Plans to meet with friends
Tsurumi Kawaru stared longingly at Dazai Osamu, when suddenly an idea struck him. He took out a small coconut milk bread from his bag, held it in his palm, and reluctantly handed it to him.
Dazai Osamu's lips twitched, but before he could say anything, Nakahara Chuuya, standing to the side, bristled. He forced his way between them, his azure eyes fixed warily on Dazai Osamu.
Chuuya Nakahara made no attempt to hide his prejudice against Osamu Dazai, stating his opposition quite bluntly: "No way! Who knows what strange and torturous methods he'll come up with in the end?"
Tsurumi Kawaru held the small bread roll, his eyelashes drooping in frustration, his golden pupils seeming to dim slightly.
He instinctively stroked Chuuya's hair, unwrapped the small bread in his hand, and asked while eating, "Chuuya, do you have any good ideas?"
Chuuya Nakahara snorted coldly, put his hands in his pockets, and said with a cold expression, "They're all bullies who prey on the weak. A good beating will do them good."
Tsurumi Kawakami fell into deep thought, his hand unconsciously opening a bottle of yogurt as he seriously considered the feasibility of this method.
But he was interrupted by a strange laugh from Dazai Osamu halfway through his thoughts. Tsurumi Kawa looked up and saw Dazai Osamu covering his face with one hand and holding his stomach with the other, his shoulders shaking with laughter.
Tsurumi Kawakami's golden eyes showed confusion: "?"
Dazai Osamu stopped laughing, cleared his throat, and gave a succinct assessment: "The methods are crude, but they fit the choice of a shorty and an idiot."
Especially after seeing Tsurumi Kawakami start to seriously think things through.
After giving his brief assessment, Dazai Osamu, under the threatening gazes of the two violent thugs, muttered a few complaints under his breath.
He calmed down and questioned Chuuya Nakahara: "How can you guarantee that they won't openly agree to join, but secretly report us to the Port Mafia?"
Tsurumi Kawakami scratched his cheek in distress, then suddenly looked at Nakahara Chuuya with a sudden realization: "That's right, Dazai is right. It would be bad if they told the Port Mafia about our plan."
Chuuya Nakahara was initially enraged by Dazai Osamu's evaluation, cursing and swearing as if he wanted to give up. However, he fell silent after hearing the question that followed.
The ochre-haired boy crossed his arms and glanced arrogantly at Dazai Osamu: "Then what do you suggest we do?"
Following the crowd, Tsurumi Kawa turned his gaze to Dazai Osamu, wanting to hear his solution.
The pressure was on Dazai Osamu, but he remained calm and ignored the two gazes fixed on him. He stroked his chin, squinted and pondered for a while, then suddenly curled his lips into a malicious smile.
He snapped his fingers and said, "Let's raid the Mafia's warehouse at the port again."
Tsurumi looked at Dazai with a puzzled expression, then turned to look at Nakahara Chuuya. Seeing that he also looked puzzled, she turned back to Dazai and asked him directly, "But didn't you just say that the others were afraid of the Port Mafia's power and wouldn't dare to or wouldn't agree?"
Dazai Osamu: "Yes, that's right. But the pretext for this attack isn't revenge, but rather resistance against the oppression exerted by the Port Mafia. As for persuading them, that's even easier; this time, we'll rob the Port Mafia's supply warehouse."
Seeing Dazai Osamu's effortless manner, Tsurumi Kawa tried to follow his train of thought with his 4 intelligence, but after listening to the whole conversation, his mind went completely blank.
He stared blankly, mouth agape, and asked in confusion, "Can this really persuade them?"
Chuuya Nakahara isn't stupid; with a little thought, he understood Dazai Osamu's actions and had to admit that this annoying guy was quite capable.
"Are you trying to use this as an excuse to incite them? Robbing the supply warehouse is indeed a good idea."
Tsurumi River saw that Nakahara Chuuya had caught up with Dazai Osamu's train of thought, and he felt like he had been left behind when the three of them were walking the same path.
He turned his head and looked around, then decided to give up thinking and started eating a small bread roll.
Having devised a plan of resistance, Chuuya Nakahara had already put aside his past grievances against Osamu Dazai, but to ensure the plan's success, they needed to obtain the exact location of the Mafia's supply warehouse at the port.
Chuuya Nakahara frowned and thought for a moment, then said to them, "Perhaps we can ask Shirase."
After all, he had led a group to bomb an arms depot before.
Tsurumi Kawakami blinked and stopped eating. He finally remembered something he had forgotten when he entered the sheep territory.
Did that kid named Sota have someone go and call Shirase?
Just as Tsurumi Nagare was about to speak after swallowing the bread in his mouth, there was a loud knocking on the door. He heard Shirase calling for him to open the door, along with other voices, creating a very noisy cacophony.
He turned to look at Dazai Osamu, who was still sitting on the high stool, his hand supporting his chin, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Tsurumi Kawakami shifted his position and dragged his chair next to Dazai Osamu.
As soon as Chuuya Nakahara opened the door, Shirase and his men rushed in. When he saw Osamu Dazai and Nagaru Tsurumi sitting in the room, his expression twisted for a moment. He was a little scared, but he had the confidence that the people behind him gave him. Shirase's expression was not very natural, but his tone was still arrogant.
"Hey, who gave you permission to enter the sheep's territory?"
Ever since Shirase led his men to rob Tsurumi Kawa and Dazai Osamu but ended up getting beaten up instead, and then sent Nakahara Chuuya to seek revenge only to be robbed himself, Tsurumi Kawa and Dazai Osamu have been going to the sheep's territory from time to time, trying to stage another accident like this.
