bomber and friends
A crowd of onlookers gathered outside the building. They didn't know what was happening inside, but their curiosity was piqued when they saw the police cordoning off the area and even the fire department arriving.
A cacophony of voices erupted from the crowd, spouting all sorts of nonsensical gossip, a chaotic mix of opinions that seemed to conjure up a grotesque mess.
A man, bundled up in a black baseball cap, stood outside the crowd, listening to all sorts of unrealistic speculations. Suddenly, a smile crept up his lips beneath the black mask, and a pair of eyes hidden under the brim of his cap gleamed fiercely.
He glanced down at his watch, then reached into his pocket and pulled out a black remote control with two buttons, one red and one white.
The man looked up at the upper floors of the building, then his gaze fell on a few police officers standing at the bottom of the steps inside the cordon. His gaze paused for two seconds when he saw the protective suits they were wearing.
He chuckled, pressed the red button without hesitation, and then waited for the result with a relaxed and carefree attitude.
But the next second, Tsurumi Kawakami, who had been standing to his right and staring at the man, suddenly pounced on him, kneeing him in the back and grabbing his arm to slam him to the ground.
Ignoring the man's cries of pain, Tsurumi Kawa reached for the man's right hand and snatched the remote control. Looking at the two buttons, his powerful intuition kicked in, and he snapped the white button.
It seemed as if something had come to an abrupt end in that instant.
The wind, the gossip around us, and even the air itself seemed to freeze for a second.
It wasn't until a long ringing sound came from my cochlea, like a bang, as if some invisible barrier had been shattered, that the chaotic sounds around me finally reached my ears.
His heart was pounding inexplicably in his chest, thumping as if it were right next to his ears. Tsurumi Kawaru snapped out of his daze of that strange feeling. The crowd had parted to make way for him, and several policemen were walking over, having removed the police tape.
The policeman at the front, wearing sunglasses and with slightly curly hair, was someone Tsurumi Kawakami recognized; they had just seen each other in the building.
Matsuda Jinpei was holding his phone; the screen was lit up, indicating he was still on a call.
But just seconds before, the voice on the other end of the phone made him uneasy. Just as Matsuda Jinpei was hesitating whether to rush into the building, several exclamations and screams came from the crowd behind him.
He and his colleague turned around and saw that a path had been cleared in the crowd, leading to the golden-eyed boy they had just seen in the building and a man pinned down by him.
Matsuda Jinpei paused for a second, then quickly reacted, grabbing his still-connected phone and running over.
Tsurumi Kawakami maintained his suppressive posture until a pair of black leather shoes appeared before him. He looked up and handed over the remote control in his hand: "He is the bomber."
As he spoke, Tsurumi Kawakami forcefully grabbed the man's right hand, revealing the obvious white scar on the back of his right hand, and handed the evidence to Matsuda Jinpei.
As a professional bomb disposal officer, Matsuda Jinpei recognized what the remote control was almost instantly upon seeing it.
Then, Matsuda Jinpei recalled the last words his friend Kenji had said on the phone and immediately understood what had happened in the building.
He punched the man in the cheekbone, making him cry out in pain, then looked up at Tsurumi Kawaru, his eyes behind his sunglasses glistening with tears, and said sincerely and solemnly, "Thank you."
Tsurumi Kawakami paused for a second, handed the bomber over to the police, and scratched his cheek somewhat embarrassedly: "You're welcome, I didn't really help much."
Matsuda Jinpei let out a breath and patted him on the shoulder: "Yes, I'll thank you when I finish my second year of graduate school."
The other police officers nearby also realized what was happening and immediately changed their attitude towards the man. One of them took out handcuffs, cuffed him, and led him toward the police car.

Inside the building at this moment.
Kenji Hagiwara stared at the time bomb in the corridor, his emotions still fluctuating. Startled, he watched as the bomb, which was about to explode in two seconds, suddenly stopped, leaving him somewhat at a loss.
He called over a few other colleagues, put on protective suits, and carefully stepped forward. It took him some effort to remove the timer device. Only after it was gone did Kenji Hagiwara finally breathe a sigh of relief.
He waved for the others to put the bomb into a specific box and take it back to the Metropolitan Police Department for disposal, then picked up the cell phone that had fallen to the ground; the screen showed that the call had ended.
Kenji Hagiwara called back, and the phone was answered after ringing twice. Before he could speak, Jinpei Matsuda gave him the good news, briefly explaining what had happened downstairs and emphasizing Tsurumi Kawa's help.
"Hey, are you guys alright? You have to thank Tsurumi Kawa properly when you get down. I can't even imagine what would have happened if he hadn't caught the bomber."
Matsuda Jinpei felt a wave of fear wash over him. Even now, thinking back to what had just happened, his heart rate still quickened. He muttered a few words, then suddenly remembered something and loudly accused, "Did you forget to put on your protective suit again? I'll tell the squad leader when we get back."
The squad leader he was referring to wasn't the squad leader of the explosive ordnance disposal unit, but rather their squad leader from the police academy, Koichi Date. As the eldest of the five-man squad at the police academy, Squad Leader Date was a very responsible person.
Kenji Hagiwara understood that he had just escaped death, and he fully accepted his childhood friend's undisguised concern, promising to wear protective clothing properly from now on. This calmed Jinpei Matsuda down a bit.
