The 1980s were the peak period for Hong Kong cinema, producing many classic films.
The Liao Group also has companies involved in film investment.
Therefore, it was quite easy for Madam Sun to suggest that someone take her eldest son and the others to visit some celebrities on set.
Da Wa and his friends had previously watched the wildly popular TV series "Shanghai Bund," and then watched "A Better Tomorrow" at the villa. Now they idolize Mark Gor.
So, Madam Sun had someone take them to visit Little Ma on set.
Zhao Qinglan's impression of Mark Gor, besides "Shanghai Bund," is mostly from the God of Gamblers series.
On the day of the set visit, the whole family got ready early. They were all excited and nervous at the thought of seeing Brother Ma.
Ms. Sun had no interest in following celebrities, so she stayed at home with her sister.
Zhao Qinglan, along with her five children, Ding Yu, and Liu Dandan, traveled in two separate cars to the film set where Xiao Ma was working.
Since "A Better Tomorrow" became a huge hit, Mark Gor's status in Hong Kong has changed dramatically.
Madam Sun sent someone to visit the set, and her subordinates had naturally given prior notice.
Little Ma had also witnessed wealthy people's children and relatives chasing after celebrities and asking for his autograph, so he wasn't surprised when his agent told him about it, and just did what he was supposed to do on set.
When Zhao Qinglan and her group got outside, they saw entertainment reporters lying in wait. As soon as they got out of the car, some of them quickly took out their cameras to take pictures.
However, the two drivers who brought them here were clearly not ordinary drivers. One of them said something to the reporters, and they put down their cameras.
When they arrived, Zhao Qinglan and the others realized that "A Better Tomorrow 2" was being filmed.
The kids had just watched the first season and were still admiring the main actors. When they heard that the second season was being filmed, they couldn't help but scream with excitement.
Only Zhao Qinglan could maintain her composure, unlike the children who were overjoyed.
Because they had given prior notice and identified themselves, they were quickly let in.
The film set was a mess, crowded with people and various props and scenes.
However, the children were all very sensible; they only looked around and didn't touch anything, nor did they dare to make a loud noise.
They had just finished filming a scene and were taking a break when they were taken directly to Little Ma's place.
Upon seeing Little Ma, even the usually calm eldest brother and the quiet third brother became excited.
When they met, Ma was very friendly, greeting them one by one and asking for autographs from everyone.
While the children were asking for autographs, Zhao Qinglan also noticed two actors who were resting nearby, so she took her notebook and went over to them.
Could you please sign your name for me?
"Of course, please wait a moment, Miss."
After the other person finished writing, Zhao Qinglan thought of how this person from her previous life seemed to have passed away long ago, leaving many people with regret and sadness, and couldn't help but say something.
"Many people like you. No matter what difficulties you encounter, don't give up easily. We will support you. Keep going!"
Although the other person didn't know why she said that, they sensed her sincerity and smiled. "Thank you."
They lingered on set for quite a while and even saw some footage of the next scene being filmed.
When the children came out of the film set, they still felt a little reluctant to leave.
"So this is how it's filmed, just like what we see on TV," Erwa muttered to himself.
This set visit was quite a novel experience for the children.
On the way back, Cheng Tao and Da Wa kept discussing the differences between the props and weapons used on set and those in reality.
They grew up in the military family compound, so they had naturally seen those real weapons, and even witnessed military training and target practice.
Some of the boys didn't like these things, and they had a lively discussion about it.
Once they returned to the villa, Xiaoduo Erwa told the two elders about their experiences on the film set.
Knowing that the children were having fun, Mrs. Sun was relieved.
"Qinglan, there's horse racing tomorrow, would you like to go watch?"
Betting on horse racing is legal in Hong Kong. Mrs. Sun even keeps a batch of horses that can compete. In fact, many wealthy people in Hong Kong have invested in this area. She only looks at it occasionally and is not particularly obsessed with it.
She was quite curious about many things she hadn't experienced before, and nodded in agreement. "If we can go, let's take a look."
"Okay, I'll have someone make the arrangements. Oh, by the way, Yunxiang said he'll be there too."
This child, relatives came to visit, and he only came back that one evening. He was nowhere to be seen again early the next morning. Madam Sun was already having second thoughts about her son.
Having had a great time these past two days, Zhao Qinglan realized she hadn't contacted her husband, so she made a phone call to the mainland.
It took her quite a while to finally get in touch with her husband.
She only said a couple of sentences before letting the children and her husband talk first.
The eldest child briefly greeted his father before handing the phone to his younger sister, while the younger sister spoke a few more words.
When they got to Erwa, the child seemed determined to start talking about everything from when he boarded the plane. Perhaps Li Huai couldn't stand his son's nagging anymore and told him to quickly find someone else to pick him up.
Fortunately, the third child isn't a chatterbox; he talks as fast as the eldest.
When the microphone was returned to Zhao Qinglan's hands, she heard her husband laugh and say, "You two have had quite an eventful few days."
"Of course! We're going to see a big star today, and I have to say, he's really handsome."
On the other end of the phone, Li Huai immediately felt jealous.
"Are you as handsome as me?"
"Can you stop being so narcissistic?" Zhao Qinglan really wanted to roll her eyes at her husband.
"Qinglan, I feel heartbroken. How could you dislike me so much?"
