Roasted pig brains and slices

Roasted pig brains and slices

Bright incandescent lights worked cautiously, illuminating the entire basement. The cold, gleaming dissection table reflected the overhead light, and against the wall, in a cylindrical glass jar, a male corpse was completely immersed in formalin.

The silk rope pulled Tsurumi Kawaru out of the sack. Staring at the unconscious boy with his eyes closed, he looked on with great interest. Thinking that he would soon have the ability to defend against the Six-Eyed Technique, he couldn't wait any longer.

"Don't worry, I'll treat your friends well." A gentle male voice, tinged with a hint of terror, echoed in the basement.

As soon as he finished speaking, the silk cord directly used its own technique on Tsurumi Kawa, but the next second the technique was like a mud ox sinking into the sea, without making a ripple.

The air fell silent for a second. Just as Kinso was beginning to have doubts, a sharp pain struck. The main body hiding in the head felt like it was being electrocuted, as if the high-voltage electricity was about to cook it alive.

Kinro, disguised as Kamo Norihiro, had a ferocious expression. He swayed and barely managed to grab the dissection table when the sutures on his forehead suddenly split open.

With a thud, the skull, along with half a scalp and strands of hair, crashed to the ground, and a steaming, nearly cooked brain with sharp teeth nestled in the remaining half of the skull.

At that moment, Tsurumi Kawakami, smelling the burnt aroma in the air, suddenly sat up from the dissection table. He straightened his upper body and turned his head to see the grotesque brain flower standing next to him, missing half of its original skull.

Tsurumi Kawaru was startled and his eyes widened. After a few seconds, he reacted and immediately took out his phone to inform Gojo Satoru and Natsuyu Suguru outside.

A few minutes later—

The trio huddled around the dissection table, staring at the brains on the smooth, gleaming surface. Gojo Satoru, stroking his chin, remarked with amusement, "So this is the stuff from the 'Calculation School'..."

Xia Youjie's expression was also somewhat strange. After hesitating for a few seconds, he said, "...Right?"

Tsurumi Kawaru swallowed hard, his words straightforward and honest: "It smells a bit good."

As soon as he finished speaking, Gojo Satoru and Natsuyuki turned to look at him with surprise.

Tsurumi Kawakami smiled shyly, scratched his cheek, and looked at the half-cooked pig brain: "It looks a bit like the roasted pig brain I've seen before."

Gojo Satoru blinked slowly, his gaze a mixture of curiosity and disgust: "There's actually something like this that tastes good?"

Xia Youjie quickly stopped him: "Wu, don't think about it."

Tsurumi Nagare recalled for a moment and nodded: "Hmm, it's said to be similar to tofu, but softer and melts in your mouth."

Gojo Satoru couldn't quite imagine what it would taste like. He looked at the brain with a mouth with great interest, as if he were looking at some novel ingredient.

Xia Youjie's lips twitched. He decided to skip the topic. He looked at the brain flower carefully for a while and said, "It doesn't seem to be a cursed spirit."

Gojo Satoru's mind clicked, and he eagerly said, "Jie, you should try to subdue it. We'll know if it's a cursed spirit once we try."

Xia Youjie hesitated, mainly because the brain flower resembled a human brain, even though it had a mouth on it. But urged on by Gojo Satoru and under the curious gaze of Tsurumi Kawaru, Xia Youjie reached out and tried to use a spell on the brain flower.

"No, this isn't a cursed spirit." Seeing that the spell had no effect, Xia Youjie couldn't tell whether he was more disappointed or relieved.

Tsurumi Kawakami was also somewhat surprised: "Eh, if it's not a cursed spirit, could it really be a brain?"

The trio fell silent at the question, after all, a person can't be without a brain, and no one's brain would have a mouth full of sharp teeth.

After a minute of silence, they began to discuss how to deal with this rather abnormal mind.

Gojo Satoru was somewhat disappointed that Natsume Yuuki couldn't subdue the brain, and looked up at Tsurumi Kawaru: "Kawaru, what are you going to do with this brain?"

Tsurumi Kawakami paused for a moment, stared at the brain for a while, and said, "Since it's not a cursed spirit, it's probably some kind of curse master. Let's take it back and show it to Shoko. Shoko should like it."

Thinking of all the strange and wonderful little things in Ieiri Glass's dissection room, Tsurumi Nagaru had a feeling that she would like this brain too.

Both Gojo Satoru and Natsume had no objections. Considering the brain was about 80% cooked, and in order to take it back, they searched the basement and found a glass jar.

Tsurumi Kawakami, holding the glass jar, looked at the male corpse preserved in formalin and suddenly suggested, "Let's decorate that too."

He pointed to the formalin, and the trio stood in front of the glass cylinder, staring at the male corpse inside—the male corpse looked to be around twenty-five or twenty-six years old, very young, and quite good-looking.

“Let’s not take this body,” Gojo Satoru said, pointing to the male corpse preserved in formalin. “I wonder who was so unlucky.”

Xia Youjie glanced at it through the glass a few times, "Why don't we just destroy it? I don't know what Brain used it for."

