Seeking medical treatment and exploration
The Mafia building at the port.
Mori Ougai, dressed in a white coat and carrying a simple medicine box, followed behind Ozaki Kouyou. From the moment he entered the Mafia building at the port, he was constantly being watched by those hidden gazes.
This was his first time entering this place. Mori Ougai quickly and discreetly surveyed the area, paying particular attention to the ubiquitous surveillance cameras.
There were many people dressed in black suits on the ground floor of the building. They came and went in a hurry, and when they saw Ozaki Koyo, a hint of fear and trepidation unconsciously showed in their eyes.
They greeted him respectfully, "Lord Hongye."
As he walked along, seeing more and more people behaving this way, Mori Ōgai's gaze involuntarily fell on Ozaki Koyo, who was leading the way.
A few days ago, he received a letter that was secretly handed to him. The letter stated his identity and purpose at the beginning. From the letter, Mori Ougai got a relatively clear impression of Ozaki Koyo for the first time.
Although he had often spoken with that man under the guise of payment in order to obtain information about the port Mafia, he had heard stories from the man about lovers being captured several times.
However, from Mori Ōgai's perspective, he did not think highly of the couple, regardless of their identities or statuses.
The man is just an ordinary person. Although he has the identity of the former head of the Port Mafia intelligence department, Mori Ougai believes that Ozaki Kouyou, as a superhuman, can go further than him.
As he entered the elevator, Mori Ougai casually glanced up at the red-lit security camera in the corner.
He then calmly withdrew his gaze, looking directly at the smooth elevator wall. The bright, clean elevator wall, reflecting images clearly, showed both of their faces. Mori Ougai stood on the left, one step behind Ozaki Koyo.
He gazed quietly ahead, his eyes subtly glancing at Ozaki Koyo, who was dressed in a crimson kimono.
Ozaki Koyo undoubtedly possesses outstanding looks. Her long red hair is tied up at the back of her head, revealing her slender and fair neck. She has a very good temperament, which immediately reminds people of the Yamato Nadeshiko.
As Mori Ougai observed her, he mentally assessed her. She was an esper with outstanding looks, remarkable temperament, and powerful abilities. The best solution would be to win her over.
Mori Ougai felt a slight sense of weightlessness, his gaze calmly fixed on the elevator numbers displaying the ascent. He noticed that Ozaki Kouyou had pressed the button for the highest floor, meaning the elevator wouldn't arrive anytime soon.
He was somewhat distracted by the question he had just asked, and Mori Ougai thought he wouldn't mind using the man's life-saving grace to facilitate cooperation.
However, he had noticed in his previous letter that Ozaki Koyo seemed to have an unusual hatred for the leader of the Port Mafia, and given that his lover had almost died, Mori Ougai felt that facilitating the cooperation might be simpler than he thought.
With a ding, the elevator arrived, and the doors slowly opened to both sides.
As Mori Ougai lowered his head, he quickly glanced outside. A long corridor led straight to the innermost door. The floor was paved with solid marble slabs, and his heels made a crisp echo as he walked on it.
The corridor was long, with surveillance cameras and guard posts almost every so often. Muscular men in black suits stood with their hands behind their backs, watching them. Each of them had a weapon bulging at their waist.
They stopped in front of the office door and were searched and informed by the guards. Only after receiving instructions from inside were they allowed to enter.
The door opened, revealing a spacious and luxurious office. A bright red carpet covered the floor, and a dark red solid wood desk stood against the wall in the center, flanked by huge floor-to-ceiling windows on either side.
What's strange is that there's no one in the room.
Mori Ougai glanced at the black leather chair behind the desk, a hint of suspicion in his eyes.
Ozaki Koyo happened to turn her head and glance at him, then calmly led him forward: "Dr. Mori, come with me."
Mori Ougai withdrew his gaze, smiled apologetically at her, and followed Ozaki Koyo to a hidden door.
The door was rather inconspicuous, with a half-person-high oil painting hanging on it. Mori Ougai noticed that Ozaki Koyo pressed a decoration next to the painting, and then the hidden door opened a crack.
The two men passed through a door into a secluded lounge, which was larger than the outer office and seemed to be a suite. He followed them through a luxurious living room to a bedroom.
Ozaki Koyo knocked on the door respectfully, and only after receiving a response did she push the door open and lead the people inside.
Upon entering, Mori Ōgai smelled a mixture of disinfectant, medicine, and aromatherapy in the air. Fortunately, it wasn't stuffy inside, probably because the ventilation system was running continuously.
Mori Ougai stared down at the floor, while also taking a moment to think about this problem.
"Cough cough cough... You're that quack doctor?"
The black-haired youth in the white coat straightened up and bowed slightly respectfully, replying, "Yes, leader, my name is Mori Ougai."
He didn't rashly look up at the large bed that occupied a third of the room and the person lying on it; he just kept his head down and stared at the bedpost.
"I've heard you're quite capable; I hope you won't disappoint me."
Mori Ogai only smiled and did not speak. He was then ordered to step forward and observe the patient's condition.
