Chapter 569 Being Bullied at Work

On Erwa's first day at the company, a regular employee from the human resources department took him to his department to report for duty.

Although the HR staff did not know Erwa's true identity, they assumed that Erwa was related to the manager because they knew that the manager had come to see their leader, so they were naturally more enthusiastic about Erwa.

After the employee left, an elderly person asked Erwa about his identity.

Erwa smiled simply. "I'm just an ordinary newcomer."

These days, anyone with connections wants everyone to know, in order to avoid trouble and make their lives more comfortable.

After Erwa said that, everyone in the department believed him.

As for Erwa's status as a graduate of a prestigious university, since he didn't mention it himself, no one else asked.

Although there are college graduates in the company now, everyone generally believes that the best career path for college graduates is still a stable job, especially for those from good universities.

Many of the college graduates in their company resigned because they were dissatisfied with their university education and the jobs they were assigned, and then came to work for private companies like theirs.

The department head didn't take Erwa, the newcomer, too seriously, and assigned an experienced person to look after Erwa.

As a result, the old man naturally disliked Erwa.

Because he knew that their department was recruiting a new person, and his nephew happened to meet all the requirements, he wanted to get his nephew in. He gave gifts to the leaders and the HR department, and also treated them to meals in private.

Before the HR department could even give a straight answer, Erwa had already taken the spot. How could he possibly like Erwa? He just felt that Erwa had stolen the job that rightfully belonged to his nephew.

Because he didn't like the look of Erwa, he naturally had no good temper with him. He was bossy and always made Erwa do errands, clean, and serve tea and water. He didn't teach Erwa any proper chores.

Erwa, being good-natured, assumed that all newcomers had to go through such trials, so he patiently sat down and did everything without realizing that he was being "bullied."

Liu Yong thought that young people all have some backbone. He was already in this situation, so when the newcomer Erwa started to make a fuss, he could find a reason to cover for himself, and the newcomer Erwa would not get any good out of it.

He secretly hoped that Erwa would leave on his own when he couldn't continue.

The other people in the department noticed that Liu Yong had gone a bit too far with Erwa, but Liu Yong was a senior employee and Erwa was just a newcomer who hadn't yet established himself. Even if some people sympathized with him, they wouldn't stand up against Liu Yong.

When Liu Yong wasn't around, a colleague who had joined the company a little earlier than Erwa quietly comforted him.

"Perhaps Brother Liu has had something unpleasant happen these past few days. Brother Liu wasn't like this before, so just bear with it."

Erwa nodded. "Thank you, I understand."

When Erwa returned to the office, he brought some delicious food for his kind colleague.

Liu Yong knew this and rolled his eyes.

Although Erwa endured it, he wasn't a masochist, and he was very straightforward; he would be nice to whoever was nice to him.

He came to the company just to work and didn't want to cause trouble, so he didn't resist Liu Yong. Of course, this was on the premise that he thought his current situation was normal. Even if Liu Yong went a bit too far, he received explanations and comfort from kind colleagues.

Now that Erwa is working for him, how could Wang Jianshe not pay any attention?

When the meeting started, they asked Erwa how the new leader was doing.

To be honest, Erwa's boss didn't have much of an impression of him, but when asked, he could only smile and say that he was adapting well.

When he got back, he called Erwa into his office.

The leaders aren't stupid; they always felt that the manager wouldn't ask about a newcomer for no reason.

As soon as Erwa went to the leader's office, Liu Yong outside became a little nervous, fearing that the hotheaded Erwa would complain, and also wondering why the leader wanted to call Erwa over.

"Li Yanxun, how have you been adjusting these past two days?"

"fine."

"That's good. By the way, are you familiar with the manager?"

Erwa paused for a moment before saying, "Not really."

This answer suggests they do know each other? "You knew the manager before?"

Erwa nodded. "Yes, but that was a few years ago."

Seeing that Erwa said he really wasn't familiar with Wang Jianshe, the leader let him go and then took out Erwa's resume to look at.

When the leader saw the school where the second child was enrolled, he suddenly realized that the child was a high achiever, which explained why Manager Wang had been paying attention to him.

In the family section, Erwa only wrote that his mother was a self-employed businesswoman and his father was a soldier.

The leader glanced at it without giving it any thought, assuming that Erwa's mother was just running a small business.

She was initially interested in Erwa's father, but quickly lost interest when she realized Erwa wasn't a local.

As soon as Erwa returned, Liu Yong began to question him.

What did you say to your boss?

Erwa frowned, but still replied, "It's nothing. My supervisor just asked me if I'm a good fit for the job."

"You're not talking nonsense, are you?"

"No."

"You're smart to know your place. You should know that whether you can pass your internship depends on me."

"oh."

At the company, Erwa remained quite calm, but he started complaining when he saw his girlfriend, Yu Xiang.

"I don't know what happened to his family. He's so irritable all the time. I'm so unlucky to have met such a master."

Yu Xiang also found it amusing. "If you feel wronged, then reveal your identity as the young master, and see who dares to wrong you."

Since the two were dating, Erwa naturally wouldn't hide the fact that the company he was going to work for was actually his own family's. Although Yu Xiang was surprised when she found out, she could accept it when she thought about how Erwa was buying a house just to go to school.
