"Dad, why isn't Mom out yet? Why don't we go in and check?" Erwa suggested in the car.
Li Huai glanced at his watch; it had been at least twenty minutes. He was starting to worry.
He opened the car door and had just reached the supermarket entrance when he saw his wife walk out with a frosty expression.
"Qinglan, are you alright?" Li Huai asked worriedly.
"I'm fine, get in the car, let's go home." Zhao Qinglan's expression softened a bit.
Because she was out with her husband and son, she didn't bring Ding Yu and Liu Dandan with her. She even gave them the day off so they could get ready to attend the annual meeting that evening.
There are quite a few unmarried young men and women in the company, and she was holding the annual party hoping to find someone she could click with.
The family traveled in Li Huai's Jeep, simply because Zhao Qinglan's Mercedes was too conspicuous.

"Don't shoulder any trouble yourself, I'm here for you."
"I can handle the company's affairs myself, since you can't help me. As for you guys, just accompanying me to the annual meeting is enough to support me."
"Mom, you'll see what happens to me and my brother then," Erwa patted his chest and promised.
Zhao Qinglan was amused, and the gloom on her face finally dissipated.
