Chapter 63 Complete Fall

I never expected that my two daughters and nieces, Zhao Qingzhu and Zhao Qingju, would change so much in just a few days.

The three Zhao brothers looked at each other in bewilderment.

"How dare you talk to me like that? You've gone too far!" Veins bulged on Zhao Laoda's forehead.

Zhao Laoda's father still wielded considerable influence over the years, and his fierce demeanor made Zhao Qingzhu and her sister somewhat afraid.

However, Zhao Qinglan was different. After hearing her father's words, she sneered.

"Since you're here, I also have something to say. You should divorce my mother. Qingzhu and Qingju can both live with my mother." In the countryside, people are used to calling their parents "father" and "mother," so Zhao Qinglan switched back to that form of address when facing Zhao Laoda and the others.

Not only were Zhao's brothers stunned, but the patients and their families who had peeked out from various wards to watch the commotion were also shocked.

Divorce? Or did their own daughter instigate their parents to divorce?

Although there were quite a few couples who divorced in previous years for various reasons, those were all caused by special circumstances.

But now, just because the father beat the mother, are two people of such advanced age allowed to divorce?

Even though many people look down on men who beat their wives, they still can't understand why it has to come to the point of divorce.

"Zhao Qinglan, are you crazy?" Zhao Lao Er suddenly spoke up.

He didn't actually care whether his older brother and sister-in-law got divorced or not.

But my eldest niece said that after the divorce, her two other nieces would also be living with her. So how could they use their nieces and Wang Dazhi to exchange jobs?

When it involves one's own vital interests, one naturally becomes agitated.

“Exactly, who makes their own parents divorce? I think you’ve gone crazy just because you got divorced yourself,” Zhao Laosan chimed in.

In his view, his eldest niece used to be a normal person, but after the divorce, she became mentally unstable.

After being rejected by her two younger brothers-in-law, Zhao's mother tugged at her daughter's sleeve worriedly. "Qinglan," she said, her voice trembling slightly.

Zhao Qinglan turned around, squeezed her mother's hand tightly, and comforted her, "Mother, don't be afraid. Just remember to listen to me, and I will make sure you live a comfortable life."

Zhao Qinglan's words gave her mother and two younger sisters tremendous motivation.

"The Marriage Law also states that marriage is a matter of freedom. My mother doesn't want to stay in the Zhao family anymore, so what's wrong with that?" Having seen so much prosperity in later generations, what's a little thing like divorce?

It's just that everyone is making a fuss about it now. In the future, there will be mistresses everywhere, and it won't be surprising to see people getting married in a flash and divorced the next day.

"Divorce my ass! I don't agree!" Old Zhao roared.

"What are you yelling about? If you keep making a scene, you're out right now." Seeing that more and more people were gathering around, the nurse quickly took care of her duties.

Zhao Qinglan wasn't planning to leave today; she was just informing the other party first. With so many people watching, they probably wouldn't dare to make a move.

Helping her mother up again, the two walked past Zhao Laoda and the others into the ward, with Zhao Qingzhu and her sister following closely behind.

Unexpectedly, none of the women in his family listened to him, and he lost face in front of everyone.

Old Master Zhao was so angry that his face turned red and his heart pounded. He turned around and was about to chase after him to argue when his younger brother stopped him.

Zhao Lao Er lowered his voice and said, "Brother, with so many people watching, we definitely can't take Qingzhu and Qingju away. Let's hurry back and tell Mother that our sister-in-law wants a divorce and wants to take Qingzhu and the others away. Let's all figure out a way."

"That's right, brother, let's hurry back and tell Mother first," Zhao Laosan said impatiently.

The three brothers came in a hurry and left in a hurry.

Zhao Qingju followed quietly, and when she saw that her father and uncle had really left, she ran back happily.

"Big sister, they're gone!" Big sister is amazing!

Zhao Qingzhu also became happy.

Zhao Qinglan, however, promptly poured cold water on their hopes.

"Don't be happy yet, there's more trouble to come." Her grandmother, the most troublesome old hag in the Zhao family, hasn't shown her face yet.

Even though she despised her grandmother, Zhao Qinglan had to admit that her grandmother's brain was sometimes quite sharp, especially when she had wicked ideas.

After her two younger sisters came to relieve her, Zhao Qinglan returned to the guesthouse to wash up and rest.

She's been busy these past two days, and she's exhausted both mentally and physically.

It's thanks to her youth that she can keep going, but even so, she won't ruin her health. She rests when she needs to, because good health is the foundation for everything.

Li Huai brought back food and ate lunch with the three children.

At the dinner table, the older child couldn't help but chime in when he heard his younger brother sigh.

"Dad, when is Mom coming back?"

When the eldest child asked this question, the second child and the little girl looked at Li Huai expectantly.

How would he know that? But this woman, she didn't even call him after she arrived.

"I'll make a call and ask later," he replied.

"I want to talk to my mom too," Xiaoduo whispered.

Although she liked Li Huai, her new father, she was still a little afraid of him when her mother wasn't around.

"Okay, if there's a chance." Li Huai didn't rule out any possibility.

“Then I’ll speak too,” Erwa immediately raised his hand.

"What are you doing here?" Li Huai glared at his youngest son.

Erwa pouted. "I want to talk to Mom too."

"I think you just want the food she makes," Li Huai and Da Wa both slandered.

Zhao Qinglan left for the hospital just before lunchtime.

Since her return, the meals for the mother and her daughters have been improved.

Just as they were having lunch, Sui Wenjing came over with some food.

"Sister Sui, you said you were coming, why did you bring anything?" Zhao Qinglan quickly put down her chopsticks and stood up.
