Chapter 333 That's my affection for my wife.

Returning to her hotel room with a pile of spoils, Zhao Qinglan felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction.

It feels so great to go shopping with the whole family. And Shanghai truly lives up to its reputation as a major city second only to Beijing, and in some aspects even surpasses Beijing.

She certainly had her fill of fun, but she exhausted the men in her household.

At first, the children were quite curious, but after walking around for a while, they found it less interesting.

Today's itinerary has also caused great psychological trauma to the third child. In his mind, shopping, especially shopping with his mother, has become one of the most terrifying things.

However, none of them complained to Zhao Qinglan.

Xiao Duo, on the other hand, perhaps out of her own womanly nature, found shopping quite interesting.

The people who bought the most things today were Xiaoduo and her mother.

The eldest brother and his brothers were lying on the bed, practically lifeless, when the phone rang.

The older child kicked his younger brother's bottom. "Go answer the phone."

Overwhelmed by her brother's tyranny, Erwa had no choice but to get up, walk to the phone, and pick up the receiver.

"Hello, who is it?"

"It's me, Cheng Tao. Are you Yan Xun?"

"It's me, Brother Tao." Erwa beamed.

“I’ve called twice today, but no one answered. I thought you might be out, so I’m calling again now.”

"Tao-ge, is there something you need?"

"About inviting you to my house for dinner, I've already told my grandparents, and they said they can come tomorrow, before noon is fine."

"Brother Tao, wait a minute, you should tell my mom instead."

The older brother heard what his younger brother said, and this time he didn't shirk his responsibilities anymore, so he got up and went outside.

Seeing this, Erwa continued chatting with Cheng Tao.

Zhao Qinglan quickly came over and took the phone.

"Cheng Tao is me."

"Aunt Zhao, you can come to my grandpa's house for dinner before noon tomorrow. My grandma said she'll pick you up then."

"Cheng Tao, no need to answer. Just tell me your grandfather's address, and we'll go there ourselves."

One car is never enough to accommodate their family; if someone wants to pick them up, they need two cars, which is too much trouble.

"Okay, I'll tell my grandma and the others."

"See you tomorrow, Cheng Tao."

Goodbye, Aunt Zhao.

After hanging up the phone, Zhao Qinglan went back to her room to discuss it with her husband.

"We're going to Grandpa Cheng Tao's house for dinner tomorrow, shall we take a taxi there?"

"Okay." He replied readily.

"We just need to arrive before noon tomorrow. Let's leave early so we don't get late. Oh, and let's go out and buy some more things tomorrow morning."

You can't visit someone empty-handed.

Today at the department store, she wasn't sure when she would be visiting, so she didn't buy anything to bring. Luckily, she still has time to prepare tomorrow.

Visiting tourist attractions in the morning and shopping in the afternoon, even Zhao Qinglan, who was in high spirits, was quite tired by now.

The big and small animals stayed in the room until it was almost dark, and when they got hungry, they went out to find food.

Yesterday they had a sumptuous local meal, and their stomachs are full of oil and fat, so they didn't go to a fancy restaurant for dinner.

Zhao Qinglan is good at both eating and finding restaurants, and she quickly found a small but very nice restaurant.

The family went inside and sat down around a square table. Zhao Qinglan then carefully looked at the restaurant's specialties displayed on the wall.

This small shop doesn't serve fancy dishes, but rather local delicacies and snacks unique to Shanghai, which suited Zhao Qinglan's taste perfectly.

After asking the children what they wanted to say, she started ordering.

"Four bowls of plain noodles, two bowls of scallion oil noodles, two servings of scallion pancakes, two baskets of steamed buns, and two baskets of pan-fried buns."

There are six people in her family. Her husband and two children all have big appetites, and she's worried that there won't be enough food for them in the end.

"Okay, I'll be right there."

The shop seemed to be run by a family. While waiting, Zhao Qinglan also saw the food on the tables of the other diners.

Erwa swallowed hard when he saw how much others were enjoying their food.

"When is our food coming?"

Zhao Qinglan couldn't help but chuckle. "Anyone who didn't know better would think you hadn't eaten for days. We've only been waiting for a short while."

Li Huai was at his wit's end with his second son's gluttony and gave him a disapproving look.

Upon receiving his father's gaze, Erwa immediately stopped nagging.

The shop restocks pretty quickly.

Within minutes, all six bowls of noodles were brought over in two separate servings.

"You guys eat first, the rest will be ready soon."

Zhao Qinglan smiled at the other person, then picked up her chopsticks and ate her noodles.

The impatient Erwa had already started slurping, and he was the one eating with the most relish.

For a moment, only the sound of eating noodles could be heard on the table.

Zhao Qinglan ate plain noodles, while Li Huai ate scallion oil noodles. Halfway through her meal, she wanted to try the scallion oil noodles, so she set her sights on her husband's bowl.

"How about we take turns eating?"

Without saying a word, Li Huai took his wife's bowl, handed her his own, and then lowered his head to continue eating his noodles.

Erwa's eyes lit up, and he immediately set his sights on his younger brother, who was also eating scallion oil noodles.

"Sanwa, how about we switch places too?"

The third child glanced at his older brother. "How can you be so shameless?"

The second child ate too fast, and almost finished the noodles, leaving only broth in the bowl. The third child, on the other hand, ate slowly, and still had more than half a bowl of noodles left.

"Hehehe, sorry, you don't have a big appetite, let me eat some for you."

Sanwa immediately reached out to protect his bowl.

Helpless, Erwa could only look pitifully at Zhao Qinglan.

"Mom, let me taste it."
