Yu Xiang smiled, but didn't say anything more.
Once back at school, Erwa found Wang Lingling.
"Brother Yanxun!" Wang Lingling was overjoyed.
“Wang Lingling, it’s my freedom to make friends with whomever I want. How could you come to my friend’s shop and question her?”
"I, Brother Yanxun, how could you say that to me? I was just concerned about you." Her eyes reddened.
"I don't need your concern!" Erwa said, looking annoyed.
"Do you like her?!" Wang Lingling shouted.
"It's my freedom to like whomever I want. Can you please stop interfering in my life? You're bothering me a lot, understand?"
"Brother Keyan, I like you. I've liked you ever since you first came to my house."
Erwa's eyes widened, but he quickly said coldly, "I don't like you. In my eyes, you will always just be a girl next door. There is absolutely no possibility between us."
Wang Lingling ran away crying.
Erwa was also in a bad mood.
But as he lay on his dormitory bed, Wang Lingling's questioning of him kept replaying in his mind.
"Do you like her?"
Does he like Yu Xiang?
He had never thought about it before; he only knew that he enjoyed being with Yu Xiang and discussing food with her.
