“No need to emphasize it, I know my name,” Li Huai said, glancing sideways.
Zhao Qinglan couldn't help but tremble a few times.
She was really afraid that Li Huai would overdo it and send his own father to the hospital.
However, it was also very satisfying.
Even if one is not entirely clear about the conflict between Li Huai and his father, judging from Li Zhenhua's attitude, the relationship between the father and son is unlikely to improve.
"I'm not talking to you anymore," Li Zhenhua said angrily.
He'll just sit here and wait for his two beloved grandsons to come back.
There's no point in talking to someone you don't click with, and Li Huai just didn't want to talk to him anyway.
After arguing with his father, he looked at his wife with a hint of worry.
Zhao Qinglan returned his smile with a reassuring one.
Even if Li Huai didn't come, she wouldn't let herself suffer any loss; she was just about to retort.
However, judging from Li Huai's infuriating attitude, we won't need her for the time being.
Ignoring Li Zhenhua sitting inside, Li Huai and Zhao Qinglan went to the inner room.
As soon as he entered, Li Huai lowered his voice and asked.
Are you alright?
"Don't worry, what could possibly happen to me? Your dad isn't going to eat me."
"Did he say anything else unpleasant?" Li Huai asked, still worried.
"It's nothing, I was just saying that, and here you are back," Zhao Qinglan said with a smile.
"That's good, but don't spoil him," Li Huai instructed.
She will absolutely not indulge him anymore!
After watching the couple go inside, Li Zhenhua snorted coldly from outside.
"It'll be lunchtime soon. We've come all this way, we should at least treat you to a meal, right?" she asked.
"You can do whatever you want. If he likes to eat, he can eat; if he doesn't, he can leave," Li Huai said irritably.
"Okay, I'll do as you say."
Once outside the house, Zhao Qinglan ignored her father-in-law, Li Zhenhua, and went straight to cook.
Li Huai was also quite amusing. He went outside and picked up the junior high school textbook that Zhao Qinglan was currently studying to read.
Although he had excellent grades when he was in school, he had been out of school for quite some time, so there were some things he still needed to review.
I told my wife that if she doesn't know something, she should ask me. But if she actually asks him and he can't answer, wouldn't that be awkward?
Li Zhenhua felt uneasy as his wife and son ignored him.
However, he couldn't bring himself to lower his head and speak first.
Fortunately, Da Wa and the others returned at this critical moment.
Xiao Duo ran over and handed the salt to her mother who was cooking.
The eldest and second children were beckoned over by their grandfather, Li Zhenhua.
"Are you cold?" he asked with concern.
"It's not cold," the older child replied.
Erwa had already swept into the house like a gust of wind.
"Dad, you're back!" Erwa exclaimed with a hint of surprise.
Why does it seem like Dad is coming home earlier than before?
Li Zhenhua looked at his eldest grandson with a kind and amiable expression.
"How about we go to Grandpa's for Chinese New Year?"
The eldest child was a little stunned and didn't say anything. He looked directly at his father, who was sitting not far away.
Li Huai naturally heard what Li Zhenhua said.
Seeing his son looking over, Li Huai said directly, "Then there's no need. Our family will be spending the New Year together, so we won't bother you."
In his view, Li Zhenhua, Yu Huimin, and Li Weicai are now a family.
Why should he bring his family over to suffer humiliation during the Lunar New Year?
Upon hearing Li Huai's answer, Li Zhenhua's veins bulged.
"Li Huai, what do you mean?!"
He calmed down a bit because his grandson was there.
"Just what you understand it to mean." Was he wrong? Ever since that woman Yu Huimin entered the house, that home has never been his home again.
“I was talking to my grandson, not you,” Li Zhenhua said indignantly.
"I'm sorry, your grandson is still a child and can't make the decision."
Li Huai spoke the most infuriating words in the calmest tone.
It's just that Zhao Qinglan was cooking at the big stove outside and couldn't hear it, otherwise she would have definitely laughed out loud.
How come she never noticed before that Li Huai was so talented at making people angry?
Da Wa's impression of Li Zhenhua, his grandfather, was just so-so; he neither liked nor disliked him.
Now that his father had said that, he naturally knew he shouldn't go, and added insult to injury, "I'm not going."
It happened to follow Li Zhenhua's statement.
Even Li Huai couldn't help but applaud his incredibly capable son.
However, Li Zhenhua did not give up and looked directly at his grandson to ask again.
"Erwa, would you like to visit Grandpa's house during the Chinese New Year?" His tone was as gentle as could be.
If neither Dad nor Brother is going, then Stepmother definitely won't go either.
This grandpa was reluctant to bring him any delicious food or fun toys.
He might as well stay at home; at least he can eat his stepmother's cooking.
Therefore, Erwa shook his head firmly. "I'm not going either."
If Li Zhenhua were to be labeled as "reluctant" and unwilling to visit his home simply because he didn't bring his grandson any food, he would probably spit out a mouthful of blood.
It wasn't that he was reluctant to part with his grandson; he was simply careless and too eager to see him, so he didn't think of it.
Actually, it's also his fault for marrying an unreliable wife.
Otherwise, if Da Wa's biological grandmother were still alive, she would have thought of him coming to see her own grandson.
They probably send their grandson delicious food and fun toys quite often.
Li Zhenhua's expression immediately fell. His grandson also refused.
Li Huai saw it, but he wouldn't soften his heart just because of it.
Now that they want to see their grandson, they'll let them go back home for the New Year.
What about all that he endured before? What does that even mean?
