Chapter 424 Supermarket Parasites

It seems my son's time at military academy wasn't wasted. Look at his self-discipline; before, I, his father, always had to urge him to train.

Li Huai was very pleased.

Actually, my eldest child goes to bed very late at night, but he has developed a biological clock at school and wakes up on time.

Perhaps because I'm still young, I didn't feel particularly tired. I was worried that my physical fitness wouldn't keep up when school started, so I went to the yard to run and exercise.

Erwa and Xiaoduo, on the other hand, didn't have this self-discipline. They were all eager to sleep a little longer since they finally had a holiday to rest.

When Zhao Qinglan got up, she saw that the father and son had already prepared breakfast, and the eldest son was about to call his younger siblings to get up and eat.

The annual meeting was held in the evening, so the family had plenty of time.

After having a cozy breakfast together, Zhao Qinglan took her son and husband out to shop at their own supermarket.

It's already past the twelfth lunar month, and in a few days Erwa and Xiaoduo will be on winter vacation. It's time for their family to stock up on New Year's goods.

Sanwa lazily watched TV at home, while Xiaoduo, thinking she should relax in the evening, went to read a book.

The people who went to the supermarket were Zhao Qinglan and her husband, along with their two sons, Dawa and Erwa.

Although it's her own supermarket, Zhao Qinglan usually pays for everything herself. The company is growing bigger and bigger, and everything is becoming more and more standardized.

Her leading by example in creating special privileges will only make things more difficult for her subordinates.

Besides, it's her own business; money just goes in one pocket and out the other.

Zhao Qinglan is usually very low-key. Apart from a few long-time employees, most of the new hires at the supermarket don't know her.

In addition, she was wearing a hat, scarf, and sunglasses when she went out today, so you wouldn't recognize her unless you looked closely.

Although it seems a bit strange that so few people wear sunglasses these days, some people imitate this fashionable look from TV dramas and movies, which at most attracts a few more glances.

Actually, Zhao Qinglan deliberately concealed herself because she didn't want to be recognized by the supermarket employees.

Perhaps because it was almost Chinese New Year, Zhao Qinglan and her group found that there were quite a lot of customers after entering the supermarket.

However, there were no shopping carts back then; if customers bought a lot, they would just carry a basket.

Zhao Qinglan didn't need to carry the basket herself at all; her two sons, Da Wa and Er Wa, all took care of it.

She and her husband walked ahead, picking and choosing items from time to time, and putting the chosen items into their son's basket.

She occasionally visits the supermarket to browse and shop, which also allows her to observe and learn about the supermarket's operations.

Before long, the baskets carried by Da Wa and Er Wa were full, so Li Huai had to take a basket as well.

They were happily buying things when Zhao Qinglan suddenly frowned.

Because people are not used to buying vegetables and fruits in supermarkets at this time, Zhao Qinglan's supermarket rarely sells these. It is only during the Chinese New Year that she brings in some fruits that are relatively rare in the south to sell, which can be regarded as attracting customers to the supermarket.

These fruits are not easy to transport, so the prices are naturally not cheap. However, there are still people in the provincial capital who can afford them, so there is no worry about them not selling.

Zhao Qinglan was thinking that since her eldest child was back, she would buy some rare fruits for the family. But then she saw an old lady with a child standing in front of the fruit stand, eating non-stop.

That's right, it's about eating.

Upon seeing this, Zhao Qinglan immediately looked around for supermarket staff.

There was a staff member standing not far from the fruit stand. Thinking it wouldn't be appropriate for her to step forward directly, Zhao Qinglan asked her husband and son to wait a moment, and then she walked up to the staff member.

“Comrade, do you see that over there?” she pointed.

The staff member looked in the direction she was pointing, and after seeing what was going on, said calmly, "I see it." Then there was no further reaction.

Zhao Qinglan frowned. "That fruit isn't cheap. Doesn't your supermarket care if they keep eating it like this?"

"Thank you for your concern, lady. This is one of our own. You can go back to what you were doing."

"Our own people? Our own people who just eat whatever we want?"

Zhao Qinglan took another closer look at the old woman. At that age, she could not possibly be a supermarket employee. Could she be a family member of an employee?

But is it possible for a family member to act so recklessly?

As the boss, seeing this scene and the inactive employees naturally aroused her anger.

However, she still patiently asked, "Is she a relative of your boss?" Of course, she asked this on purpose.

"Although we're not related to the boss, it's close enough. Just don't worry about it."

She was in a good mood while shopping at the supermarket with her family, but now she's in a terrible mood.

How long has her supermarket been open? How come there are already such parasites? She'd like to know whose family this old lady is.

No longer speaking to the employee, Zhao Qinglan walked back to her husband's side.

"Wait a moment, I have something to take care of." If she doesn't get this sorted out today, she probably won't be in the mood to attend the annual party tonight.

The last time she was this angry was because of Liu Ying.

Zhao Qinglan kept staring at the old lady eating fruit and even went to the staff to report it. Of course, Li Huai, Da Wa, and Er Wa couldn't possibly miss it.

Li Huai calmly said, "I'll go with you."

"No need, you can just wait here." She was afraid that bringing her son and husband over would arouse suspicion and alert the other party.

Taking a deep breath, she walked up to the old woman with a smile.

"Auntie, is this delicious?"

"It's delicious, so sweet!" The old lady picked up a lychee, peeled it, and put it into her grandson's mouth.

"Milk, I'm full," the little boy spat out.
