals are not used; after more than a hundred years, new magic crystals will appear.

One mid-tier magic crystal is equal to one hundred low-tier magic crystals, and one high-tier magic crystal is equal to one hundred mid-tier magic crystals. Top-tier magic crystals are extremely rare and valuable, as they are magical materials themselves. They are generally traded as barter, but if you insist on exchanging them for magic crystals, the price must be negotiated between the two parties.

Magic crystals are mostly bulky and inconvenient to carry, hence the existence of magic crystal cards, a product of magical civilization.

After tasting the magic potion feast, Borg's eyes were filled with magic crystals.

The two sat facing each other. Ron, looking at his father, said, “I’m worried that the Potions Feast might cause trouble, given the level of strength required and the amount of magic crystals it should be equipped with. Don’t we have some powerful nobles we’re on good terms with? We can exchange Potions Feast books for some benefits. It’s enough that we’re one of the origins of Potions Feast.”

Borg looked at Ron in surprise, as if he were seeing his son for the first time, wondering what kind of wealth he deserved given his abilities!

This is a principle that Borg only gradually came to understand as he grew older…

Why did Ron say that so easily?

Regardless of his father's expression, Ron had to say something; after all, his precocious behavior wasn't new.

"The magic potion feast will inevitably become widespread sooner or later. We were just lucky to be the first to compile it into a book. Now the magical world is showing signs of even greater prosperity... Anyway, to prevent the trouble of piracy and the difficulty of promotion, cooperating with others is our first choice."

Borg really doesn't understand Ron anymore.

"Son, what are you talking about, piracy, promotion..." (?_??)

"These things, a traveling merchant told my son about them a few days ago. In short, they're pirated..."

Ron spent a lot of time and effort explaining.

At the same time, his father's vision broadened exponentially, and Ron II's wisdom allowed him to easily see many things.

If you lack the strength, it's best to be a rural nobleman. However, your territory can't remain impoverished forever, so cooperation and risk-sharing are a good solution.

Borg's mouth opened slightly, finally understanding. He asked at the end, "That traveling merchant, little Ron, did you keep him?"
