Chapter 195 Leisurely Life in the Tribe (Part 1)

Rescuing children, extinguishing fires, and stepping forward when the orc tribe was in crisis—that's why I became a true hero.

Although I felt the title of hero was somewhat out of place for me, I felt it was good to be invited by the village chief, so I chose to stay in the tribe for three days during the rainy season.

It's worth mentioning that Gulvig and Rutlanca finally apologized to me at this point.

After all, it was against the instructions of the white-bearded grandfather that I was stripped naked, locked in a cell, splashed with cold water, and humiliated with vulgar language.

When they received the hero's crown for saving the orc tribe, they also formally apologized.

However, he raised both hands above his head, stretched his ears long, and then bowed halfway to apologize to me, while his tiger-like tail wagged back and forth.

"Found it! The Albadian gesture of asking someone for a favor!"

So they originated from the orc race!

I don't know why, but facing this strange posture, I have an indescribable feeling. Rutlana is alright, after all, this pose allows one to gaze into some kind of bottomless abyss, but Gulveg...

Uh... it's a long story.

In short, I've already forgiven Rutlanca, and as for Gulvig, I'll forgive him too, even though he's the guy who locked me up. I can't say I hate him.

After all, at this moment, I am the god Leon Cabadorn! I am a god!

Finally, as I used magic to launch fireworks into the sky, the entire tribe cheered and raised their glasses in salute to me.

Friendly reminder: Fireworks are strictly prohibited in the forest, so the fireworks I launched into the sky were not fire magic, but compressed water bullets that flew high into the air and then exploded, serving as fireworks for now.

In short, it's also a way to prepare for the upcoming rainy season.

For the orcs, this is their favorite season, since they can stay at home and play the role of a shut-in. Who wouldn't want to stay at home and sleep all day? They are probably just that kind of guy.

Since I'm not old enough to drink alcohol, and there aren't any low-alcohol beverages like hot beer, I'll just use fruit juice instead. Like in the guild, I'll raise my glass and gulp it down as a sign of my agreement.

Oh! I almost forgot!

As for Basaka, who also helped me rescue children, put out fires, and stand up for the orc tribe when it was in crisis!

He was clearly just someone who stayed at the very back the whole time!

But he received the same treatment as me. He was discovered by the white-bearded grandfather on his way back and was then thrown into jail again as an accomplice of the kidnapper.

Thanks to some of the soldiers who remembered that he was with me, Basaka was spared from imprisonment. However, the free apartment wasn't too bad; at least it allowed him to experience the role of a senior.

~~~
So, let me tell you about my leisurely three days in the orc tribe and what interesting things happened.
First of all, since the orc tribes haven't built any special places for guests to rest—after all, anyone who recklessly wanders into the rainforest and gets lost will be locked up in a free apartment—Basaka and I are currently staying at Gulvig's house.
His house was built on a big tree, in a relatively central location in the tribe, and was not affected by the fire. It was one of the larger houses in the entire tribe.
What surprised me was that Gulvig was actually the offspring of the white-bearded grandfather, and Hela, whom I met before, was one of Gulvig's wives. He was the kind of hateful guy who had three wives.
Excluding Hela, who was killed by that man, there were seven people staying at the Gulvig's house.
Grandpa with the white beard, Gulvig, me and Basaka, along with his two wives and a young son. I heard that Gulvig also has an eldest daughter who is apparently studying at an academy far away from "Dororo," so she rarely comes home.
However, even with three wives, Gulvig only has two children, which makes me wonder if he's lacking in some way. Normally, having three wives should mean a house full of children and grandchildren.
Dinner was cooked by Gulvig's first wife, a large-breasted orc with huge breasts. Come to think of it, it seems that all three of his wives have this distinctive feature. Was he specifically targeting her?
In this respect, Gulveg is a guy who shares my interests, which somewhat redeemed his first impression of me.
Dinner was lavish, after all, it was a rare occasion for guests to visit, especially since they were the great heroes who had saved the entire tribe, which is why Gulvig and Basaka got so drunk.
I still used juice instead. It's clear that the orcs are also a race that likes to drink alcohol. So, in this kind of occasion, even the women will drink strong liquor in big gulps, and they have a high alcohol tolerance.
However... excessive drinking is not a good thing either. For example, the strange noises in Gulveg's room right now are making it hard for me to fall asleep.
Judging from his voice, Gulvig doesn't seem like the kind of man who's lacking in any area, but he has very few children. He must have taken some kind of protective measures very well. It's really suspicious.
"..."
Presumably because he still had two wives left, and after taking care of one, he still had to take care of the other, their battle lasted until very late before finally stopping. It was only then that his ears finally quieted down, and he was able to drift off to sleep.
~~~

The next day, I wandered around the tribe. I had already mentioned asking the white-bearded grandpa for some strong liquor. I guess because I'm a hero, I need some time to prepare it, the so-called purest and most delicious premium liquor.

In short, since I've agreed to stay in the tribe for a few days, there's no rush. So when I have free time, I'll wander around the tribe.

The tribe's territory is vast; according to the division of areas, it's estimated that half of the rainforest belongs to them. That's probably why Basaka got lost in the rainforest and was captured, since he had already entered the tribe's territory.

Along the way, most of the orcs were rescuing their homes and bridges affected by the fire. Although they are orcs, they are actually a group of people who live in the trees.

"Hey! Great hero! Can you do me a favor?"

"Here... I'm sorry, but could you please use magic to clean me up?"

"Um... big brother, my kite got caught in the tree."

"Thank you so much! But... could you please deliver this to the village chief's house for me?"

"..."

Before I knew it, the day had passed. I lay exhausted on the bed. Although I was called a great hero, I had actually been running around all day helping out.

"I thought they would gratefully invite me to their home... or do something unspeakable..."

Did the so-called great hero end up just becoming a go-between?

The so-called errand-running marvel: Leon Cabdeon.

Although I will receive thanks later, it was really exhausting.

"I'll just stay home tomorrow."

Gulveg spent the whole day helping rebuild the tribe, but he was completely different from me. He seemed to have inexhaustible energy and was currently enjoying the pleasure brought by his two wives.

I fall asleep while giving the middle finger, but it's a sweet dream nonetheless.

Because I deal with orcs every day, she sometimes appears in my dreams...

Lilith...no...um...
