Robbery of learning and questioning
The dark red light vanished in a flash.
Chuuya Nakahara, whose wrist was grabbed, looked shocked. Before he could react, Tsurumi Ryu seized the opportunity, grabbed his collar, and slammed him to the ground.
With a loud bang, the dust crushed on the ground flew into the air, blurring the vision. All that could be heard was Dazai Osamu's encouragement and the muffled thuds of fists hitting the gun.
When the smoke cleared, Chuuya Nakahara, clutching his stomach, leaned against the wall in a somewhat disheveled state.
He glared fiercely at Tsurumi Kawakami and Dazai Osamu, raised his hand to wipe the blood from the corner of his lips, and the stinging pain from touching the wound made him frown in annoyance.
"You two bastards, I was careless this time, but I won't lose to you again next time!"
Tsurumi Kawa didn't care at all about his threats. But when he heard him say that, he immediately remembered the threats Shirase had made before he ran away when he was robbed, and the words that Nakahara Chuuya had said when he came to the door earlier, which he had ignored.
"You are the King of Sheep?" A hint of doubt appeared in the eyes of the black-haired, golden-eyed boy.
Seeing the genuine confusion in his eyes, Chuuya Nakahara felt a surge of anger and absurdity: "Huh? What are you talking about, you bastard?!"
Tsurumi Kawaru stared at Nakahara Chuuya for a few seconds, then suddenly turned to Dazai Osamu and said, "Is the sheep that the people who robbed us just now were talking about him?"
Dazai Osamu had been suppressing a laugh since earlier, and when he heard Ryu's question, he quickly nodded and said, "I think so."
Seeing him nod in affirmation, Tsurumi Kawa nodded seriously and said to Nakahara Chuuya, "You sheep robbed us first, and now that you've lost, it's our turn."
After saying that, he pulled the still laughing Dazai Osamu to the vigilant Nakahara Chuuya, surrounded him in the middle of the wall, and, imitating Shirase and the others, gave him a free and unrestrained look.
Then, Tsurumi Kawakami said menacingly, "Hand over your wallet."
Dazai Osamu burst out laughing. He looked at Nakahara Chuuya, who was frozen in place and hadn't reacted, and nudged Ryuu beside him with his elbow, saying, "Idiot, since we're robbing him, we don't need to be so polite to him."
After saying that, he demonstrated by directly pressing down on Nakahara Chuuya, then turned to Tsurumi Kawaru in a serious tone and said, "Now you can search his wallet."
Tsurumi Kawaru suddenly realized what was going on and stepped forward, took the wallet out of Nakahara Chuuya's pocket, emptied it of all the money, and then stuffed the empty wallet back into his pocket.
After doing all this, Tsurumi Kawa looked at Dazai Osamu with a clear sense of foolishness in his eyes, as if asking him if what he had just done was right or wrong.
Dazai Osamu couldn't help but chuckle. He released Nakahara Chuuya, walked to his side, patted Tsurumi Ryuu's shoulder with an appreciative look in his eyes, and said with a smile in his eyes, "Hmm, well done."
Chuuya Nakahara, who had been used as a teaching aid and had been completely robbed, finally came to his senses. He touched his empty wallet in his pocket and looked incredulously at the two people dividing the loot in front of him.
But based on what Tsurumi Kawaru said, Nakahara Chuuya roughly understood what had happened to Shirase and the others.
Thinking that the lambs had robbed them on their own initiative, and after being punished, they came back to distort the truth to him, Chuuya Nakahara couldn't help but feel annoyed, and at the same time, he thought of what had happened that morning.
He began to suspect that something similar had happened before, but because of him, Shirase and the others had kept it from him.
Thinking of this, Chuuya Nakahara frowned and decided to ask Shirase and the others when he got back.
He straightened his clothes, which had been disheveled during the fight, and when he looked at Tsurumi Kawakami and Dazai Osamu, his gaze unconsciously swept over the strange bandaged guy.
Chuuya Nakahara looked at Tsurumi Kawakami somewhat awkwardly and said, "Although you say that Shirase robbed you first, as a partner of the sheep, I won't just believe what you say so easily."
He paused, glancing at the money in Tsurumi Kawaru's hand: "Here's the money. If you've cheated me, I will absolutely not let you get away with this!"
After uttering those harsh words, Chuuya Nakahara glared fiercely at Osamu Dazai, shoved him aside, and left.
Dazai Osamu's lips curled down as he watched him leave, muttering unhappily under his breath, "A short, grumpy dwarf."
Just then, the aroma of stewed meat wafted over. Tsurumi Kawaru's eyes lit up. Thinking of Mori Ougai's stewed meat, he stuffed the money he had swindled into his pocket and turned to run towards the clinic.
"Dazai, Dr. Mori's stew is ready!" He called out to Dazai Osamu as he ran back.
Dazai Osamu withdrew his gaze, saw Tsurumi Kawakami Nagare disappear into the distance, and chuckled softly. Then, thinking of Mori Ougai who had been watching earlier, he paused for a moment.
He patted his coat, which had just gotten dusty, and walked slowly toward the clinic.
-
Inside the clinic, which was in complete disarray, three people sat at a table that had not been affected by the wreckage, each with a different expression.
The oblivious Tsurumi Kawa was so focused on the stew that he completely ignored the people sitting on either side of him.
Dazai Osamu glanced coldly at Tsurumi Kawakami, who was engrossed in his meal, as Mori Ougai was being unusually attentive to Baka Ryu.
"Mr. Mori's communication skills are truly remarkable. I'm sure you gleaned quite a bit from that battle just now."
