When Xiaoduo saw him crying, she immediately panicked and quickly grabbed Zhao Qinglan's hand.
"Mom, Big Brother is crying!"
"No, you're the one who cried." The older child quickly wiped away his tears and denied it.
Zhao Qinglan quickly looked down and saw Da Wa's red eyes. She understood and patted his head without saying anything.
This time, the eldest child didn't refuse or say anything bad.
Qian Hongxia was stunned by Zhao Qinglan's slap.
It took him a moment to come to his senses, and he immediately flew into a rage.
"You wretched woman, I'll fight you to the death!" In all the years she'd lived in the residential area, she'd never suffered such a loss.
Just as Qian Hongxia started to act aggressively, Zhao Qinglan kicked her directly in the knee, causing her to stagger and fall to the ground.
Now the eldest child finally believed Xiaoduo's claim that "my mom is amazing."
"Try cursing or hitting me again," Zhao Qinglan said sternly, pointing at Qian Hongxia who was sitting on the ground.
First a slap, then a kick, and then this fierce threat. Qian Hongxia chickened out and remained silent for a long time.
Seeing that Qian Hongxia had stopped moving, Zhao Qinglan turned around and left with Xiaoduo and Erwa, who had stopped crying because of her previous behavior.
After taking only two steps, Zhao Qinglan turned back.
"What are you standing there for? Go home and have dinner."
"Oh." The older child's feet moved too.
The three children, one adult and three children, walked away hand in hand.
There were other children present, and some of them sighed as they watched Zhao Qinglan leave.
"The new mom of the eldest child is amazing!"
"Isn't that amazing?" some adults thought to themselves, echoing the children's exclamations.
Just now, some people were thinking that if these two really started fighting, they would have to do something about it, but unexpectedly, they didn't fight at all.
"Mom, you're amazing!" Xiaoduo said with a smile.
"How are you so amazing?" Erwa said, looking up from the other side.
"What did you call me?" Zhao Qinglan teased Erwa again.
"Don't think that just because you helped me you'll get me and my brother to call you." The older kid behind him suddenly interjected.
"Hey, Li Yansen, so ambitious?"
The older child straightened his neck even more.
"Since you're so ambitious, don't eat the food I cook later," Zhao Qinglan joked.
The eldest child stopped in his tracks.
However, he only paused for a moment before continuing to walk, even quickening his pace and overtaking Zhao Qinglan and the others.
"It's my food, why can't I eat it? I'll eat it."
"My mom made a really delicious meal!" Xiaoduo quickly shared it with the two of them.
Upon hearing this, Erwa's mouth began to water.
If the breakfast was so delicious, how delicious must the other meals be? Just thinking about it makes his mouth water.
"Let's go, let's go quickly." Erwa couldn't wait to get home.
In his haste, he broke free from Zhao Qinglan's hand and started running. Xiao Duo saw this and chased after him.
The older child's childlike nature began to emerge, and he started chasing after his younger brother.
Watching the three children chasing each other, their laughter filling the air, Zhao Qinglan smiled along with them.
He's happy as long as the children are happy.
Nothing major happens every few days in the family quarters; it's not unusual for kids to get into fights. But it is unusual for these two adults to almost come to blows.
After all, people in the family residential area see each other all the time, so they wouldn't easily resort to violence unless there was some irreconcilable conflict.
Zhao Qinglan slapped and kicked him, and even uttered some harsh words. In a short while, her reputation spread throughout the family area.
No one remembered to figure out who was in the right; they just remembered that Zhao Qinglan was powerful and shouldn't be messed with.
Sun Shengli and Li Huai were walking home chatting and laughing when suddenly someone rushed out in front of them. Li Huai almost kicked her, but luckily he saw in time that it was a woman and pulled his foot back.
"Commander, you have to stand up for me!" Qian Hongxia cried and pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
Sun Shengli and Li Huai were both stunned by this.
It took him a while to recognize the person in front of him.
"You are... Deputy Regiment Commander Yang's wife?"
Because Qian Hongxia's family and Sun Shengli's family did not live together, one was on this side and the other was on that side.
Qian Hongxia and Wu Mei were not close, so Sun Shengli was not really familiar with his wife, only having heard his wife occasionally mention her.
"Yes, it's me, Commander! You have to stand up for me!" she cried again.
This gave Sun Shengli a real headache.
"What's wrong? Did Deputy Regiment Commander Yang bully you?" That was all he could think of for a moment.
Qian Hongxia paused for a moment while crying, then pointed at Li Huai and began to accuse him.
“Deputy Regiment Commander Li’s wife not only scolded me, but also hit me.”
Not only was Sun Shengli stunned, but Li Huai was also shocked.
What the heck? Zhao Qinglan cursed and hit the person in front of her?
No way! Zhao Qinglan seems so sensible, how could she have gotten into a conflict with another military wife so soon after arriving, even hitting and scolding her? His first reaction was disbelief.
Qian Hongxia and Sun Shengli were not familiar with each other, but Li Huai knew a little about them.
He and Deputy Regiment Commander Yang were of the same rank, but their relationship wasn't very harmonious. Qian Hongxia had always been at odds with Zhu Kexin, and he had heard Zhu Kexin complain a lot about how Qian Hongxia was uncivilized, unreasonable, and argumentative.
Zhu Kexin brought these things up hoping he would find the regimental commander and political commissar to give him a reaction.
However, Li Huai thought that if he reported this to the regimental commander, the matter would escalate. As fellow military wives, it was just a quarrel, and everyone should be understanding of each other. If Zhu Kexin and Qian Hongxia didn't get along, they could just keep their distance from each other in the future. There was no need to make a big deal out of it.