Tsurumi Kawakami nodded in agreement, so the group first put the soft, somewhat idiotic brain into a jar, and then put some formalin into the jar.

Returning from the basement to the bright outdoors, Tsurumi Kawakuri felt as if he hadn't seen the light of day in a long time.

Not far from the residential building, Fu Heishener, dressed in a black T-shirt, stood by a street lamp. When he saw them come out, he pointed to the black car parked next to him.

The three walked forward and got into the car. Fukushiro glanced in the rearview mirror, noticed the glass jar Tsurumi Kawaru was holding, raised an eyebrow, and said in a low voice, "What is this thing?"

He didn't ask what happened in the basement, but when he saw that somewhat strange and terrifying brain, he couldn't help but ask one more question.

To let him see more clearly, Tsurumi Kawakami held the glass jar up in both hands and said, "It's a medium-cooked pig brain, but it's a bit strange that it has a mouth."

He recounted the story of the brain parasitizing Kamo Norihiro, and also mentioned Matsumoto Saburo, who died in last year's asteroid body incident.

Fuheishen twitched the corners of his mouth, revealing a somewhat wicked smile: "Is that so? They've really rotted away, haven't they? Those old men in the General Headquarters."

Upon hearing his evaluation of the Directors' Department, Gojo Satoru, who shared the same view, gave him a rare look of agreement.

It was already 4 PM when they returned to the vocational high school. Tsurumi Kawaru, carrying the jar, went with Gojo Satoru and the others to the school clinic to find Iori Glass. On the way back, he kept observing the brain inside the jar. It seemed that the brain had been severely injured by the anti-armor in the basement, as it hadn't shown any reaction the entire way.

Tsurumi Kawa was a little worried, afraid that the gift would die before it even reached Irishige's hands, and that she definitely wouldn't like it.

With this worry in mind, Tsurumi Kawaru looked down at the seemingly dead brain in the jar and couldn't help but shake it. The pink brain, lubricated by formalin, slammed against the glass like jelly and then snapped.

"You're back, wait a minute. What's that you're holding, Naru?" Ieiri Shoko was standing by the window smoking. She greeted them when she saw them return, but her eyes caught sight of the glass jar in Naru's hand, and her gaze suddenly stopped.

Tsurumi Kawaru stepped forward with the jar in his arms, then held it up and handed it to Ieri Shoko: "It's a brain! We caught the mastermind, this is it! We brought it back because we thought Shoko would like it."

Ieiri Glass wasn't alarmed by the contents of the glass jar; instead, she showed interest. She took the jar, smelled the familiar formalin odor, raised an eyebrow, and said, "It contains formalin."

Tsurumi Kawakami nodded and recounted the entire experience of the arrest operation to her, with Gojo Satoru and Natsuyuki helping to supplement what he had learned.

Ieiri Glass: "Looking at it this way, you guys have quite a lot of experience."

After chatting for a few more minutes, Ieiri Shoko couldn't wait to dissect the brain in the jar, and the trio, also curious, followed her.

"Strictly speaking, this is a human brain, although it's a bit strange to have a mouth." Ieiri Shoko cut a small piece of tissue and placed it under the microscope. "But why does this brain look a bit like it's been roasted?"

Tsurumi Kawakami touched the tip of his nose and looked away somewhat guiltily.

Gojo Satoru: "That's right. This thing is parasitizing Kamo Norihiro's brain. It targeted Ryu to parasitize him, but it was countered by Ryu's anti-armor technique, and then it turned into this medium-well-cooked state."

Shoko Ieiri's eyes lit up, focusing on the parasitism. She turned to look at the others and said, "This thing doesn't seem like a cursed spirit. Since it can parasitize a person's brain, it's very likely that the parasitism is the opponent's magic technique."

Xia Youjie nodded, his expression somewhat serious: "Yes, that's what we thought too. I tried using my technique on it for testing, but it failed."

Tsurumi looked around, scratched his cheek, and said with some confusion, "But can a person live without a brain?"

Although it grew a mouth, which we can assume is a side effect of the procedure, how can a person live without a brain?

This question stumped Iori Shoko. Gojo Satoru, who was standing next to her, seemed to have thought of something and snapped his fingers, saying, "Last year, the General Headquarters took in a child who was a very talented sorcerer. Due to the influence of the Heavenly Binding, he was born without a right hand, and also without any part below the knee. I heard that he is extremely fragile and cannot even be exposed to moonlight. He can only live in something like an incubator for babies."

Tsurumi Kawakami paused, then said hesitantly, "But it's still different from being brainless, isn't it?"

After thinking calmly for a while, Ieiri Shoko put forward a conjecture: "Perhaps it is a side effect of the procedure. After all, if it is a brain parasite, the body should be able to live like a vegetable."

The group chatted about brains, and it was unclear whether the brains were too badly injured, as they didn't react at all when Ieiri Shoko was studying them. However, just in case, Ieiri Shoko still took some precautions.

"Is this alright?" Tsurumi Kawaru looked at the sliced brain with some hesitation.

Without a tremor in her hand, Ieyasu Koko replied, "No problem, I've already finished all the lessons on my own."
