Chapter 1
A little boy about ten years old looked around and ran out from the dark path, away from the street lights, with his head down, and walked a long way until he arrived at a hospital. The hospital was brightly lit and open at night. The child walked in. Without having time to think much, he found a public seat with its back to the door, curled up, hid there, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
After a while, he was awakened by someone.
"Paradise, Paradise?"
The two policemen lowered their heads and looked at him, with expressions of concern and worry, and even a hint of reproach on their faces.
Leyuan opened his eyes, saw them, sat up from his chair, lowered his head, lowered his eyes, his face was pale, and he remained silent.
The policeman sighed and said, "Whatever your parents said and did was definitely for your own good. Why did you run away from home after just a few words?"
The young policeman asked, "Do you remember what happened? If you have been wronged, I can help you. If your parents deliberately bullied you, can you just tell me?"
Leyuan thought expressionlessly, it's useless, even if I get beaten to death and run out of the door and get caught, I will still have to be sent back and beaten again when I get back.
The policeman sighed and said, "You are silent, so there is nothing we can do to help you. It is too late now, you have to go home. I will take you home and you can ride in my car."
Leyuan followed the policeman who held his arm into the car without resistance.
It's not that he doesn't want to run, but he knows he can't run and has nowhere to go.
The police stopped the car and asked Leyuan: "Do you know how to get home? I'll take you there."
Not being refused, the police arrested Leyuan and escorted her to her home. They knocked on the door and said to her, "Your mother will be here to open the door soon. Your family is worried about you. Don't be angry anymore. Go home and have a good sleep at night."
Paradise sneered.
The door opened.
The police left, and a pale arm stretched out from the door, grabbed Leyuan's collar and pulled him in.
Paradise was pulled so hard that I almost bumped my head against the wall. As soon as I entered the house, I squatted in the corner and didn't want to go anywhere.
The hand showed no intention of letting him go and dragged him all the way to the bedroom, with no lights on in the room.
Countless hands and feet were beating him with branches.
He wanted to run, but was tied up with ropes. He wanted to jump off the building, but was pulled back. It seemed like several hours had passed, and it was almost dawn. The sound of swaying branches gradually disappeared, and he lay on the ground like a gasping person.
It wasn't over yet. A hand grabbed Leyuan's ankle and dragged him from the bedroom to the living room. He felt like he was almost suffocating, but he knew that he would definitely not die here because this was not the first time.
He was left in the living room. The lights were suddenly turned on, as if to deliberately dazzle his eyes. They were on for a moment and then turned off again. The living room returned to darkness and silence. He looked around with lifeless eyes. He knew that his parents and sister were standing in this living room.
His eyes gradually adjusted to the darkness, and he clearly saw three pairs of bleeding eyes staring at him, and three miserable white faces laughing wildly in front of him. They looked down at him as if he were a roasted suckling pig coated with honey.
This dream is coming to an end.
There was blood all over the ground, and he was dead.
Paradise wakes up from a nightmare.
A mechanical voice sounded: "Hello, I am the weird role-playing system. I want to bind you as the host. When my host needs to draw cards from my card pool, use the drawn cards to perform weird role-playing. In exchange, you can get everything you want. Do you agree?"
Le Yuan laughed at himself and said, "I agree."
He couldn't sleep tonight. He stood up from the ground and walked to the bathroom. There was a mirror on the wall. He turned on the light and looked at himself in the mirror. He had severe myopia in both eyes, his nose was disfigured by cheap beauty products, and there was a circle of terrible purple marks on his neck. It was like he had hanged himself in a nightmare and died. He woke up and this is what happened after he woke up.
He didn't remember doing such a thing outside of his dreams, but he knew that the marks would heal after a while, because he had jumped to his death in a nightmare before, and after waking up, he found that his whole body was covered with wounds and blood from the fall, but they were all healed before dawn and were completely unnoticeable.
Because I was the only one at home and had a fever in my sleep, he took off his coat and came over, wearing only a short-sleeved shirt. It was clearly visible that there were burn marks on his hands and arms. This was when he accidentally fell in the kitchen when he was in elementary school. There was hot water on his hands at the time, and the hot water poured on his trouser legs, soaking his entire legs. There are still some scars now, but it's okay.
The scar on the leg is barely noticeable.
There is a fresh wound on my cheek, which was caused by something thrown by a classmate at school. It is not serious. There is also a fresh wound on my finger, and a piece of nail almost fell off. It was caused by accidentally pressing on the broken bench when I was adjusting it before class. I bled a lot and it hurts a lot, but it is almost healed. It is just not very convenient for me to write yet.
