Gu Tianyou, like a caged beast suddenly awakened, scrambled to his feet and rushed to the first floor like a madman.
Clinging to their last glimmer of hope, the group staggered behind.
When the wall of the study slowly opened, revealing an equally empty interior, Gu Tianyou could no longer hold on.
A desperate whine escaped his throat, his eyes rolled back, and he fell straight backward.

"master!"
The Gu family was instantly thrown into chaos.
After a chaotic rescue effort, Gu Tianyou finally regained consciousness by having his philtrum pinched.
He lay listlessly on the sofa, repeatedly muttering, "Gone...all gone...karma..."
He felt as if his soul had been ripped out, and he was completely disoriented.
He Yue'er sat to the side, covering her face and sobbing, her makeup ruined by the tears.
Only Gu Chen forced himself to calm down after the initial shock and anger.
He paced back and forth in the empty living room like a trapped lone wolf.
Behind the gold-rimmed glasses, his eyes gleamed with a chilling light.
"Something's not right, something's really not right."
He muttered to himself.
Gu Wanwan calmed down a bit. Looking at her parents, who seemed to be going crazy, and her second brother, who was gloomy and terrifying, she felt an overwhelming sense of panic for the first time.
The script she relied on had completely failed.
This world has completely slipped out of her control!
She racked her brains trying to figure out which part had gone wrong.
Suddenly, a name flashed through her mind like lightning.
"It's her! It must be her!"
Gu Wanwan shrieked, "It was that bitch Ye Nian'an who did it!"

"Don't you know how complicated the mechanisms in our house are? The mechanism in the study was specially designed by a master craftsman from Hong Kong. The switch is hidden in the carvings of the picture frame. Apart from Dad, even I don't know about it!"

“This thief knows our house inside and out. He knows all our secrets, the location of every mechanism, and when our security is at its weakest.”
Gu Chen's gaze slowly swept over everyone present, including his father, who was slumped on the sofa, and his mother, who was crying.
His voice suddenly lowered, like a venomous snake lurking in the shadows, flicking its tongue.
"He is not an outsider."
"There's only one possibility that could make all of this possible—"
"There's a traitor in this family!"
The words "traitor" exploded like a thunderclap in the quiet living room.
He Yue'er's crying stopped abruptly, and Gu Wanwan was also shocked and gasped.
A family killing each other is far more horrifying and terrifying than being robbed by an outsider.
Gu Tianyou's cloudy eyes moved, and his lips trembled, as if he had realized something.
