All the lights in the room were on, making it as bright as day.
Song Qingyou changed her clothes and went upstairs, with Fu Wenzhou following closely behind her.
Several times I tried to speak, but I was interrupted by the other party's indifferent attitude.
When Song Qingyou left the master bedroom with the clothes, Fu Wenzhou panicked completely and grabbed her.
His eyes were fixed on her, his voice hoarse: "Where are you going?"
Song Qingyou glanced down at her wrist, which he was holding: "I think we both need to calm down, so let's start sleeping in separate rooms from today."
Her face looked calm, but the tremor in her voice betrayed the composure she was putting on.
The tremor was so brief that Fu Wenzhou didn't even notice it.
The man's eyes widened; he felt an indescribable fear.
In my memory, even when he was relentlessly pursuing her during those years, she never spoke to me in such a cold tone.
Fu Wenzhou held her tightly, refusing to let go, as if he thought that this would keep her there: "Why do you need to calm down? What did I do? I told you that I didn't find that girl. You can't pin a crime on me for something I didn't do."
Finally, her voice trembled as she added, "Youyou, you can't do this, you can't do this to me..."
“I know,” Song Qingyou said.
"What?"
Song Qingyou said softly, "I know you won't mistake me for someone else."
Fu Wenzhou hurriedly pressed, "Since you know, why did you treat me like this? If it's because of what happened during the day, I can apologize to you. If you want to go see SY, go ahead. I've thought it through. Work is work, and feelings are feelings. We can separate them."
"Did that girl teach you?" Song Qingyou interrupted him, asking in a very soft voice.
Fu Wenzhou paused for a moment, then nodded.
Song Qingyou smiled and said, "I've been teaching you for years and you still can't learn it, but someone else explains it to you in just a few minutes and you understand it?"
Fu Wenzhou: "I..."
Song Qingyou brushed his hand away. "Get some rest. Goodnight."
The door was gently closed, leaving Fu Wenzhou standing there, bewildered.
His eyes were blank and frightened, like a trapped beast that couldn't find its home.
As dawn approached, Fu Wenzhou, sporting dark circles under his eyes from not sleeping all night, got up to make breakfast for Song Qingyou.
He made a lot of special dishes, all of which were Song Qingyou's favorite foods.
When he estimated that it was about time, he set out the bowls and chopsticks. When the person appeared at the bottom of the stairs, he said awkwardly, "Sister, breakfast is ready."
Song Qingyou walked to the entrance hall and put on her clothes and shoes.
Seeing that she was about to leave, Fu Wenzhou asked anxiously, "Aren't you going to eat breakfast?"
Song Qingyou didn't really intend to ignore him. After a moment of silence, she said, "You eat. The company has been very busy lately. I'll ask Uncle Chang to buy some on his way."
"But I've already done it..."
His only response was the cold sound of the door closing.
Song Qingyou really has something to do.
She worked through the night on two project proposals. Fu Wenzhou didn't sleep, and she wasn't much better off.
Even while sitting in the car, she kept checking and making changes to see if there was anything wrong.
Seeing that she looked unwell, Song asked with concern, "Didn't you sleep at all last night?"
"She's asleep."
I did fall asleep, but it wasn't even two hours.
Song Chang asked in a low voice, "You...you really don't plan to cooperate with SY anymore?"
“Hmm.” Song Qingyou replied casually, “I thought about it last night, and it’s not impossible for the Fu family to expand its business. Although the process is quite troublesome, it is still about 10% feasible.”
Song Chang looked astonished: "For this ten percent, you not only worked all day, but also stayed up all night?"
Song Qingyou rubbed her tired eyes and curled her lips into a smile, but there was no real joy in her eyes.
I worked on the project proposal from noon yesterday until after 10 p.m., and finally managed to create a rough draft.
Originally, she thought that if Fu Wenzhou really didn't like her finding other partners to cooperate with, then she would try to find the fastest, least risky, and most stable way to join forces with the Fu family.
She thought that if he couldn't understand, so be it; she wasn't incapable of making concessions.
It's just a bit tough.
Unexpectedly, when she took the proposal to someone, the other person told her that they had changed their mind.
He was easily persuaded by another girl in just a few words.
Song Qingyou's fingertips turned slightly white, and she quickly looked up: "Uncle Chang, go to Maple Forest Garden."
"Maple Forest Garden?" Song Chang asked in surprise, "Are you going to see Elder Dong?"
"Um."
Song Qingyou herself studied medicine and was very clear about her own physical condition.
During this period, she could clearly feel her heart palpitations increasing in frequency, and her coughing up blood became more severe.
Song Qingyou checked the time; she would be going to conduct an on-site inspection at 1 p.m., and she should have enough time to visit Fenglin Garden.
Professor Dong was a leading figure in the medical field, with countless students, and Song Qingyou was once one of her most outstanding disciples. However, after graduating from university, Song Qingyou gave up studying medicine, and because of this, Professor Dong did not contact her for a year.
It wasn't until Song Qingyou personally came to apologize that she reconnected with her prized student.
Upon seeing Song Qingyou, the first thing he did was to take her pulse.
Song Qingyou sat on the sofa and said softly with a smile, "Teacher, please don't frown so deeply, or I'll think I'm about to die."
Her joke eased the tense and oppressive atmosphere.
Old Dong looked at her, holding back his sigh.
Song Qingyou paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "Teacher, you can just say it directly."
Old Master Dong didn't say it directly, but only prescribed two doses of medicine for Song Qingyou to take once in the morning and once in the evening.
Song Qingyou recognized the medicine by its smell; it was meant to calm the nerves.
