Chapter 120 Journey to Robebia

When I opened my eyes, I didn't see a monochrome ceiling like in a hotel. Instead, it was decorated with exquisite patterns, suggesting that this was the place where guests stayed at the Duke of Albad's residence.

The room wasn't large, and it was simply furnished. A portrait of a knight hung on the wall, and there was a soft blanket underneath, but even so, it exuded luxury.

"Hmm... what's going on..."

I sat up and rubbed my head. Although I had witnessed the disaster with my own eyes, my memory was now blurry, but that was all unimportant.

"The God of Man" told me about the Seg couple, Anna, and Sylvie; it's so good that they're all safe and sound.

The only thing missing now is clues about them. According to the advice of the "human god", only one of them was transferred to "Robertia". I don't know which one it is, but I must act immediately.

After getting out of bed, I went out of the room and heard a noisy commotion outside, as if people were arguing.

"How dare you talk to me like that!"

A rude and angry voice echoed throughout the entire mansion; I can't think of anyone else but the master who could have such a voice.

"Father! Please forgive Miss Lilith! No one could have predicted this would happen!"

"It seems to be over in the meeting room?"

Following the sound, it was a room with the door open, the same reception room I had visited twice before.

"What are you planning to do, you little orc girl?!"

"I'm sorry... but please allow me to leave for a while!"

"What's all the commotion about?"

In my memory, the old man's volume was always under control, so what could have made him so angry?

Upon entering the room, the patriarch was glaring angrily at Lilith, who had likely said something to displease him again.

"that……"

Faced with this situation, I really don't know what to say. It would seem very impolite to interfere halfway through, especially since I don't know the whole story.

"Leon! You're awake! Just in time! This orc girl is actually planning to go on strike and head to Klins Town! It's utterly absurd!"

"Um……"

So, Lilith was doing this because of me.

However, judging from the old man's tone, it seems he doesn't know that Collins Town is my hometown, so he's not understanding of Lilith's sudden strike, which is why the argument broke out.

"Leon! Are you alright...?"

Lilith is still the same; she's always worried about me.

“Sir… Collins Town… is… my hometown…”

No one wants to admit that such a calamity has occurred, including myself.

But I know that's the truth, an unchangeable truth.

"Hmm? Is that so, Cecil!"

Upon hearing my explanation, the lord was taken aback. It seemed that he truly did not know that Collins was my hometown. He then turned to ask Duke Albade.

"Indeed, Father!"

"If that's the case! Why didn't you tell me sooner!"

The lord crossed his arms, clearly placing all the blame on Duke Albad, after all, the lord was the kind of person who would never admit his mistakes.

"Hmph! Since that's how it is! Then I'll allow it! Little orc girl!"

After uttering those words, the old man remained as boisterous as ever, and then strode out of the reception room.

With his presence, the atmosphere in the reception room finally cooled down, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Facing the lord was truly like facing a powder keg.

"Leon! I know you're in pain right now, but you have to pull yourself together! Only then can you calmly and rationally deal with anything! Acting impulsively won't solve anything."

Duke Albayd came up, patted me on the shoulder, said those words, and left the reception room.

However, it was Duke Albad's words that truly woke me up. What's done is done, and there's no use in being anxious.

The calamity cannot be changed by me alone; only by keeping my mind clear can I cope with any unexpected events that may occur.

Therefore, I plan to follow the advice of the "God of Man" and go to "Robobia" to find my family who were transferred. This is my duty as the eldest son of the Cabin family!

"Sylvie! Mr. and Mrs. Seger! Anna! Wait for me! I'm coming!"

I gripped the necklace. Now was not the time to be down. Now that I knew my family was safe and sound, I should pull myself together and reunite them.

"Lilith! Thank you!"

I didn't originally intend to involve Lilith, but I knew that even if I left without saying goodbye again, she would still be able to find me. That's Lilith, the orc girl who treated me like a younger brother.

"It's so good to see you cheer up."

I'm sorry I made you worry!

After leaving the Duke of Albad's mansion, I found the carriage to "Robebia" and, after some negotiation, finally settled on a price of 20 copper coins.
