Chapter 170 Blushing Help

Because she was exhausted from childbirth, Zhao Qinglan fell asleep quickly after being admitted to the ward.

The newborn baby was lying next to her.

Seeing that her daughter and grandson were both safe and sound, Mrs. Sun couldn't stop smiling.

The eldest daughter just gave birth to a big, healthy baby boy for her son-in-law, and now she's firmly established herself in the family.

“Son-in-law, Xiaoduo and the others are still at home. You should go home. I will take care of Qinglan here,” said Madam Sun.

"Mom, is this okay? Why don't I stay and you go home and rest?" Li Huai asked hesitantly.

"Just go back when I tell you to. You don't have as much experience as me in taking care of children."

Li Huai glanced around the ward and saw that there was indeed no extra room to stand. He then looked at his wife and youngest son before reluctantly leaving.

When Li Huai drove home, he was surprised to see Wu Mei, who was guarding his house, back with him.

"Qinglan has already given birth?"

"Yes, she gave birth, and both mother and child are safe." Li Huai was happy when he mentioned this.

"That's great! I was thinking of taking the soup I've cooked to the hospital tomorrow morning, but it looks like I need to start cooking it now."

"Sister-in-law, it's so late, you should rest too. Tell me what kind of soup you want to make, and I'll make it."

"Can you do it?" Wu Mei looked him over with a skeptical expression.

"Sister-in-law, just tell me how to do it."

Okay, Wu Mei explained the method to him in detail.

Fortunately, we have plenty of food stored at home. We just bought some more a couple of days ago, so we don't have to worry about not having anything to make soup or anything.

Still worried, Wu Mei watched for a while longer, making sure Li Huai put the ingredients into the pot, before going home.

If it weren't so late, she would have gone to the hospital immediately to visit Zhao Qinglan and the child.

When Zhao Qinglan and the others left, the three children couldn't sleep because they were worried, but by the time Li Huai returned from the hospital, they had all fallen asleep.

After the soup was simmering, Li Huai sat on the side without going back to his room to rest.

Thinking of his wife and children sleeping soundly when he left, his heart was filled with warmth.

By the way, my youngest son has been born. What should I name him?

Thinking about it, he quickly pulled out the dictionary at home and started reading it page by page.

Erwa and his older brother and sister were drawn in by the aroma of the soup.

Erwa thought he was dreaming about something delicious, and kept smacking his lips.

The older child, annoyed by his noise, pushed him away.

As soon as Erwa woke up, his nose twitched and his eyes lit up.

"Brother, they're making something delicious outside."

By the time the three of them left, the soup would be almost ready.

"Dad, what delicious food are you making?" Erwa licked his lips.

Li Huai was already numb to his second son's gluttony and said speechlessly, "This soup is for your mother, there's no share for you. It's so late, you should go to sleep."

This soup is for my wife to help her produce milk; it can't be given to the children so casually.

Erwa was very disappointed to hear that he could not taste it.

Da Wa finally remembered Zhao Qinglan.

"Dad, how is Mom?"

Xiao Duo and Erwa both looked over.

“Your mother gave birth to a younger brother for you,” he said with a smile.

"Oh, that's great! I'm a big brother now!" Erwa cheered.

"You all stay home and sleep well, don't run around. I still need to go to the hospital."

"Dad, when can we see Mom and my little brother?" Xiaoduo asked longingly.

"If you behave, I'll take you to the hospital to see your brother tomorrow."

After sending the three children to bed, Li Huai took the soup he had prepared and headed to the hospital.

In the ward, Zhao Qinglan woke up while she was sleeping, because her child was crying.

Mrs. Sun came over, took a look, and said to her daughter, "The baby must be hungry. Why don't you feed the child?"

To be honest, Zhao Qinglan hadn't breastfed in many years, and she wasn't even very skilled at holding a baby.

Seeing her daughter's clumsy manner, Mrs. Sun wondered how her daughter had managed to raise her granddaughter, Xiaoduo, before; she didn't seem like someone who had given birth once.

The child instinctively started sucking as soon as he came close.

But Zhao Qinglan's chest ached from the baby suckling, and no milk came out.

This made both her and Mrs. Sun very anxious, and the baby naturally started crying because he couldn't get milk.

"It's not good to not have milk for so long. Wait, Mom will get you a hot towel to apply."

After Sun finished speaking, she turned around to look for something. When she saw her son-in-law appear at the door, her eyes lit up immediately.

"Oh, you've finally come! Quickly, help Qinglan."

Li Huai was stunned. "Mom, what are you helping me with?"

"Qinglan, give me the child, let your son-in-law help you."

After saying that, she picked up the still crying child and walked to the side with her back to them.

Zhao Qinglan naturally understood what her mother meant by "help".

Although the two had been married for some time, the thought of her mother being nearby while she was asking him to do that kind of thing still made her blush.

Li Huai was completely baffled.

"Qinglan, how can I help you?"

"I don't have any milk. Can you help me, help me rub it?" She finally managed to squeeze out those words.

Li Huai paused for a moment, then approached with a smile.

This is something that he, as the husband, really has to do.

After a while, Zhao Qinglan finally spoke.

"Mom, okay, bring the baby over here."

Only after Zhao Qinglan started feeding the child did Madam Sun ask about it.

"It's so late, why are you here again?" Although you arrived just in time.

"Mom, I made some soup for Qinglan as Sister-in-law Wu Mei taught me."

As soon as you open it, a wonderful aroma wafts out.

Seeing that all the oil had been skimmed out, Mrs. Sun smiled. It was rare to see a son-in-law who could do this much; her daughter was truly blessed.