Before he arrived, he had received information about the port Mafia leader's condition from a letter from Ozaki Koyo, which gave him a general idea of the cause of his illness and the direction of treatment.
So after a simple examination using the medical equipment in the room, Mori Ougai quickly came up with a treatment plan.
In a short period of time, the old leader's face, ravaged by illness, became sunken and his cheekbones protruded. His slightly cloudy eyes looked at people with a terrifying and tyrannical emotion. He stared at Mori Ougai for a few seconds and then revealed a bloodthirsty and maniacal smile.
"You did very well." He finished speaking, panting, and turned to look at Ozaki Koyo, who was silent by the bedside. His tone was tinged with praise and satisfaction. "Koyo, you did well this time."
Ozaki Koyo lowered her eyes and gave a respectful but numbly humble remark before retreating to a corner.
"Place Dr. Mori next door so he can take care of the patient and provide treatment nearby."
"Yes, Chief."

Leibo Street, clinic.
A solitary three-story white house sits on the outskirts of Leibo Street. The surrounding houses are in varying degrees of disrepair, their gray hues casting a gloomy shadow over them.
A sign indicating "Closed" hung on the glass door handle of the clinic, and the rusty roller shutter was half-closed, obscuring the upper part of the word "Clinic".
Tsurumi Kawakami sat in his swivel chair in front of his desk, spinning around rather boredly. Because the business was closed today, only one light was on in the outer office.
Dazai Osamu sat on the sofa playing video games. Sunlight streamed through the glass door, casting a soft glow on the clean floor. The game's background music was blasting from the speakers, and just listening to it conjured up images of intense battles and flashy gameplay.
Tsurumi Kawara sat backwards in his chair, his toes touching the ground, his arms resting on the back of the chair. He looked at Dazai Osamu, whose only part of his black hair was visible on the sofa: "Dazai, aren't you worried?"
The cheerful game music started playing. Dazai Osamu, who had won, put down his phone, stretched, and said in a lazy and leisurely tone, "What are you worried about, Mr. Mori?"
Tsurumi River nodded with a worried expression, thinking of Mori Ougai who had been picked up in a black car that morning.
Dazai Osamu got up and took a can of crab meat from the cupboard. He turned around, glanced at Tsurumi Kawakami, and said with a smirk, "Didn't Mr. Mori tell you that he was planning to change jobs? Since he has a plan and is confident, what are you worried about?"
Tsurumi Kawakami pushed off with his foot, slid his swivel chair to the sofa, glanced at the can of food in Dazai Osamu's hand, and then loudly retorted, "This is different! I know those men in black suits, they are the Port Mafia!"
Dazai Osamu shrugged indifferently and ate the crab meat with relish.
Tsurumi Kawaru frowned, as if he wanted to say something, when there was a knock on the glass door. The two turned around and saw Nakahara Chuuya push the door open and come in.
"Aren't you open today?" The ochre-haired boy walked in with his hands in his pockets, nodded to them in greeting, and said, "What were you talking about just now? I think I heard the Port Mafia?"
Tsurumi Kawa was delighted to see him and waved, calling out, "Chuuya!"
Upon hearing him mention the Port Mafia, the black-haired, golden-eyed boy turned to look at Dazai Osamu and complained to him with some dissatisfaction, "This morning, Dr. Mori was picked up by the Port Mafia."
Chuuya Nakahara was startled and subconsciously looked up at Osamu Dazai. Seeing him engrossed in playing the game, he immediately understood the reason for Tsurumi Kawaru's complaining expression.
Tsurumi Kawaru complained a few times, then asked Nakahara Chuuya about his purpose in coming.
"Huh? Oh, I... I came here to ask you about Rando." Nakahara Chuuya touched his nose and looked at Tsurumi Kawaru with a guilty look.
His previous conversation with Rando was interrupted by the arrival of Tsurumi Kawaru. When he tried to contact Rando again, he found that he did not have his contact information and did not know where Rando was.
Because he remembered that Tsurumi Kawakami had mentioned seeing Rando at the clinic that day, Nakahara Chuuya decided to give it a try and came to see him.
Tsurumi Kawa thought for a moment before remembering what happened that day. He understood why Tsurumi Kawa had asked Rando about it, but a hint of apology appeared in his eyes as he stammered, "Rando came to Dr. Mori to buy information. Only Dr. Mori knows how to contact Rando."
A hint of disappointment flashed in Chuuya Nakahara's eyes. He was about to ask him if he knew what information Rando had bought.
Dazai Osamu, who had been engrossed in playing games, suddenly spoke up, "I know! Randou is a member of the Port Mafia."
Tsurumi Kawakami's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at Dazai Osamu and asked, "Eh?! Dazai, do you know Rando's identity?"
Chuuya Nakahara was clearly not focusing on that. His expression was somewhat serious, and he looked at him intently: "Is Randou a port Mafia?"
Dazai Osamu didn't look up, ignoring the two gazes fixed on him, and simply grunted in a nasal tone.
Tsurumi Kawakami turned to Chuuya and said with some concern, "What should we do then?"
It was unexpected that Lantang was a member of the port's Mafia, and this made it somewhat troublesome to see him.
