Dessert Partner and Task Ticket King

Dessert Partner and Task Ticket King

May arrived in the blink of an eye. The cherry blossoms in Tokyo had already faded, and the weather was gradually warming up. However, this was followed by an explosive increase in the number of cursed spirits. As a first-year student at a vocational high school, Tsurumi Ryu was extremely busy.

"It's Ryu's turn to go on a mission with me today, right?" Gojo Satoru asked the assistant supervisor in front of him as he looked at the mission report.

The assistant supervisor in front of him seemed terrified of Gojo Satoru, and dared not be negligent in the slightest, nodding repeatedly: "Yes, this time it's you and Tsurumikawa together."

Gojo Satoru was immediately delighted. He tossed the mission report back to the assistant supervisor, took out his phone from his pocket, and started sending messages to Tsurumi Ryu in a flurry of messages.

As he sent the message, he told the assistant supervisor, "Go back to the school to get the flow first, then head to the mission location."

The assistant supervisor was stunned for a moment, then realized what was happening and immediately drove towards the vocational college.

Inside the college dormitory building, Tsurumi Kawaru received a message from Gojo Satoru. He got up, put on his school uniform, took his phone, and went downstairs to wait at the school gate.

It's been almost a month since school started, and Tsurumi Kawaru, as a Level 2 Spellcaster, is the lowest-ranking freshman besides Ieiri Shoko.

Because of his rank, he always went on missions with Xia Youjie and Wutiao Wu respectively. Except for a period of time at the beginning when he was not used to it, he has now fully adapted and is looking forward to the upcoming high-intensity missions.

After all, the amount of money deposited into the bank account after each mission is substantial.

A boy with black hair and golden eyes stood under a tree at the school gate, wearing a slightly loose, dark-colored school uniform. Bright sunlight shone through the gaps in the leaves, casting dappled patterns of light on his hair and body.

Tsurumi Kawakami has grown 3 centimeters taller than before, and he is now 171 centimeters tall. However, compared to Natsuyu Suguru, who is about to break 180 centimeters, and Gojo Satoru, who has already broken the 180-centimeter mark, his height is still somewhat lacking.

Because of his slimmer figure, the baby fat on his cheeks has faded slightly, and his facial features have become more defined. However, paired with his fluffy, soft black hair and droopy puppy-dog eyes, the youthful look is still there.

After waiting for a while, the black car driven by the assistant supervisor drove up the mountain road and finally stopped not far from Tsurumi River.

"Ryu, get in the car quickly." Gojo Satoru, sitting in the back seat, rolled down the car window and waved at him like a lucky cat.

Tsurumi Kawakami's eyes lit up, and he jogged forward, opened the back door, and got into the car: "Satoru, it's finally our turn to do a mission together. Are we going to the confectionery shop in Akihabara afterwards?"

Gojo Satoru pulled down his sunglasses, winked at him with his azure eyes, patted Tsurumi Kawaru's shoulder with a grin, and said with great satisfaction, "Kawaru's suggestion is great, let's go to that shop later, I heard they have new desserts."

As a dessert lover, Gojo Satoru needed to eat high-calorie foods to recover from the strain of the Six Eyes, and desserts became his favorite after being the first choice.

Unfortunately, among his contemporaries, Natsumi Yuki preferred bland foods like soba noodles, and Shoko even liked drinking alcohol. Luckily, there was still Ryu. Both Ryu and Tsurumi enjoyed high-calorie foods, but Tsurumi's tastes were more diverse, preferring meat to sweets.

The two hit it off immediately. Upon arriving at the mission location, a house that had been listed for sale for a long time but had not been sold due to various supernatural issues, they quickly found the cursed spirit in the house and exorcised it.

The task took less than ten minutes; they quickly left the house and had the assistant supervisor take them to a dessert shop in Akihabara.

Sitting by the window in the store, Tsurumi Kawaru flipped through the menu with photos of the dishes while chatting with Gojo Satoru.

"Bring one for Jieya later," he said, turning a few pages, a hint of hesitation flashing in his eyes, before looking up at Gojo Satoru.

"Hey, should I get one for Jay? He doesn't like things too sweet, so let's pick one that's not too sweet for him."

Tsurumi Kawakami's eyes lit up, and he nodded with a smile.

The desserts ordered by the two were laid out on the long table, most of them from Gojo Satoru. Tsurumi Kawaru is very accepting of desserts, but if he eats too much, it can get a bit too sweet.

After finishing off a table full of desserts, Gojo Satoru took out his membership card from his wallet and beckoned Tsurumi Kawaru to pick out desserts for Natsumi Yuuki.

During the process, I also brought a gift to my family, who stayed at the college.

Tsurumi Kawaru carried the paper bag, and the two walked towards the station. The assistant supervisor had already left, and if they wanted to get back to the vocational high school, they had to go to the station to take the JR line.

"There seem to be more cursed spirits now." Inside the station, Tsurumi Kawaru and Gojo Satoru stood by a stone pillar in the corner. He looked around casually and noticed many level four cursed spirits.

Gojo Satoru: "Don't worry about that. These low-level cursed spirits are like ants. They'll pop up in droves every summer, and you can't get rid of them all."

The white-haired boy wore round sunglasses. He was taller than most people. He leaned against a stone pillar with a calm expression on his face and spoke with a hint of indifference and ease.

That's what he said, but Gojo Satoru still raised his hand, and his vigorous magical power spread out, pacifying the low-level magical spirits in the station.

Tsurumi Kawakami's golden eyes widened slightly, and he let out a small "wow," his gaze towards Gojo Satoru becoming bright and sparkling.

