Chapter 121 Accusing Li Zhenhua

When Zhao Qinglan entered the room, she saw Li Zhenhua and his bodyguard, but she only nodded and did not greet them.

"Mom." As soon as she saw her return, Xiaoduo ran over and hugged her.

"What's wrong?" Zhao Qinglan asked, bending down in surprise.

"Mom, this grandpa keeps trying to get Big Brother and Little Brother Er to come to his house. Is he really not lying to the kids?" Xiaoduo whispered in her ear.

Although Xiao Duo's voice was quite soft, Li Zhenhua, who was standing nearby, and the guard with excellent hearing both heard it.

The atmosphere in the room became even more awkward.

Seeing Li Zhenhua's suddenly embarrassed expression, Zhao Qinglan felt a bit awkward herself.

"Um, you guys play first, we need to talk."

Xiao Duo obediently ran into the house, and Da Wa and Er Wa followed.

“Let’s talk,” Zhao Qinglan said earnestly, looking directly at Li Zhenhua.

Although Li Zhenhua still doesn't approve of Zhao Qinglan as his daughter-in-law, he has no choice but to accept reality for now.

“What are you trying to say?” he countered.

“The eldest and second children are still young. Li Huai and I are their parents and guardians. Whatever you want them to do, they have to go through us first.”

"Guardian?" Li Zhenhua had never heard this term before, but he could understand its meaning from the words themselves.

He was naturally unconvinced by Zhao Qinglan's words, and smacked his lips to express his dissatisfaction.

“I am the grandfather of Da Wa and Er Wa, and I want to see if there is anything wrong with my grandson.”

Zhao Qinglan laughed. "You've misunderstood. When did I say you couldn't see your grandson? Look, when you came to our house, Li Huai and I didn't do anything, did we? What I'm talking about is you sending Da Wa and Er Wa to your house."

“What’s the difference?” he said matter-of-factly.

“There’s a huge difference here. They’re still young, and we don’t want them to travel far. Moreover, we especially don’t want them to come to your house,” Zhao Qinglan said frankly.

"What do you mean!"

“Dawa and Erwa aren’t familiar with you, their grandfather, and the rest of your family members are even more unfamiliar to them. Can you guarantee that the rest of your family members will also be friendly to Dawa and Erwa?” she asked rhetorically.

“I can guarantee it, what’s this?” Li Zhenhua answered without even thinking.

Zhao Qinglan laughed. This father-in-law was indeed quite arrogant.

Her smile annoyed Li Zhenhua a bit.

"You're just making excuses."

"Yes, interpret it however you like, but we just don't agree to the two children going to your house. Is that clear enough?" She was too lazy to say anything more since they didn't see eye to eye.

"You're sharp-tongued and argumentative!" Li Zhenhua said angrily.

Zhao Qinglan wasn't angry when she heard this. She said indifferently, "You can come to see our grandson anytime. I don't care what you think of me. My attitude now is Li Huai's attitude. And please don't say those things to the children that bother them anymore."

Her words infuriated Li Zhenhua.

The guards who were watching were also shocked.

He knew that the leader and his son didn't get along, but he had never seen the leader be berated like this by a "daughter-in-law".

Witnessing the disgraceful affair of the leader's family, he wished he could disappear immediately, and that he could be dismissed like yesterday.

Pointing at Zhao Qinglan, Li Zhenhua said "you" several times in a row, and he couldn't say anything more.

Zhao Qinglan was also being bothered by Li Zhenhua time and time again.

If it weren't for Li Huai, she wouldn't care who Li Zhenhua was.

After hearing Li Huai talk about his mother-in-law's affairs last night, she looked down on Li Zhenhua even more.

When the children asked for his help, he couldn't help but tell them the truth without pretending at all.

The guards quickly came over to comfort their leader, and it took Li Zhenhua a while to recover.

"Li Huai's biggest mistake in life was marrying you."

After saying that, Li Zhenhua left angrily.

However, he had only walked a short distance when he was stopped by someone.

The person who stopped him was Qian Hongxia, who had covered most of her face with a scarf.

"Who are you!" The guard stood in front of his superior with a wary expression.

"Well, sir, I have something I want to tell you, it's about your son, Li Huai," Qian Hongxia said to Li Zhenhua.

Upon hearing that it concerned his son, and considering that the person opposite him was just a woman, Li Zhenhua immediately told the guards to move aside.

The three of them walked to a secluded corner and stood there.

"Speak, what is it?" Li Zhenhua asked, puzzled.

Could it be that his son was doing something against the rules down there? He couldn't help but wonder.

Although she has never had a good relationship with her son, it would be impossible for her not to be proud of her son, Li Huai.

Qian Hongxia immediately recounted how Zhao Qinglan had instigated Li Huai to invest in a snack shop, which involved employing and exploiting the people and was seen as a step towards capitalism.

Li Zhenhua was utterly dumbfounded.

Qian Hongxia was obviously exaggerating, but it was enough to shock and anger Li Zhenhua.

"How can I be sure that what you're saying is true?" Li Zhenhua said in a deep voice.

"Commander, I know the address of that shop. You can go and see for yourself. It's currently being looked after by Zhao Qinglan's family."

"Okay, okay, okay." He said "okay" three times in a row.

"Why are you saying this now?" Qian Hongxia didn't understand.

But the guards standing nearby knew that their leader was furious.

At that moment, he didn't care about his grandsons coming home for the New Year; he just wanted to find out what was going on.

Upon realizing this, Li Zhenhua immediately left with his guards.

After they left, Zhu Yuqin emerged from her hiding place in the distance.
