Chapter 60
Everyone walked to the wall, and sure enough, there was a sign hanging there. Inside the sign was a map of the building, including the corridor. Although the winding lines looked like a maze, Kohaku became energetic once she had hope. She clenched her fists and held the gun tightly, and said to everyone, "Let's go now!"
Hope to get out.
You can definitely get out.
Lan Bai and Zhong Ren nodded.
They came to the corner of a staircase, where there was a white wall. A part of the wall was facing the staircase at the corner. On that wall was pasted the kind of couplets that most people would put on their doors. It was a red background with black writing. The top read "Welcome", the left side read "Die early and be reborn soon", and the right side read "Attract wealth, fortune, prosperity and longevity".
Hong Bai couldn't help but touch the back of her head, feeling that something was wrong. She looked at Lan Bai and asked, "Is this really the place?"
Lan Bai said: "You also saw that picture, do you still remember it?"
Hongbai whispered, "I remember."
She looked at the wall in front of her, and felt around for a while, but couldn't find a door to get out. She was about to collapse, so she looked at Jongin and asked, "Can you come over and help me? I remember you opened a door last time and let us get out of the room."
Jongin was silent for a moment, nodded, walked over to check, shook his head again, and whispered, "I can't find it. Maybe it's not here, but somewhere else."
Hongbai stared at Jongin and asked, "If not here, where is it?"
Jongin shook his head: “I don’t know.”
Hongbai clenched his fist and smashed it against the white wall beside him, gritting his teeth and saying, "Damn it! You don't even know what to do at this point. Is there nothing you can do?"
She is considering it.
There was a sound coming from the bottom of the stairs, it was the sound of a cat, followed by screams, and a series of footsteps. In short, hearing these mixed sounds, they all remembered the rules before entering the room, and their faces changed at the same time.
They broke into a run.
The sound below caught up.
They were forced to the top of the rooftop and had no choice but to lock the door. They backed away quickly, with fear mixed with calmness and panic hidden in the calmness. They walked to the edge of the rooftop and looked down. There was something like a lever lying across the middle. If they jumped down from here and encountered the lever halfway, they would be dead.
The door was about to be broken open. They didn't know what was behind the door, but they were sure that a normal cat would not have the strength to break the well-locked roof door.
Hongbai looked up at the top of her head. It looked like the sky, but in her heart she thought it was a glowing ceiling.
She pulled out the gun, pointed it at her temple, and pulled the trigger.
There was a thud, and she fell backwards to the bottom floor.
There was another sharp cry, like a meow, and the red and white corpse fell to the ground and was eaten by a cat.
The sky suddenly brightened, and Lanbai almost thought that he was going to leave the cafeteria like this. However, after the light, nothing happened. He lowered his head to look downstairs, and found that the red and white corpse and the cat were gone. Looking not far away, the heavy door that was shaking was quietly leaning against the wall, and in the process of remaining silent, a gap opened.
Lan Bai walked over and found that the door could be opened easily, but it still took a lot of effort to close it.
He pushed the door open with great force, gritting his teeth, his face flushed, and his neck seemed to be twice as thick as before.
Jongin said, "Why bother? This door didn't hurt you."
Lan Bai loosened his hand, and the door fell to the ground with a loud bang, almost hitting Zhong Ren. Lan Bai did it on purpose. He looked at Zhong Ren with a provocative look, and Zhong Ren looked at him expressionlessly. He retracted his gaze, turned around and left. He quickened his pace and walked down the stairs, wishing he could fly, but then he accidentally fell forward, rolled around and around, and landed on the flat ground.
He spat out a mouthful of blood, his expression looked confused, and when he moved, his expression turned into pain.
He was broken but still able to move.
Jongin came down slowly from behind, stood beside him and asked, "Can you still stand up?"
Lan Bai endured the pain and said, "Okay."
Jongin nodded, walked around him, and said to him, "Then walk slowly. I won't wait for you. If you come down, you may see me at the door of the nearby store."
This seems like a joke.
But Lan Bai remembered it, slowly went downstairs and went to the grocery store to check. He was shocked to find a huge octopus inside.
The octopus didn't notice him, and didn't chase him out. He held his breath and carefully left the shop. He walked outside, feeling unsafe anywhere. He quickened his pace to walk farther. Suddenly, he saw a shadow behind him. He was startled and turned around to see that it was Jongin. He asked with wide eyes, "What's wrong with you?"
