Chapter 463 I Owe You an Apology

They glanced at Cheng Qing and Liu Shiying, swallowing hard; it was truly terrifying.

They had initially thought the school was there to resolve some student conflict, as the principal had just taken several students away.

I never expected students these days to be so clever; they found the thief in just a few words.

The staff at the dormitory management office acted quickly, and the principal, upon receiving the news, rushed over with several school leaders.

When they found out who the thief was, they were very disappointed.

"Principal, I was wrong. Please don't expel me. I still want to go to school. I've already paid her back. I'll never do it again."

Sun Fenglian didn't care about losing face anymore; she knelt down on the ground and cried pitifully.

"What did you say in the office? You said it was such a waste of your time at our school. I think you should go to the opera class."

“Our school doesn’t need someone like you. We’ll let it go for the sake of the child and not report you to the police, but you can’t stay at our school.”

The principal gave her no further chances. After discussing the matter with several school leaders, they unanimously decided to expel Sun Fenglian.

Since she had already returned the money, we didn't report it to the police, mainly because we were afraid of causing any other negative consequences.

This incident has made them pay more attention to the issues between the two factions, and they feel that it must be resolved as soon as possible, otherwise there will be more trouble later.

After everyone left, the dormitory manager told Sun Fenglian to pack her things and leave quickly, as the school should issue an announcement soon.

"Are you satisfied now? How could you be so vicious? I've already returned the money, why won't you leave me alone?"

"I've been expelled, I have nowhere to go, are you trying to force my daughter and me to die?" Sun Fenglian looked at the people in the dormitory with hatred that itched to bite them.

Junjun was also crying beside him; all he knew was that he and his mother could no longer stay there.

"You are all bad people. You are not allowed to bully my mother. I will ask my father to beat you up."

Junjun rushed forward and started punching and kicking Liu Shiying. He always remembered what his mother had said: she was the easiest to bully in this dormitory.

"Let go, Sun Fenglian, you better control your son, or we'll really call the police. And his father? Didn't you escape? We forgot to ask the principal to investigate your family."

"Maybe all those things you said were lies. If you really wanted to escape, and your family treated you badly, how could your son keep calling for his father?"

Cheng Qing stepped forward to stop Junjun, shielded Liu Shiying behind her, and asked Sun Fenglian, who was crying all the time.

"Jun Jun, come here. I don't know what you're talking about. I'm already like this, and you're still not letting it go."

Sun Fenglian's eyes flickered, and she hurriedly called out to Junjun, who was crying and making a fuss.

She was afraid he would say something else, and she was also afraid that the people in the dormitory would do something else, which she couldn't fight against.

She had just witnessed how capable Cheng Qing was, and if she were to report it to the police, she would be reminded of how powerful the police in Beijing were.

She dared not linger any longer, hurriedly packed her things, and left with Junjun without saying a word.

"They're finally gone. I think Sun Fenglian's story was definitely a lie. We should have told the principal if we had known."

After everyone left, the person whose money had been stolen was still gloating in the dormitory.

Cheng Qing ignored her. Even if Sun Fenglian was lying, what good would it do to tell the principal?

The principal can manage student discipline, but not Sun Fenglian's personal affairs.

Judging from the money Sun Fenglian has and Junjun's attitude towards his father, they might be doing well in the countryside. Sun Fenglian didn't actually run away from home.

She simply doesn't want to go back; she's just abandoning her husband and children. She makes it sound so pitiful because she's planning for her future.

Her husband probably knows nothing. He gave her all the money and cash in the house, hoping she would make a name for herself in Beijing so that the family could be reunited in the future.

"Liu Shiying, I'm sorry. I feel I owe you an apology for my past indifference and for ignoring many things in the past."

Cheng Qing bowed deeply to Liu Shiying.

If she had known about her situation earlier, even if she didn't become friends with her, she would have helped her when people in the dormitory bullied her.

Many times she saw it, but she didn't want to cause trouble, so she pretended not to see it, and even looked down on her because she thought she was weak and didn't know how to fight back.

She hoped that by setting an example, she could deter the other students in the dormitory from bullying her anymore.

Seeing that Cheng Qing had apologized, everyone in the dormitory stood up and sincerely apologized as well, their faces full of shame.

Liu Shiying stared at them in a daze; this was the first time anyone had apologized to her.

From the moment she arrived at Peking University, not only them, but everyone else harbored great disgust towards her.

The same was true for the group before her; she didn't know what she had done to offend anyone, as she had been doing just fine in that dormitory.

But in the end, no one liked her. After the college entrance examination was reinstated and dormitories were reassigned, none of them wanted to share a dormitory with her.

She was moved to a new dormitory, but the people there still disliked her, and she thought that her life would continue like this forever.

It turns out that people are different; some people can be kind to her.

“You did nothing wrong, you didn’t do anything to me.” Liu Shiying looked at Cheng Qing and said this to her.

She understood the apologies from the other girls in the dorm, but she didn't need them. She had never said a single inappropriate thing to them.

At most, I just ignore her. I even poured her a glass of water last time when she had an upset stomach.

Even if it was just once, she might not even remember it, but she knew that she was a kind person, she just didn't like her.

And this time, it was because she stood up that the problem was found so quickly, and her innocence was cleared.

Cheng Qing realized for the first time that Liu Shiying had a beautiful smile; she wasn't ugly at all, and she smiled back at her.

"You don't need to apologize to me. There's no question of forgiveness, and I don't want to forgive you either," Liu Shiying said calmly to the group.

They weren't genuinely apologetic; they were just pitying her, and since they had wronged her this time, they were afraid of gossip.

"What do you mean? We were deceived by Sun Fenglian. And who told you not to tell us? We don't know."

The other people in the dormitory felt very embarrassed seeing her like this.

"Heh." Liu Shiying laughed as she watched them, then lowered her head to tidy up her things.

"Can I sleep next to you from now on?" Originally, Sun Fenglian was next to Cheng Qing, but now that spot is empty.

“Okay.” Cheng Qing was taken aback. She had originally planned to pack her things and go find Su Ti and the others.

"Are you going out?" Liu Shiying had just finished tidying the blankets when she saw Cheng Qing packing her things and getting ready to leave.
