Chapter 230 Exceptional Fighting Power to Protect Her Husband

On the second day of the Lunar New Year, neither Zhao Qinglan nor her mother had any family to return to.

However, Sun Guangming insisted that he was their maternal family, so on the second day of the Lunar New Year, he insisted on hosting the whole family for a meal.

Sun Guangming himself couldn't be a chef, but fortunately he had already planned to do this and had made arrangements in advance.

He led Zhao Qinglan and the others to a very secluded courtyard, where the owner prepared a meal to entertain them.

Once everyone had started eating, Sun Guangming began to give a proper introduction.

It turns out that the owner of this courtyard was a descendant of an imperial chef, who used to work at the Grand Hotel in Beijing.

But later the situation didn't go well, so this person quit prematurely and stayed at home.

Now that things are looking up, I occasionally take on some business, which is basically running a private kitchen.

With a descendant of imperial chefs and a private kitchen, Zhao Qinglan knew just thinking about it that this meal wouldn't be cheap.

However, it did taste very good, and she even tasted some dishes that she had never eaten in her previous life.

This meal was absolutely to Erwa's liking, and he even started to fawn over his great-uncle, Sun Guangming.

Sun didn't think too much about it. However, after being married for many years, her family had become a foreign concept to her. Now, being treated so solemnly by her brother, she was moved and her eyes reddened.

While they were having dinner, Li Zhenhua, unable to contain himself, finally came outside the courtyard again.

This time, however, all he found was a large lock on the door.

If Li Zhenhua insisted on going out, there was no way Yu Huimin and her son could stop him.

Fearing that her husband might do something without her knowledge, Yu Huimin insisted on coming along this time, and even said that she wanted to apologize to her stepson, Li Huai.

After much deliberation, Li Zhenhua felt this was a good opportunity to ease tensions and actually brought the person along.

Seeing the large padlock hanging on the door, Yu Huimin was overjoyed, but her words were tinged with regret.

"They're not here, and it's so cold outside. I don't know when they'll be back." The implication was that we should hurry home.

Unexpectedly, Li Zhenhua became stubborn and said, "It's not so cold in the car, so we'll wait in the car."

What else could Yu Huimin say but wait and see?

Zhao Qinglan and the others enjoyed their meal quite a bit. Since the restaurant wasn't too far from their current residence, they didn't take any transportation and walked there together.

The youngest of the three children was carried several times by the adults because he walked too slowly.

During her stay with Zhao Qinglan, Wei Hong also rekindled her relationship with her godson, Sanwa.

Sanwa is a bit lazy, but he is very smart. He can now clearly recognize and call the people close to him.

The group walked back happily and saw the car parked there.

"This car looks familiar," Zhao Qinglan muttered.

Li Huai, who had the best eyesight, gradually turned cold after seeing the car.

Their group was quite distinctive.

Li Zhenhua was dozing off when the guard called out, "The man is back!" He immediately sat up straight.

Beside her, Yu Huimin's body also stiffened.

Li Zhenhua was happy, but she was nervous and on high alert.

Before the person even got close, Li Huai had already gotten out of the car.

He was overjoyed to see his grandsons.

Mrs. Sun didn't remember Li Zhenhua, but judging from her daughter and son-in-law's reactions, she quickly guessed who he was.

Sun Guangming was the calmest. "Li Huai, say what you have to say. If you can't, then we elders are here."

“That’s right, don’t be afraid,” Grandpa Dou added.

"Uncle, you should go back first. I'll stay here."

After saying that, he looked at his wife again. "Qinglan, take the children back. Don't worry."

"Just call out if you need anything."

"good."

He was no longer alone. Seeing so many people who cared about him, Li Huai felt full of strength.

The two children still remembered their grandfather, Li Zhenhua, but because they had a bad impression of him, they overheard the adults' conversation.

When they reached Li Zhenhua, he was about to speak to his grandchildren when the children ran past him.

As for the Sun family, none of them greeted Li Zhenhua with a smile.

Li Zhenhua felt somewhat embarrassed.

As Zhao Qinglan passed by Yu Huimin, she glanced at her.

"So that's all," she thought. "She thought she was such a beautiful woman." Thinking of the photos of her mother-in-law she had seen, she began to sneer at the way her father-in-law, Li Zhenhua, looked at her.

The difference is so huge, I don't know how I was so blind to choose her.

Yu Huimin noticed Zhao Qinglan's glance and was about to speak when Zhao Qinglan had already walked away.

"What are you doing here again?" Li Huai asked impatiently.

"I've come to see the children," Li Zhenhua said truthfully.

"Well, you've seen it now, go back."

"Let me talk to Da Wa and the others," Li Zhenhua pleaded, his tone somewhat humble.

Seeing Li Huai's furrowed brows, he quickly said, "Huimin, didn't you have something to say?"

Perhaps if his son heard his wife's apology, he would be allowed to see his grandchildren.

Even though she was unwilling, Yu Huimin had no choice but to step forward when her husband called her.

She forced a smile and tried to say an apology. "Li Huai, I'm sorry."

Li Huai looked at her coldly, then suddenly laughed. "If you don't want to apologize, there's no need to force yourself. It'll only make everyone uncomfortable."

Yu Huimin's expression froze, and she looked at her husband, her expression revealing a hint of grievance and a desire for help.

In the past, Li Zhenhua would have lost his temper long ago, but this time, he smiled and smoothed things over.

"It's a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding. Huimin came here specifically to apologize to you. She knows she had too many ideas before and did the wrong thing, right, Huimin?"