Despite Dazai Osamu's sarcastic remarks, Mori Ougai, now wearing a white coat, remained unfazed. With an elegant and composed smile on his face, he turned the chopsticks that had been used to serve meat to Tsurumi Kawakami and placed the meat into Dazai Osamu's bowl.
Mori Ōgai: "What are you saying, Dazai?"
He said with feigned helplessness, "However, a few rolls of bandage are missing from the medicine cabinet. It seems I need to call ahead and have them send some over."
Dazai Osamu lowered his eyelashes, poked at the meat in his bowl with his chopsticks, ignoring Mori Ougai's veiled threat, but also didn't dwell on the previous topic.
He said indifferently, "Is that so? Then Mr. Sen can ask them for more."
The two's overt and covert conversation went unnoticed by Tsurumi Kawaru. The black-haired, golden-eyed boy, having finished a large bowl of rice, looked up from the bowl.
He patted his somewhat full stomach, his gaze lingering on the plate of stewed meat on the table.
Tsurumi Kawaru glanced at the stew that was still more than half full, then held the bowl... basin, which was much larger than the ones Dazai Osamu and Mori Ougai ate from, and looked to the left with bright eyes.
"Dr. Mori, can I use the broth from the stew to mix with my rice?"
Mori Ōgai glanced at Tsurumi Kawakami's large bowl, nodded with a somewhat unnatural smile, and said, "Of course."
Having received permission, Tsurumi Kawaru happily ran to the kitchen to get rice.
Dazai Osamu watched his carefree retreating figure, raised an eyebrow, smiled at Mori Ougai, and offered a heartless blessing: "I hope Mr. Mori's wallet can still hold up."
From the very beginning, when Mori Ōgai noticed that Dazai Osamu treated Tsurumi Ryū differently, he had the idea of keeping the boy.
When Mori Ōgai later discovered Ryū's special abilities, especially his ability to suppress Dazai Osamu, he felt as if he had struck gold, personally unearthing another diamond that was no less valuable than the previous one.
This made him completely determined to bind the boy named Liu to his name and the benefits he could currently satisfy.
The battle just now not only allowed Mori Ougai to see Tsurumi Kawakuri's strength clearly, but also made progress in his observations over this period of time. Overall, everything is developing in a positive direction.
Mori Ougai smiled as he watched the person mixing rice: "What do you think of that person's strength just now?"
Tsurumi Kawakami looked up and met Mori Ougai's questioning gaze. He paused for a moment before realizing who he was talking about: "Hmm, not bad. He's very strong."
Hearing his evaluation, Mori Ougai's smile deepened: "With such an ability user, Yang can stand out in Leibo Street, but sometimes the survival of an organization cannot be prevented by a powerful ability user."
Tsurumi Kawakuri: "?"
Mori Ougai smiled at him but said nothing.
-
Leibo Street, Sheep Territory.
Chuuya Nakahara returned to the territory where the sheep lived, still injured, and went straight to find Shirase. He wanted to ask him about the robbery that morning, but when he got to the door, he found it ajar and he could hear Shirase talking to others inside.
Chuuya Nakahara frowned, about to push open the door, when he suddenly heard Shirase and the others mention his name, and he subconsciously stopped. He stood outside the door listening to the people inside, his fists clenching tighter and tighter, until he finally exploded when he heard Shirase mention kicking people out that morning.
Chuuya Nakahara suddenly pushed open the door, his azure eyes fixed on Shirase. He walked forward step by step, his heart churning with not only anger but also confusion as to why Shirase had kicked him out.
When Yang was founded, wasn't their original intention to help people like themselves?
When Shirase saw Chuuya Nakahara appear, he felt a moment of panic and fear, but these emotions subsided like a tide when he heard Chuuya's question.
He puffed out his chest and said arrogantly, "Chuuye, I'm doing this for Yang's own good. Those two who want to join us are sickly and cough all the time. They obviously have lung problems. Who knows if they have any infectious diseases? What if they catch something?"
Upon hearing Shirase's words, Nakahara Chuuya was momentarily speechless. Thinking of the two people's sickly appearance, he felt extremely conflicted.
“But you can’t just kick them out.” Nakahara Chuuya thought of the empty room he saw when he went there this morning.
Shirase pursed his lips, not taking his words to heart. As he swung his arm, his injuries reminded him of the matter of asking Nakahara Chuuya to cause trouble for that ability user.
He immediately forgot about kicking people out and started asking about the outcome of Chuuya's matter.
Upon hearing Shirase mention this, Nakahara Chuuya immediately recalled their robbery and, upon questioning Shirase, admitted it without further explanation.
"So what if we robbed first? Isn't this how you survive on Leibo Street? Even if we don't rob, there are other organizations or thugs. Besides, I've already given everyone the stuff I got from the robbery."
After saying that, Shirase looked at Chuuya strangely and asked, "What's wrong with you today?"
Chuuya Nakahara looked at Shirase, who was staring at him with a suspicious expression, and then looked around and found that everyone else thought the robbery was no problem, just like Shirase.
At that moment, Chuuya Nakahara felt a slight wavering in his heart.
But he quickly calmed down. Nakahara Chuuya realized that he couldn't stop Shirase and the others from robbing people, but in order to reduce and avoid such incidents...
Chuuya first gave them a stern warning, then promised to bring more supplies for the sheep.
“Recently, the Mafia have started to act erratically for some reason, and Leibo Street is even more unsafe than before. If you encounter a powerful superhuman again like today, can you guarantee that you will only suffer minor injuries and escape unscathed?”
Shirase wanted to argue, but after hearing what Nakahara Chuuya said, he clearly understood that the unrest in Raihachi Street had become more frequent than before.
So no matter how stubborn and unwilling he was, Shirase couldn't say anything bad about Nakahara Chuuya at this moment, so he could only swallow his anger and agree.