Gojo Satoru pushed up his sunglasses, adopted a haughty demeanor, glanced at the approaching train, and said, "The train's here, let's go."

Carrying the desserts, Tsurumi Kawa followed closely behind Gojo Satoru onto the train. The carriage was crowded and there were no seats available, so they had to stand near the door where there were handrails.

Gojo Satoru, dressed in a dark school uniform, wearing round sunglasses, with striking white hair and an unusually tall stature, exuded an imposing aura.

There was some space around them, and no one dared to approach.

The carriage was a bit stuffy. Tsurumi Kawakami turned his head and looked around curiously. This was only the third time he had ridden a train.

Seeing him crane his neck, Gojo Satoru leaned down and glanced around, then asked with some confusion, "Ryu, what are you looking at?"

Tsurumi Nagare explained the reason to him, and then said with some longing, "I wonder what it feels like to fly on an airplane."

Gojo Satoru blinked and said, "Eh? An airplane? I don't think I've ever ridden one before. Next time, let's bring Jet and Shoko along for a try."

Tsurumi Kawakami's eyes lit up, and he nodded like a chick pecking at rice.

As the tram arrived at the station, crowds jostled to get off, while others who had been waiting at the station squeezed onto the tram.

Tsurumi Kawaru followed closely behind Gojo Satoru to protect the dessert in his hands. After getting off the train safely, he breathed a sigh of relief. The two of them took a taxi back to the vocational high school after leaving the station.

However, they walked the last part of the mountain road on their own; the taxi only dropped them off at the foot of the mountain, since the existence of the college was little known.

Upon returning to the high school, they happened to run into Masamichi Yagami, who was preparing to leave for a meeting in Kyoto. With the arrival of summer, the number of cursed spirits was about to explode, and the senior management of the General Headquarters and its subordinate observation organizations were also busy.

As the first-year class teacher and the nominee for the next principal of Tokyo High School, Masamichi Yagami, a first-level sorcerer, is extremely busy. These past few days, his assistant supervisor has been taking over his basic classes.

Seeing them return, Masamichi Yagami gave them a few words of advice with a stern face before being called away by a phone call. Watching his hurried departure, Tsurumi Kawaru felt a pang of emotion.

“Mr. Night Moth is very busy too,” he said to Gojo Satoru next to him.

Gojo Satoru pursed his lips and called out to him, "Let's go, Jie is waiting for us in the dorm."

-

As the weather turned scorching hot, it was already the end of June. The explosive surge of cursed spirits kept the students of Tokyo Vocational High School so busy that they were nowhere to be seen. The teaching buildings were completely empty, and it wasn't a week before any classrooms were even used.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Tsurumi Kawaru and Yagami Masamichi submitted their applications for Level 1 Spellcaster certification. Over the past month, he had been frantically going on missions to exorcise cursed spirits, and his skills had been recognized. After passing the assessment, he successfully obtained the corresponding new certification.

After becoming a near-first-level sorcerer, Tsurumi Kawaru was able to undertake some missions independently. This convenience allowed him to become completely engrossed, and even his assistant supervisor was somewhat afraid.

"Tsurumikawa-kun, don't you really need to rest?" The assistant director, who was somewhat thin and had an ordinary face, looked at him with a hint of worry.

Having just dealt with a level-two cursed spirit, Tsurumi Kawaru's fair cheek was still stained with a drop of foul-smelling blood, which he casually wiped away and ignored.

After all, once the cursed spirit is exorcised, any spells or impurities left behind by the cursed spirit will quickly disappear.

He opened the car door and got in. Despite having already exorcised two cursed spirits, he still seemed incredibly energetic.

Tsurumi Kawaru leaned against the car window, waved to the assistant director, and said with a smile, "I'm fine, let's continue to the next mission location."

For the sake of his wallet, Tsurumi Kawakami, who has evolved into the King of Rolls, is fearless.

Working non-stop until 9 p.m., the numb assistant supervisor drove Tsurumi Kawa back to the high school and then drove away without stopping.

Standing by the roadside, he originally intended to say thank you, but looking at the car exhaust, Tsurumi Kawakami blinked innocently, stretched, and returned to his dormitory covered in dust.

Just as Tsurumi Kawaru opened the dormitory door, before he could even go inside, Xia Youjie, who had heard the commotion next door, opened his door and came over carrying a paper bag.

"I bought this at a dessert shop I passed by on my way to a mission today," Xia Youjie said, handing the paper bag to Tsurumi Kawaru.

"Wow, thank you, Jay!" The black-haired, golden-eyed boy accepted the gift with a look of surprise. "However, I didn't bring anything back today."

Xia Youjie paused, looked at him and said, "This isn't an exchange, it's a local specialty I brought for you."

He thought of the food that Tsurumi Kawakami brought back for everyone when he returned from a mission, and hesitated for a second before choosing this adjective.

"I took on a few tasks today." To avoid this topic, Xia Youjie chose to divert his attention.

Tsurumi Kawaru, carrying a paper bag, invited him into the dormitory: "Hmm, five, but they're all level two cursed spirits."

A hint of surprise flashed in Xia Youjie's eyes, followed by hesitation. After a few seconds of silence, he carefully said, "If you need money urgently, you can talk to me and Wu."

Tsurumi Kawa went to the kitchen and poured a glass of ice water for Xia Youjie. Hearing his words, Xia Youjie blushed and shook his head, explaining, "It's not that I'm in a hurry for money, I just like seeing the money in my bank account increase."

Upon hearing his answer, Xia Youjie fell silent.