Jongin pointed in a direction, which was a cafe: "Let's talk over there."
Lan Bai took a look and nodded doubtfully.
Jongin walked in front and Lan Bai walked behind, and they quickly entered the coffee shop which had no locked door. It was pitch dark inside, but the decoration was originally arranged in an ambiguous way, so it was a little dark but did not make people feel very spacious. The two of them could use the darkness to hide without arousing any suspicion.
After Lanbai entered, they fell silent, as if there were no more problems.
Jongin opened a small cubicle and invited him in. He went in.
There was a sofa in the compartment. Lan Bai sat on it and looked at Zhong Ren and asked, "Don't you feel any pain?"
Jongin asked, "How long have I known them?"
Lan Bai asked: "Aren't we companions?"
Jongin replied, “We are companions now.”
Blue and White were obviously more distressed than before and asked: "Why did this happen? Why are we being treated like this?"
Jongin said, “I don’t know, but we can ask after we get out.”
Lan Bai raised his head suddenly: "Do you still think we can go out?"
Jongin said, “Maybe, this isn’t a fixed thing.”
Lan Bai stared: "Impossible."
He lowered his head and murmured, "Impossible."
Tears suddenly flowed from his eyes.
The tears that fell to the ground looked like crushed pearls.
The blue and white therefore appear a bit pitiful.
However, Jongin remained indifferent, and there was a knock on the door.
"We have found the way home. Come with us home."
Outside the door were the sounds of red and white and yellow and white.
Soon after, Jongin’s voice was heard from outside: “I’m outside, open the door quickly, the guy inside must be a fake, don’t believe him, don’t believe anything, not a single word. He’s a fake, a fake will definitely hurt you, but I won’t, I’m your companion…”
When he heard the word "companion", Lan Bai stood up suddenly and looked at Zhong Ren, who smiled at him.
Lan Bai whispered, "I know the one outside is fake because you are different from it."
Jongin nodded.
Judging from his expression, he probably meant, "So you already knew it," or, "Since you already know it, I won't say more."
But he said nothing.
Lan Bai asked: "What will happen if we open the door now?"
Jongin shook his head: “I don’t know.”
Lan Bai walked over and opened the door, and he disappeared all of a sudden, as if he had been caught and taken away by a lot of mice.
The mice didn't take Jongin away, maybe because Jongin didn't open the door, maybe because Jongin was inside the room and they didn't notice him, or maybe they were not interested in a second prey because they had already caught one this time.
The police arrived at the cafeteria entrance. They saw Jongin standing there and walked over to him in surprise and said, "Why are you here?"
Jongin looked at them and answered, "I came to take a look. I have a friend who has been here before."
The policeman nodded doubtfully, glanced at the rules sign on the door and asked, "Do you understand these things too?"
Jongin shook his head: “I don’t know.”
The police frowned in confusion: "You don't plan to go in?"
Jongin said, "No, I want to rest, maybe go to the dormitory, maybe go to the teaching building. I came here to visit, but if it's not suitable, I will go home."
The police nodded and said, "Okay, go ahead. We need to go in for a bit."
Jongin nodded and went to the dormitory building.
It was still very dark.
Jongin walked to the door of the dormitory building. There were two people standing at the door. One was wearing glasses and the other was carrying a basketball. They saw Jongin and thought he was a stranger. They waved at him and asked, "You don't live here, do you?"
Jongin nodded.
"We are here for a visit, too. How about we go in together? One person cannot live in a dormitory alone, but we can stay together for one night. We will leave tomorrow."
"Can."
They entered the dormitory building, and the dormitory manager assigned them a room and asked, "Do you want a key? The key can open the door, but there is only one. If you want more, you must go out of school and find a locksmith to make a copy. You must give it to me when you leave, so that someone with bad intentions won't take the key back and cause trouble."
The dormitory manager speaks with an accent, and he makes trouble sound like a death threat.
The faces of Glasses and Basketball did not look good, one was slightly pale and the other was slightly green. I didn't know if it was because of the sky or the lights not far away.
"When will you die?"
A passing student asked his classmates.
When Eyeglass heard this, he jumped and turned around to look. Everyone else thought he was weird and also looked at him. His face turned red all of a sudden and he felt very embarrassed, awkward and unnecessary, and he looked vaguely angry.
The dorm manager took his hand back and said, "Forget it."
