Chapter 433 Clever Child Protects Elders

There were few vehicles on the road, and the journey was smooth. When they arrived at the hospital, there were doctors and nurses on duty, and the old man was quickly lifted onto a trolley and pushed inside.

Another car carrying several children followed closely behind.

When they arrived at the hospital, seeing that their parents were too preoccupied to care about anything else, the older brother, Da Wa, took on the responsibility.

"Let's call Grandma and the others first. Otherwise, if we don't go back, Grandma and Great-Aunt will worry."

"Brother, do you remember your great-aunt's phone number?" Erwa asked.

I can't really recite this from memory; I only vaguely remember it.

“I remember,” Sanwa stepped forward.

"Then Sanwa and I will go make a phone call. Xiaoduo, you and Erwa go with Mom and see if there's anything we can help with."

"Okay, bro."

The siblings left quickly.

The older child took his younger brother to the hospital and made a phone call.

In the courtyard, Mrs. Sun and her family were chatting happily when the phone rang.

Her personal assistant walked over and picked up the microphone.

Soon, she called out to Madam Sun, "Madam, it's Young Master Yan Sen calling, looking for you."

"Why did Da Wa call us?" Feeling strange, Madam Sun quickly went over, followed by Madam Sun and her brother.

"Hello, it's me."

"Great-aunt, we are at the hospital."

Upon hearing that they were in the hospital, Mrs. Sun became anxious. "Eldest child, what happened? Which of you went to the hospital?"

Hearing her say that, everyone in the room became nervous.

Upon hearing that it was Old Master Dou, Madam Sun breathed a slight sigh of relief, but she also inquired about what had happened.

Mrs. Sun was still worried, so she took the microphone and asked many questions.

Upon learning the whole story, both Madam Sun and her brother became furious.

It wasn't that Sun wasn't angry, but compared to her older brother and sister, her anger wasn't as obvious.

"You dare to covet our child's property? Brother, I'm not familiar with Beijing. What do you think we should do about this?"

"Don't worry, I'll handle this."

Sun Guangming rarely uses his position and connections to do anything, but now that his own child has been bullied at his doorstep, how could he possibly ignore it?

He took out a small notebook with phone numbers written in his pocket and made a few calls.

Mrs. Sun also instructed her assistant to contact a lawyer, saying that their lawyers could come forward at any time if needed.

Before Zhao Qinglan and the others could even get to this, their elders had already started standing up for them.

The doctor performed a series of examinations on Mr. Dou.

As soon as they left, Zhao Qinglan and Li Huai pressed them for answers. "Doctor, how is she?"

"It's nothing serious. It's just that I'm getting old and have some old ailments, but my blood pressure is indeed a bit high. I'll have to stay in the hospital for observation for a couple of days."

"That's great, thank you doctor."

"You're welcome."

The old man was moved back to a regular ward, and he was much more awake now.

Li Huai went to pay the bill, and Zhao Qinglan sat by the bedside to keep him company.

Zhao Qinglan sent the eldest brother and his brothers out to buy things.

After two days in the hospital, she would need some daily necessities, but she was too lazy to go home and go through the hassle, so she simply gave the child money to buy them nearby.

Sanwa didn't go out but sat by the bed, ready to run errands at any time.

"Qinglan, I'm fine," the old man said, leaning back in his seat.

“Let’s treat this as a check-up. Grandpa Dou, you’re getting on in years, you need to take care of yourself.”

Just as she finished speaking, Zhao Qinglan suddenly slapped her thigh. "Oh dear, I forgot to tell my family."

“Mom, my brother has already called,” Sanwa said immediately.

"Oh, that's good. Have you explained things to Grandma and the others?"

"That's clear."

"You've really grown up and can help your mother now," Zhao Qinglan said with great emotion.

Zhao Qinglan dismissed both drivers and the car.

She didn't expect that her mother, aunt, and uncle would arrive at the hospital soon after, bringing gifts.

Knowing that Grandpa Dou was hospitalized, several people came to visit him.

While her uncle was talking to the old man, Zhao Qinglan and her mother went outside to talk.

“Mom, when Grandpa Dou is discharged from the hospital, I want to take him home with us. Grandpa Dou is old and lives alone in the yard. We came just in time this time. If he had suddenly fainted at home alone, the consequences would have been unimaginable.”

Madam Sun also knew the special place that Old Master Dou held in her eldest son-in-law's heart. Besides, this was a family matter between her daughter and son-in-law. They were both grown up and had their own ideas, so it was not appropriate for her, as their mother, to interfere.

Mainly, she was kind-hearted and didn't feel uncomfortable about taking Grandpa Dou to her daughter's home to live with her in his old age.

"That's right. As you get older, you can't easily be without someone by your side."

In the evening, Li Huai and Da Wa stayed to keep watch over the children, while Zhao Qinglan and the rest of the children went home.

It wasn't until she got home that Zhao Qinglan had time to think about the Dou family.

"Qinglan, you don't need to worry about this. Your uncle will take care of it for you," Madam Sun said.

After visiting Grandpa Dou, Sun Guangming took a car back home, mainly because he had some official business to attend to.

"Auntie, you and Uncle are so thoughtful."

Madam Sun laughed. "You all should have spoken up sooner when you encountered trouble. You're not as quick-witted as Da Wa and the others."

She wasn't angry even when she was scolded. "Auntie, this is called surpassing one's teacher. Da Wa and the others are clever and good."

The Dou family was terrified by Old Master Dou's fainting spell, and they were kept in the presence of their neighbors, who wouldn't let them leave, making their situation even more unbearable.