Shirase is arrogant and has a bad temper. Whenever they come, he leads his men to gang up on them, only to be beaten up and then robbed by Tsurumi Kawa, who has learned new skills.
Before long, Tsurumi Ryūmitsu had managed to squeeze tens of thousands of yen out of Shirase and his gang.
It wasn't until Chuuya Nakahara intervened and fought Tsurumi Kawakami that the fight ended. This time, without Osamu Dazai's intervention, they fought for an hour, and in the end, neither could gain the upper hand, and both collapsed to the ground exhausted.
Tsurumi Kawaru, panting, looked at the huge, cotton candy-shaped white cloud in the azure sky, then suddenly turned his head to look at Nakahara Chuuya, who was lying next to him, also panting.
With a warm smile in his bright golden eyes, Tsurumi Kawaru laughed and said loudly to him, "Chuuya, let's be friends!"
Chuuya Nakahara suddenly opened his eyes wide, a hint of panic flashing in his azure eyes, and roared angrily, "Bastard! Who wants to be friends with you!"
Tsurumi Kawa blinked, staring at Chuuya's slightly reddened ears, and said bluntly, "Chuuya, your ears are red."
Chuuya Nakahara immediately bristled, his face flushed with embarrassment and anger. He glared at Chuuya fiercely, then turned and fled in panic.
Having made a good friend with Nakahara Chuuya, Tsurumi Kawakami refrained from robbing people when he went to the sheep farm again, out of consideration for his friend. However, when faced with people who came at him waving their fists, he would always stand still and not fight back, letting them hit him and then bouncing back.
After so many times, Shirase had learned his lesson and stopped targeting Tsurumi River. Instead, they focused their attention on Dazai Osamu, only to be soundly defeated. They no longer dared to cause trouble and only hurled insults at him.
Chuuya Nakahara closed the door, turned around, frowned unhappily at Shirase, and walked up to them: "I brought them in."
Shirase's haughty expression froze instantly. He glanced at Tsurumi Kawakami and Dazai Osamu with that sullen face, then lowered his voice to complain to Nakahara Chuuya.
Chuuya Nakahara, thinking about the plan, listened with a frown and pursed lips, then looked up and asked about the Mafia warehouse at Shirase Port.
When Shirase heard Chuuya bring this up, a hint of guilt flashed in his eyes, and he raised his voice to cover it up, saying, "You also think I did something wrong and caused trouble for the sheep, right? If I hadn't led the attack on the Mafia's weapons depot at the port, I don't know if we would have been able to survive this month!"
"Shirase—!!" Chuuya Nakahara interrupted him sharply, "That's not what I meant. I was just asking if you knew where the Port Mafia's supply depot was."
Shirase stopped talking, looking at him with a hint of disbelief. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Dazai Osamu and Tsurumi Nagare watching the show behind Nakahara Chuuya, and immediately fell silent and did not make a sound.
Although he didn't know why Chuuya was asking this, he still began to recall the attack on the weapons depot. Shirase nodded and told Chuuya the location.
"Chuuya, why are you asking this? Are you going to rob the port Mafia?" Shirase looked at him in disbelief, feeling that it was really crazy at this critical moment.
Having gotten a general idea of the location, Chuuya Nakahara didn't take Shirase's questioning attitude too seriously. He gave a vague reply and saw the person out of the room.
Seeing the large group of people leaving noisily, Tsurumi Kawakami nudged Dazai Osamu beside him: "Now that we have a target, shouldn't we go and investigate them first?"
Although Shirase's voice was soft, he was close enough that Tsurumi Kawakami heard the location he mentioned. Now that the plan and the target were clear, the next step, in his mind, was to scout out the location before taking action.
Dazai Osamu, however, was not in a hurry. Instead, he said out of the blue, "We've been out for a while now. If we don't go back soon, Mr. Mori will get worried."
The topic shifted a bit too quickly, and Tsurumi Kawakami was taken aback. He subconsciously took out his phone to check the time and realized that it was indeed almost time for dinner.
Tsurumi Kawaru pursed his lips, somewhat hesitant, but ultimately decided to fill his stomach first. He got up and followed Dazai Osamu outside, where he bumped into Nakahara Chuuya, who was returning.
As Dazai Osamu walked by, one hand in his pocket, he casually patted Chuuya on the shoulder and said in a nonchalant tone, "It all depends on Chuuya to persuade the others. Good luck~"
Tsurumi Kawaru followed behind, and seeing that Nakahara Chuuya looked wary of Dazai Osamu about to cause trouble, he shook his shoulders and shook Dazai Osamu's hand off.
When it was Tsurumi Kawaru's turn, he awkwardly scratched his cheek, then remembered that there was a bottle of yogurt and a few small bread rolls left in his bag. He quickly took them out and gave them to Chuuya: "Ah, I almost forgot, these are for you."
"Since it's almost lunchtime, Dazai and I plan to go back first. When it's time to set off for the plan, remember to have someone come to the clinic to call us."
He mimicked Dazai Osamu's earlier gesture, patted Chuuya on the shoulder, and said with a firm gaze, "After all, we're friends!"
After giving the encouragement, Tsurumi Kawaru hurriedly stuffed the things into Chuuya's hands, bypassed him, and quickly caught up with Dazai.
Chuuya Nakahara clutched the cutely packaged bread, watching the two figures disappear into the distance. His ears turned slightly red as he muttered under his breath, "Who said we're friends? I haven't even agreed yet."