Bang, bang, bang——
Someone was kicking the door violently.
The park turned on the tap without any response.
A noisy voice sounded outside the door: "Fuck, what are you doing up at night?"
"Why do you care what I do? I'm here to collect debts! What's wrong with paying back debts? What? You want to pay for him? Okay. He owes 8 million, you pay it now and we'll leave now!"
"What could possibly make you owe eight million?"
"His parents lost money gambling and borrowed high-interest loans. They couldn't pay it back, so they ran away with his sister. Before they left, they borrowed money from us to raise the little girl. How come they can't pay back the 8 million?"
"It's not like he owes you money, why are you looking for him?"
"It is only natural that the son should pay for the father's debt. His whole family has run away, so who else should we look for? I don't believe that his family knew they couldn't pay back the debt, and if they didn't keep him around on purpose, I wouldn't believe it."
"What can he do?"
"A person can be sold for tens of millions when alive, and even tens of millions more when dead. If we add up all the money, we might be able to get 100 million. Why can't we pay back the money?"
"That's against the law!"
"So he should be secretly happy that we didn't drag him away and sell him off! Maybe he bought this house on credit, and he lives in this house, so why shouldn't he be considered to owe us? He should pay it back! Even if he can't pay it back now, he will have to pay it back someday. Get out of here, you nosy people, and stop making fun of me. What can you do? You don't have the money or the people, and you're just wasting my time, aren't you?"
There was another round of ping-pong.
From the sound, the door was about to collapse.
Paradise returned to the dark and slightly quiet sleeping place and asked the system: "Can I draw a card now?"
The system said: "Yes."
Paradise drew the first card.
A man with a black hat, black hair, white clothes, and a white mourning stick longer than his arm, is bending over and crying with his hands covering his face. Next to him is a black and red coffin, and beside him are countless shadowy figures of mourners. The background is the desolate and withered earth, and in the distance there are dense forests. Crows can be vaguely seen flying, and more mournful cries can be heard. It seems that there is another group of mourners walking on the road.
[Card: Crying Stickman
Introduction: Wear white when attending a funeral, wear black when not attending a funeral, carry a mourning stick with you, and hit whoever you point at, hate to see people laughing at a funeral, hit whoever you see, have a chance to explode at a funeral or next to a corpse, scold the unfilial son, the scolded person will 100% cry, 70% yell, 50% faint, 20% have nightmares]
When Le Yuan touched the card, he felt a chill all over his body and instantly became a crying stick man on the card.
I only heard a bang nearby, and Leyuan's body lay limply on the ground. Because there was not even a carpet on the ground, his head hit the ground pretty hard when it fell, and I don't know if there will be a bump afterward.
Leyuan reached out his hand and touched the back of his head. It seemed that there was no bump. He used the body of the Crying Stick Man to place his original body flat on the floor, covered him with the quilt, retracted his hand, moved away from the low bed curtain, stood up, walked to the door, and hung his fingers near the door handle.
The system prompts: "To play a card, you need to appear in front of others. The system collects scare points. The more scare points, the more energy, and the more likely the host is to get what he wants."
Leyuan listened to the sound of the door frame shaking, was silent for a while, and suddenly asked: "Appearing on other people's screens also counts as appearing in front of others, right? If I broadcast live, can I expand the scope of collecting scare points? The more people who see me, the more people I can scare, the more scare points and energy I will have, and the date I get what I want will be earlier?"
System: “Yes.”
As soon as Paradise got the answer, he walked through the door of his residence and tried to open the live broadcast as requested by the system.
The system opened a late-night live broadcast that randomly appeared on the mobile phone screens of people who were awake late at night.
Leyuan stood in front of the muscular men, who were debt collectors who came to knock on the door.
They are strong and big, and look very intimidating. Even if the park doesn't return the money, they will definitely not dare to run away when they see these people.
Because once the entrance to the park was blocked, the debt collectors said, "We have people everywhere. You can escape once, but you can't run away forever. We will catch you back sooner or later, and by then there will be more people to deal with you than just these people. If you want to be beaten up by them, just run, the farther the better."
Leyuan thought about the past. His memory was a little confused, but his emotions were always consistent. He picked up the crying stick and hit these people on the head. There were only banging sounds and people were lying on the ground at the door.
Leyuan felt that knocking these people was not enough, so he rushed into the houses of those who had closed their doors and knocked everyone he could find with a stick.
Some people started crying, some started shouting, some people lay on the ground and fell into a coma, and the whole building was in chaos.
I won’t sleep tonight.
