Port Mafia Reaction and Games

Port Mafia Reaction and Games

The Mafia port, underground interrogation room.

The iron gate opened, and the stench of blood that hit them was nauseating. Inside the brightly lit room, a girl with her hands bound and suspended hung her head, her long red hair matted into strands, the ends stained with blood.

Upon seeing the person who pushed open the door, the intelligence officer stopped the interrogation and respectfully greeted the young man who walked in, "Lord Lantang."

The young man, who was addressed in this way, had long black hair and seemed to be very afraid of the cold, even wearing an inappropriate black coat in May.

Lan Tang raised his eyes and glanced indifferently at the person hanging upside down. He replied calmly, "The leader sent me to interrogate her."

The intelligence agents exchanged a subtle glance, and the bespectacled man in the lead, feeling as if he had been granted a pardon, quickly led his men out of the interrogation room.

With a click, the door closed, leaving only Lantang and the girl in front of him in the interrogation room.

Rando stood still, neither approaching nor intending to use torture instruments for interrogation. His gaze was calm, his eyes devoid of any ripples, as he quietly watched Ozaki Koyo, who had been suspended and tortured.

After a moment of silence, Rando gazed at her, his tone flat and even, and said, "Miss Ozaki, are you still unwilling to speak? Although the leader will keep you here because of your ability, you can avoid these unnecessary punishments if you just speak up."

Ozaki Koyo slowly raised her head, her eyes empty and her heart ashen. She did not react to Randou's words, but only glanced at him before lowering her head again.

Lan Tang paused, took a few steps closer to her, leaned down slightly and whispered, "Afterwards, I went to Leibo Street, where there was only a car that had been burned to ashes."

After saying this, Lantang stepped back calmly, meeting Ozaki Koyo's gaze as she suddenly looked up.

Lantang did not explain what he had just said, but instead repeated the question he had asked at the beginning.

This time, Ozaki Koyo didn't remain silent. She licked her chapped lips and spoke in a hoarse voice.

-

Outside the door, the bespectacled man and his men were waiting in the corridor.

The short man with a scar on his right eyebrow leaned closer and whispered, "Boss, we've already interrogated Hongye halfway through, and now that Lantang is coming over to take over. Isn't he stealing our job?"

The bespectacled man looked refined and polite, but he was a skilled interrogator in the intelligence team.

He pushed up his glasses perched on his nose, the reflection of the lenses just obscuring the fleeting melancholy in his eyes. He turned his head and glanced expressionlessly at the shorter man, lowering his voice to warn, "This is the leader's order."

The short man shut his mouth in annoyance, but a sense of resentment arose in his heart towards the leader he had never seen before.

Since the leader fell ill and stopped appearing in public, the atmosphere within the port Mafia has become tense, whether it's the leader's unpredictable orders or the infighting that has begun to take sides, both openly and secretly.

Those at the bottom are the ones who feel it most acutely. The number of personnel lost is several times higher than before. Some didn't die in fights with other organizations, but were pushed out as scapegoats by high-ranking officials in internal power struggles.

The only saving grace was that the intelligence department held a special position within the port Mafia; it was directly under the leader and served as the eyes and ears of the organization.

The power struggles among high-ranking officials often bypass the intelligence agencies. They are wary of being seen while simultaneously burying their heads in the sand, believing that their underhanded tactics will go undetected.

The man who eloped and defected with Ozaki Koyo was the former team leader of the intelligence department. The defection of such a person, who held a high position in a special department, was nothing short of a major earthquake for the port Mafia.

Those who betray the Port Mafia never meet a good end. The short man admired him and Momiji's elopement, but he was also more afraid of the Port Mafia.

Nowadays, everyone in the port's Mafia lives in this state, and everyone feels insecure.

More than ten minutes later, the interrogation room door opened again.

Lantang, dressed in a black overcoat, strolled up to them. His mixed-race features exuded calmness and composure. He nodded slightly in acknowledgment and dropped a bombshell in a flat tone that shocked everyone.

“Ozaki Koyo has already confessed. The leader asked her to assist in the investigation of the shipment that went missing from the warehouse tonight, as a way to atone for her sins.”

A look of surprise flashed across the short man's eyes. He suddenly looked up at Lantang, then turned to look at the boss in front of him.

The bespectacled man made no comment, his expression remaining calm and serious. He nodded to indicate that he understood.

Lan Tang didn't care about their reactions. To him, the interrogation was over and the leader's orders had been delivered, which meant he had already completed his mission.

He nodded politely to them and left the underground interrogation room, returning to the surface.

At nine o'clock in the evening, in the quiet night, squads of Mafia officers dressed in black suits walked out of the building one after another, with three executives and Ozaki Koyo, who had just come out of the interrogation room and had only had time to wash up and change into new clothes, trailing behind.

Several officers looked at Ozaki Koyo, who was following beside them, with forced smiles. They had only received orders from their leader before setting off, and learned that Ozaki Koyo was assisting in the investigation.

But everyone present was shrewd and knew that while they were ostensibly assisting in the investigation, the leader secretly wanted to see if they harbored any disloyal intentions.

