Chapter 13 Obedience

"Are you really that annoying to me?"

Fu Wenzhou spoke in a hoarse voice, his eyes darkening several shades. When he raised his head again, his pupils were filled with obsessive desire. Song Qingyou was all too familiar with that look.

That was a sign that he was about to go mad.

She hurriedly took a step back, but the man picked her up with an almost terrifying force and slammed her against the tea cabinet behind her. The tea sets on her back collided and made a clattering sound.

"What's wrong with you now?" Song Qingyou was both embarrassed and annoyed, and the composure she had maintained just now easily crumbled in front of him: "You said you wouldn't bother me again."

Fu Wenzhou easily grabbed her wrist, raised it, and imprisoned it above her head: "All you ever do is chase me away."

He was pressed too close, their bodies already pressed tightly together, Fu Wenzhou's palm caressing her delicate cheek.

Song Qingyou had nowhere to retreat. She wanted to push him away, but was afraid of touching his wound, so she could only look at him angrily: "Fu Wenzhou, what exactly do you want?"

Fu Wenzhou leaned down, his cheek pressed against her neck, his breath growing more rapid as it landed on her collarbone: "I'm covered in injuries, and you're not even patient enough to apply medicine, Song Qingyou. Sometimes I wonder if your heart is made of stone."

Song Qingyou's throat itched, her face flushed, and she turned her head away to avoid his burning gaze.

"Are you like this to everyone, or are you just so heartless to me? Hmm?" Fu Wenzhou's warm, damp palm caressed her carotid artery inch by inch, his narrow eyes slightly upturned. Suddenly, he tightened his grip, forcing Song Qingyou to look at him: "Three years ago, I knelt in the rain begging you not to marry me. I still remember how cold and heartless you were back then."

Fu Wenzhou seemed to be asking and answering himself, his tone stubborn and focused: "Why, why can Fu Tingshen do it, but I can't?"

Song Qingyou's patience reached its limit. She slapped his hand away and coughed violently in the gap between her breaths.

Fu Wenzhou panicked immediately, let go of her and turned to find her medicine. He carefully held the medicine and handed her water, saying, "Youyou, be good and take your medicine."

Song Qingyou usually dislikes the bitterness of medicine and would rather suffer than take it. But today, she felt like she was coughing up her internal organs. With trembling hands, she took the water glass and forced herself to swallow the medicine.

The bitter, pungent smell made Song Qingyou frown slightly. Then something was stuffed into her mouth, and a sweet taste suddenly spread in her mouth. She curled her tongue and realized it was a candy.

Fu Wenzhou coaxed in a low voice, "If you eat the candy, it won't be bitter anymore."

That crazy and angry emotion vanished completely from his eyes and body in an instant, and he returned to being an obedient and docile puppy as usual.

"You..." After taking the medicine, Song Qingyou felt much better and finally looked up at him. Her eyes were moist from the cough she had just had. After a long pause, she managed to say, "How can you be so shameless!"

He was just questioning and pressuring her like a madman, but the next moment he was humbly coaxing her. What kind of person is that?

She's chased him away so many times, rejected him openly and subtly, but he acts like he didn't hear her at all. He apologizes when she gets angry, disappears for a couple of days, and then comes back to haunt her. Even Zhouzhou isn't as persistent as him!

From his angle, Song Qingyou was slightly turned to the side, her skin was snow-white, and her naturally affectionate peach blossom eyes were watery. In addition, her voice was melodious, sounding like she was scolding someone, yet also delicate and soft.

Fu Wenzhou not only didn't feel angry, but a strange feeling welled up in his heart. The more she scolded him, the more strange excitement he felt.

"Youyou, say a few more curses." Fu Wenzhou's Adam's apple bobbed, his dark eyes fixed on her with a heavy gaze.

Song Qingyou: "..."

She ignored him, escaped his grasp, and sat down on the sofa: "Are you going to the charity auction hosted by the Ruan family?"

"I'm not going." Fu Wenzhou sniffed the air, and the unique fragrance of lotus blossoms emanating from Song Qingyou wafted in. He sighed contentedly.

Song Qingyou frowned upon hearing this: "Haven't you been cooperating with the Ruan family all along? Are you going to offend Old Master Ruan?"

Fu Wenzhou went to the kitchen to get a fruit knife and peeled an apple for Song Qingyou: "I hired a dedicated team to manage the Fu Group. I didn't negotiate those collaborations myself."

Song Qingyou gently lifted her eyelashes: "Go."

There were no questions asked, only statements made.

Fu Wenzhou chuckled lazily: "Youyou, making a request requires a condition."

Song Qingyou thought for a moment and said, "Lin Niaoniao is pregnant with the Fu family's child. According to the old man's will, she will inherit an extra share of the estate. Tell Uncle Chang what she took, and I'll return it to you later."

Fu Wenzhou paused in his peeling motion, his eyes dark and deep. After a long while, he pursed his thin lips and said in a hoarse voice, "Don't wait any longer, there's no time like the present."

He suddenly leaned in, and Song Qingyou instinctively leaned back. Over the years, she had become quite experienced with his kisses, and she covered her lips with her slender, white hand.

Fu Wenzhou's thin lips were only a centimeter away from hers. Seeing her wary expression, Fu Wenzhou chuckled, his voice like a hook: "Youyou, I just..."

Song Qingyou was born with small hands, soft palms, and slender fingers, like a collectible. When the man's large hand covered hers, it easily covered her hands.

Her face was very fair, with a pinkish tinge from her illness, and her pupils were a light brown, clear and deep.

The delicate fragrance of lotus emanating from her made Fu Wenzhou want to kiss her and taste its sweetness every time he got close.

But I just thought that I couldn't bear to really do anything to her.

Fu Wenzhou stared at her for a long time before stuffing a small piece of apple into her mouth, a lazy smile playing on his lips as he withdrew it.

Continuing from what I just said: "I wanted to feed you an apple."

Song Qingyou felt that if she were to die young one day, it would most likely be because she was tormented to death by Fu Wenzhou's unpredictable moods.

“I will attend the charity auction.” Fu Wenzhou smiled. “You know I always listen to you.”

Song Qingyou: ...

She really wanted to ask him now, if he's so obedient, why doesn't he leave?

I thought about it and gave up. This person is like a mad dog, always doing whatever comes to mind. You have to appease him, or he'll throw a tantrum.

Song Qingyou didn't want her mood to be on a rollercoaster all day, so she asked tactfully, "When are you planning to leave?"

Fu Wenzhou glanced at her. His features were handsome, deep and exquisite, yet his brows and eyes held a hint of fierceness, and his pupils were dark. When he looked at her, his eyes were filled with affection, and his voice was tender: "I'll leave after you finish applying the medicine for me."

Song Qingyou had studied traditional Chinese medicine and was quite accomplished in it. When she asked to drop out, all her teachers felt sorry for her, but she left resolutely because she had something more important to do than her hobby.

When she learned that Fu Wenzhou was fighting in underground boxing matches in the US, she found someone to get these hard-to-find herbs and made them herself; they were very effective at healing and removing scars.

Song Qingyou initially wanted to refuse, but then she remembered that the medicine was originally made for him, and she also wanted to get rid of this troublesome person as soon as possible, so she agreed: "You can apply the medicine, but you are not allowed to move around."
