Ruan Yinyin was right outside the door and, unsurprisingly, overheard the conversation that had just taken place inside.
She stormed up to Fu Wenzhou in a fit of rage and demanded, "Fu Wenzhou! You're going to spend 20 billion to buy Song Qingyou a ring? Are you planning to squander the entire fortune your grandfather left you because of a woman?!"
Gu Bai grabbed Ruan Yinyin and whispered, "Ruan Yinyin, what are you doing? What business is it of yours if Fu Wenzhou buys someone an engagement ring? What are you making a scene for?"
Of all those present, the Chu family and the Ruan family had the best relationship.
Gu Ruo usually treats Ruan Yinyin like a younger sister. When the two chatted about this topic today, Gu Ruo told Ruan Yinyin about the party tonight. Ruan Yinyin said she wanted to come along, and Gu Ruo didn't object, since Ruan Yinyin would come to this kind of party anyway.
She was wondering why she hadn't seen Ruan Yinyin earlier, but she didn't expect her to run in from outside and start cursing Fu Wenzhou.
Since she was the one who brought the person, Gu Ruo felt embarrassed. She stood up and tried to stop Ruan Yinyin: "Yinyin, let's talk this out. Fu Wenzhou buying an engagement ring is Fu Wenzhou's own business. Why are you saying these things?"
Ruan Yinyin's voice was shrill, as if she had gone mad. Her eyes were red as she stared at the indifferent man: "Fu Wenzhou, if you want to elevate the Fu family to a higher position, only the Ruan family can help you. What is Song Qingyou? What help can a Song family that is not far from bankruptcy provide to your business?! Besides pretending to be a vixen and seducing men, what other skills does she have!"
After she finished speaking, everyone in the private room gasped and turned their gazes toward Fu Wenzhou.
The man crossed his legs, leaned back in his chair, and looked at her with amusement on his nonchalant face. “Ruan Yinyin, you seem to have forgotten what I told you at the door.”
The man smiled, but Ruan Yinyin felt inexplicably afraid. She subconsciously wanted to back away, but the thought that backing away meant she had lost to Song Qingyou made her stop in her tracks. "What I said is the truth. Am I wrong?"
Fu Wenzhou leaned slightly forward, his long, slender fingers swishing across the table full of wine bottles. He had probably picked one that suited his taste, and a smile curved his lips.
He then looked up at Ruan Yinyin, his smile slowly fading, his eyes gradually turning cold.
"How about I help you recall it?"
The man remained calm, then suddenly stood up, pinched Ruan Yinyin's cheek with one hand to force her to open her mouth, and with the other hand, forcefully shoved the thin end of the wine bottle into Ruan Yinyin's mouth.
This series of actions took only two or three seconds; no one saw it clearly, and no one had time to stop it.
They were drinking whiskey tonight, in bottles made of pure crystal with a special hardness.
The man shoved half of the bottle in, showing no mercy and acting ruthlessly.
Ruan Yinyin's teeth were broken by the vicious impact, four or five of them shattered, and blood flowed from the corners of her mouth, filling it with bloody foam.
Whether from fear or pain, Ruan Yinyin's tears flowed incessantly, but her mouth was blocked by the bottle opening, preventing her from making a sound.
Everyone was startled. Gu Bai was the first to react and hurriedly grabbed Fu Wenzhou's arm, exclaiming, "Are you crazy?!"
Liang Muchuan said coldly, "Call an ambulance."
Gu Ruo was stunned by this scene, and Chu Fan quickly hugged her to comfort her.
Others also started to come over and pull at Fu Wenzhou, trying to make him let go.
The Ruan family is currently at the height of their power in the capital. If anything were to happen to Ruan Yinyin, how could the Ruan family possibly let it go?
This guy truly lives up to his nickname "Mad Dog," he always does whatever he feels like!
Only Xu Zezhan remained calmly seated on the sofa, drinking his wine: "Even dragons have their Achilles' heel; they deserve it."
His voice wasn't low, and Gu Bai was standing right next to him. The two hadn't exchanged a single word all night. At this moment, Gu Bai finally couldn't help but turn around and glare at him: "Can you stop making sarcastic remarks! Aren't you going to come and help!"
No one could budge Fu Wenzhou's hand. Ruan Yinyin's eyes were bloodshot from the pain, but Fu Wenzhou still didn't let go.
He pushed it in little by little until the bottle was halfway in. Ruan Yinyin's lips began to tear, and she choked on the blood and foam in her throat. The blood, unable to find an outlet, gradually flowed back out of her nasal cavity.
It looks terrifying.
"Fu Wenzhou, let go!" Gu Bai was sweating profusely with anxiety: "If this continues, someone will die!"
Fu Wenzhou's sharp eyebrows were tinged with a roguish smile, his voice casual, revealing nothing of the deadly thing he was about to do: "Ruan Yinyin, remember what I said, otherwise, I don't know what kind of bastard I might do. This time, consider it a small warning. If there's a next time, tsk... I don't know anything about being gentle with women."
His tone was extremely relaxed, with half of his face hidden in the darkness. Ruan Yinyin felt as if she had seen a demon, her eyes widening in terror. She was already numb with pain.
The moment Fu Wenzhou let go, her body slowly went limp.
Gu Ruo caught her in time. Someone tried to pull the bottle out of Ruan Yinyin's mouth, but too much of it was inside. Even if they pulled it out, they couldn't save Ruan Yinyin's remaining teeth. The skin and flesh at the corner of her mouth were torn open, and you could see the flesh bleeding profusely inside.
Then someone shouted that the ambulance had arrived.
The private room was in chaos, but Fu Wenzhou calmly picked up his coat from the rack, held his cane, and walked past the slumped Ruan Yinyin, completely unaware that he was the culprit who caused all of this.
Stepping out of the bar, the noise behind him was cut off. Fu Wenzhou felt an obvious urge to light a cigarette, but he hadn't forgotten Song Qingyou's advice. He pressed his tongue against his lower molars and resisted.
Xu Zezhan, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, followed and stood at the intersection with Fu Wenzhou. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "You've done this to Ruan Yinyin; the Ruan family won't let you off easily."
Fu Wenzhou scoffed: "You think I'm afraid?"
Xu Zezhan raised his eyebrows slightly: "Hmm, but I heard that your Song Qingyou and Old Madam Ruan have a good relationship. Since your relationship with the Ruan family has soured, your wife is probably in a difficult position."
Upon hearing this, Fu Wenzhou paused, then frowned in annoyance.
He's already done it; won't he get scolded when he gets back?
Fu Wenzhou asked nervously, "Then what should we do?"
Xu Zezhan stared at Fu Wenzhou for two seconds, then suddenly burst out laughing, so laughing that his cigarette fell to the ground: "Fu Wenzhou, are you a Sichuan opera face-changing performer? Damn! Where did that fierceness you had in the private room go? Why do you act like a grandson the moment Song Qingyou is mentioned?"
Fu Wenzhou sneered: "You're the one who's a grandson."
Fu Nan stopped at the intersection, and Fu Wenzhou turned around and got into the car.
He couldn't be bothered to talk to Xu Zezhan. After all, what was the point of talking to a single guy? No matter how much he talked, the single guy wouldn't understand his happiness.
Oh.
