Ji Qian learned about this when she was in the orphanage. Back then, a ghost selling stinky tofu appeared out of nowhere and would hawk it outside the wall every day.
This was nothing unusual until one day the ghost found a megaphone.
During that period, Ji Qian's dreams were filled with the cries of "Freshly cooked, golden and crispy stinky tofu!"
Ji Qian endured it for three whole months, but the stinky tofu vendor became increasingly arrogant as no one paid him any attention.
The final straw that broke Ji Qian's back was that he summoned two other ghosts.
The two new ghosts were selling tofu and soy milk, respectively. The three ghosts started a non-physical soy product industry chain outside the sales home, relying on a megaphone.
Finally, on a dark and stormy night, Ji Qian, unable to bear it any longer, dragged Xu Qi, who was less than a meter tall at the time, over the wall and punished the three brothers who were running an unlicensed bean product business.
However, after many years, Ji Qian is no longer the violent person she used to be. She has now learned to solve problems with wisdom.
Ji Qian tied up the loudspeaker, handed the rope to Han Mengyao, and then ran upstairs to install another loudspeaker.
Mr. Qian was still waiting for a reply, but when Ji Qian finally returned, she completely ignored him and even hung a strange-looking thing in front of him.
Mr. Qian expressed his displeasure at this, and in a fit of anger... he became angry.
There's no way around it; they say old people become shrewd, and ghosts are pretty much the same. When Master Qian first met Ji Qianjiu, he had a gut feeling that the other party was no good.
Not to mention that he still needs Ji Qian's help, so he can only let Ji Qian do whatever she wants to him.
During the installation, due to the cramped space, Ji Qian accidentally hit Mr. Qian several times. Mr. Qian was so angry that he almost ground his teeth to powder, but he had no choice but to endure it when he thought of his wife whom he had not seen for many years.
After struggling for more than ten minutes, Ji Qian finally tied the last knot. She breathed a sigh of relief, then ran to the corridor and shouted downstairs:
"Upstairs is all tied up! Let's test it out by talking downstairs!!"
The old lady at the door was completely bewildered when she heard this; the word "test" didn't exist in her time.
Han Mengyao, who was standing to the side, noticed the old lady's confusion and reminded her, "Just call out Mr. Qian's name towards that thing in front of you."
Han Mengyao didn't know that although the old lady didn't understand the meaning of the test, she actually recognized the loudspeaker.
Unlike Mr. Qian, who was always confined to his house, the old lady, because she was hanging at the gate of the mansion, saw many novelties.
For example, the old lady saw a bald, fat man surnamed Liu use this horn.
The fat man was standing right next to her when he suddenly raised his voice, scaring her so much she almost died again.
However, the old lady wasn't in the mood to explain this to Han Mengyao right now, because...
"Erniu, is that you?"
The woman's aged voice carried upstairs through the loudspeaker. Although it was inevitably somewhat distorted, Mr. Qian, who was hanging from the beam, was still moved to tears.
Seeing that the old man hadn't spoken for a while, Ji Qian thought he didn't know how to use the megaphone, so she hurriedly instructed him, "Just say what you want to say, she can hear you."
Mr. Qian was so emotional that he could hardly speak. Only when Ji Qian reminded him did he seem to snap out of his daze, and he hurriedly spoke, his voice trembling with barely suppressed emotion:
"Shuqin, are you... alright?"
The sound reached downstairs, and Mrs. Qian, who hadn't heard her husband's voice for many years, also shed tears.
[My goodness, who's going to cry their eyes out in the middle of the day?]
At this moment, a woman as majestic as an eagle shed tears.
They were a couple who had grown old together, yet they were never to see each other again, neither in life nor in death.
[Waaaaah, I came here to surf the internet, not to visit a grave!]
[Where's the comedy variety show we were promised? Waaaaaah!]
Every ghost you fear is someone else's longing.
Seeing that the two ghosts had begun to communicate normally, Ji Qian also made her retreat, taking the paper and pen she had prepared in advance and going downstairs to meet up with the others.
Considering that the elderly couple's conversation might contain clues, Ji Qian decided to leave someone behind to record their conversation.
However, they had a slight disagreement on who should stay.
First, Miyesi volunteered to stay here.
She had never encountered any paranormal events before. Before participating in the show, she even went to have her fortune told. The blind fortune teller said that she had a strong destiny, and ordinary ghosts would have to avoid her.
Mi Yesi then agreed to record the show, hoping to create a romantic pairing with Xu Qi. However, just two days into the recording, her fortune telling failed her.
These past two days, she was first possessed, and then she saw ghosts one after another. She felt really bad and didn't plan to compete for any more screen time. She just wanted to stay here and be a quiet, laid-back person.
Most people wouldn't volunteer for a job like this that doesn't get much screen time, but Mi Yesi felt confident she had it in the bag.
Unfortunately, Mi Yesi did not expect that Xu Yaojin would suddenly appear out of nowhere.
Upon hearing Mi Yesi's words, Xu Qi, worried that he couldn't compete with her, gritted his teeth and knelt down before Ji Qian with a "thump".
Ji Qian, who had just been staring at Mi Yesi, was instantly drawn to him. She looked down and saw Xu Qi holding a handkerchief he had somehow gotten his hands on, pretending to wipe away tears from the corners of his eyes.
Xu Qi has played this role more than once since he was a child, and Ji Qian is already immune to it.
Just as Ji Qian was about to tell Xu Qi to give up, she saw Xu Qi pinching his pinky finger and lightly parting his lips... He actually started singing Peking Opera!
[I never knew Xu Qi had this kind of skill!]