Thus, a round of polite and flattering banter ensued.

Although they all knew about Ozaki Koyo's past stain—her betrayal and elopement—no one dared to offend her under these circumstances.

Ozaki Koyo was annoyed by these people's attitudes and said coldly, "Everyone, let's put the mission first. The leader said we must find that shipment before dawn."

The moment the words were spoken, there was complete silence.

In the end, it was the Black Lizard Captain who spoke up and resolved the awkward situation. The officers gave a few perfunctory replies with fake smiles, then got into a car and drove away from the Mafia building at the port, heading towards the dock warehouse.

-

Leibo Street, second floor of a small clinic.

After taking a shower, Tsurumi Kawakami came out of the bathroom with a dry towel on his head. He was still damp, his face was rosy, and his hair was dripping wet.

After casually wiping himself with a dry towel, Tsurumi Kawakami ran back to his room in his slippers and called out to Dazai Osamu, who was playing games on the tatami mat, "Dazai, stop playing and go take a shower."

Dazai Osamu stared intently at his phone screen, then casually replied, "I know, Ryu is so long-winded."

After drying his hair until it was no longer dripping wet, Tsurumi Kawakami ran to the wardrobe, took out a hairdryer from the drawer, and a whirring noise followed. Accompanied by a game over notification sound, Dazai Osamu threw down his phone and rolled around in frustration.

After drying his hair, Tsurumi Kawaru put the hairdryer back in the closet. Seeing that Dazai Osamu was still lying there motionless, he turned around, took out his change of clothes from the closet, and threw them at Dazai Osamu's head: "Go take a shower. Dr. Mori will need to use the bathroom in a bit."

Dazai Osamu's vision went black for a moment. He reached out and removed the clothes from his face, rolled over, and rolled to the edge of the tatami mat: "Okay, I'll go now."

He took his clothes, changed into slippers, and left the room, heading towards the private bathroom at the end of the corridor.

Tsurumi Kawakami spread out the bedding and was about to lie down when he suddenly remembered the man he had rescued downstairs. He got up, ran to Mori Ougai's room, knocked, and after receiving a reply, pushed the door open and went in: "Dr. Mori, is it alright for that person to be alone downstairs?"

When Mori Ougai heard him ask about it, he smiled almost imperceptibly and said, "It's alright, I've already taken care of it."

Tsurumi Kawakuri nodded, puzzled. Relieved, he said hello and returned to his room.

A while later, Dazai Osamu, having finished his shower, pushed open the door and came in. Seeing the person already lying in bed, he slowly walked over and said, "Eh? Going to bed so early today? It's not even ten o'clock yet, is it?"

Tsurumi Kawaru opened his eyes, his bright golden pupils shimmering under the light, like a jar of freshly opened, still flowing honey. He lay flat on the tatami, clutching the blanket with little stars printed on it, looking at him obediently: "Chuuya and I made plans to play games tomorrow."

The subtext is that I should go to bed early tonight.

Dazai Osamu looked at him with utter surprise and disbelief: "Eh—!! You're actually going to play games with him?"

Tsurumi Kawakami nodded, looking at Dazai Osamu with a bewildered expression.

As Dazai Osamu recalled the time he played games with Tsurumi Kawaru, he felt a strange pity for Chuuya, who would be playing games with him the next day.

Tsurumi Kawakami blinked, thinking he wanted to go too, and said, "Dazai, do you want to come along?"

Dazai Osamu's expression turned strange. Meeting his bright golden eyes, he crossed his arms, raised his chin slightly, and said, "Hmm, since you've invited me, then let's go."

After saying that, Dazai Osamu narrowed his eyes and said cryptically, "Did he invite you?"

Tsurumi Kawakami nodded: "Yes, Chuuya said he goes there often."

Dazai Osamu paused for a moment, somewhat surprised that Nakahara Chuuya actually liked playing video games.

-

Nothing was said that night.

The next morning, after breakfast, Tsurumi Kawakami and Dazai Osamu went to the place that Chuuya had agreed to meet the day before.

At the entrance of the arcade, Chuuya Nakahara, wearing a black T-shirt, leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, waiting for someone with a cold expression.

Seeing Tsurumi Kawaru waving at him from afar, the ochre-haired boy straightened up and took a few steps forward, the coldness in his eyes beginning to melt away. However, when he saw Dazai Osamu next to Tsurumi Kawaru, he immediately frowned.

Chuuya Nakahara looked displeased: "What are you doing here too?"

Dazai Osamu blinked: "Eh? You're not welcome in Chuuya either?"

He spoke in a teasing tone, then turned to look at Tsurumi Kawakami beside him with a pitiful and innocent expression.

Tsurumi Kawaru stood between the two, looking around blankly. His eyes were immediately drawn to the arcade machines at the entrance of the arcade.

So, Tsurumi Kawa reached out to the two of them, grabbing one from each side, and said excitedly, "We're good friends, of course we can play together! What's that, Chuuya? Can you teach me?"

"Huh? He and I are not friends!" they both said in unison.

Realizing they had said the same thing, the two exchanged a glance and simultaneously looked away in disgust.