After exchanging a few words on the phone, he hung up. Holding his phone, Kenji Hagiwara felt a sense of relief at having escaped death. After calming himself down, he went downstairs with his colleagues.
Just as Tsurumi Kawakami finished giving his statement and came out, he bumped into Kenji Hagiwara and Jinpei Matsuda who were walking towards him. He paused, then walked over, clutching his baseball cap.
Kenji Hagiwara looked at the black-haired, golden-eyed boy and gave him a gentle smile: "Thank you for helping me catch the bomber."
Tsurumi Ryu learned what had happened inside the building from the police officer who had helped take his statement. He hesitated for only a second before thanking Hagiwara Kenji, pursing his lips and smiling with a crinkle in his eyes: "I just happened to see him and then rushed up to him."
Kenji Hagiwara: "That's still pretty impressive."
Matsuda Jinpei: "Alright, Kenji, instead of you all thanking me like this, why don't we all treat Tsurumikawa to a meal together?"
Upon hearing Matsuda Jinpei's suggestion, Hagiwara Kenji immediately agreed. The two exchanged a glance and then turned their attention to Tsurumi Kawa.
Tsurumi Kawakami paused for a second, a hint of hesitation flashing in his eyes, before nodding in agreement: "Then I'll head back to the sushi restaurant first."
After saying goodbye to the two of them, Tsurumi Kawakami put on his hat, rode his electric scooter back to the sushi restaurant. Given the seriousness of the incident in the building, and after the bomber was apprehended and the danger averted, the Metropolitan Police Department contacted a television station to broadcast the news.
When he returned to the sushi restaurant, the owner, Fujiwara Ichiro, had already heard the news from television and greeted him warmly. After dealing with the owner, Tsurumi Nagaru carried the food box to the kitchen, where he was again questioned by the head chef, Wakita Kanenori.
He repeated the same explanation he had given to Fujiwara Ichiro, and then remarked with a sigh, "Life in Beika Town is truly wonderful."
Kenjiro Wakita's eye twitched, and he immediately fell silent.

Two days later, Kenji Hagiwara and Jinpei Matsuda came to the sushi restaurant during their holiday. Tsurumi Kawakami had just returned from delivering food and served them there.
"You can try today's new set meal sushi. It tastes good and is reasonably priced," the black-haired boy in an apron pointed to today's set meal on the menu and recommended it to them.
Matsuda Jinpei took off his sunglasses and tucked them into his collar. He glanced at the set meal he mentioned, then looked up at his childhood friend, Hagiwara Kenji: "So, which one do you choose?"
Kenji Hagiwara doesn't have any particular preferences or requirements when it comes to sushi, so he ordered the same set meal recommended by Tsurumi Kawa.
The shop wasn't crowded today, and Tsurumi Kawakami quickly returned with two sets of sushi. He placed the sushi on the tray on the table and then brought over two cups of tea.
"Your food has all been served. Enjoy!"
Matsuda Jinpei picked up the chopsticks beside him, dipped them in the soy sauce in the dish next to him, and then put them in his mouth. The unique texture of the salmon paired perfectly with the rice, and the savory flavor of the soy sauce was just right; overall, the taste was quite good.
"The salmon is perfect," he said, savoring it carefully.
Tsurumi Kawakami nodded in agreement. He used to like eating steak and beef, but now salmon has also entered his diet.
Kenji Hagiwara: "We were supposed to treat you to dinner, but since you work at a sushi restaurant, Jinpei and I decided to come over instead."
As he spoke, he glanced at Matsuda Jinpei and continued, "We'll treat you to sukiyaki tonight. There's a restaurant there that's really good; Jinpei and I both love going there."
Tsurumi Kawakami: "Hey, want some sukiyaki? I get off work around 7 pm. Which restaurant is it? I'll go straight there after I close."
This was the first time someone had treated him to a meal since he came to this world. In Tsurumi Kawakami's mind, if someone was willing to treat him to a meal, then they were good friends.
But you don't need to be so polite when you're with friends.
Kenji Hagiwara told him the restaurant's name and address, and they arranged to have dinner together that evening. Nagaru Tsurumi wrote it down on his phone, then added their contact information before returning to the kitchen to help.
Chef Wakita Kanenori glanced at the cheerful Tsurumi Kawakawa Nagare and subtly began to probe for information. During their time together, he had pretty much figured out Tsurumi Kawakawa Nagare—straightforward, honest, and eccentric.
To put it simply or colloquially: naive and innocent girls are easily fooled.
Rum, who was tempted by such a gullible boy with extraordinary strength, who went by the alias Wakita Kanenori but was actually the second-in-command of the Black Organization, wanted to introduce Tsurumi Ryuu into the organization.
Unlike Gin's action team, whose members were quick-witted and adept at extracting intelligence, Rum was not only tempted by this physically strong young man, but his ambition also began to swell.
In particular, the organization recently purged a group of undercover agents and urgently needs an injection of fresh blood.
However, further investigation was still necessary, so he patiently began to observe Tsurumi Kawaru in secret. The fact that Tsurumi Kawaru had recently been getting close to two police officers from the Metropolitan Police Department gave Rum a plan in mind.
