Chapter 23 A Different Kind of Breath

"Come and eat."

Fu Wenzhou called out again, opened the food box, and laid out the porridge and snacks inside one by one. Then he bent down and picked up Zhouzhou. The kitten turned into a little clip and meowed, nuzzling his chin with its head.

He was too casual, not like someone who would casually walk into someone else's house early in the morning without asking, but rather like someone who was back in his own home at ease.

For a moment, Song Qingyou couldn't help but have a misconception.

Is this her home or Fu Wenzhou's home?

Thinking this, she asked the question.

Upon hearing this, Fu Wenzhou raised one eyebrow, a hint of wickedness in his smile: "It can also be my home."

Song Qingyou: "...Get out."

Fu Wenzhou's face darkened, but there was nothing he could do but worship the little deity in front of him.

"Come and eat, or I'll feed you myself?"

His tone was dangerous, and his eyes were even more dangerous. Song Qingyou hesitated for two seconds before sitting down.

The delicate pastries on the table were all her favorite flavors, but due to her health condition, Song Qingyou didn't eat much and was full after eating only a little.

Fu Wenzhou glanced at her, then at the kitten eating beside her, a faint smile spreading across his usually fierce eyes. "How come you can't even compare to Zhouzhou's appetite? You're too easy to feed."

He then dragged over the bowl of porridge she had left over and ate it all in a few bites.

Song Qingyou was about to say that she would transfer the money to him, but seeing this situation, all her words got stuck in her throat.

She pursed her lips. "I ate those."

Fu Wenzhou ate the crystal dumplings one after another, saying, "I don't mind."

Song Qingyou rubbed her temples. "I find it disgusting."

Fu Wenzhou paused in his eating, took a sip of porridge, and suddenly reached out with his large hand, grabbed the back of her neck, and pressed her down.

Before she could react, his warm, wet lips pressed against hers.

Song Qingyou was caught off guard when her lips were pried open, and warm, sweet porridge was poured over her.

Her eyes widened in disbelief that he could be so absurd and outrageous!

She instinctively reached out to push him away, but Fu Wenzhou's hand was like an iron clamp, imprisoning the back of her neck. His thin lips were pressed tightly together, and their hot, ambiguous breaths mingled.

After being teased like that, Song Qingyou's eyes welled up with tears, like fresh grapes covered with a layer of morning mist. She glared at him with a hint of annoyance and dissatisfaction: "Fu Wenzhou!"

Fu Wenzhou stared intently at her flushed face, his Adam's apple bobbing, and absentmindedly hummed in agreement.

His eyes seemed glued to those luscious red lips; he couldn't look away.

His desire to hide her away and possess her grew stronger every day!

"Do you still dislike me?" He parted his thin lips slightly, his voice unusually hoarse.

Song Qingyou said angrily, "I find this disgusting! If you want to eat, go eat somewhere else, don't eat here..."

Before he could finish speaking, Fu Wenzhou pressed down on him again.

This time it was no longer a mere taste; it was filled with a terrifying sense of oppression and possessiveness, like a wild beast that almost wanted to devour her whole!

The moment his hand slipped under the hem of her loungewear, Song Qingyou trembled inexplicably, and a soft moan escaped her lips.

The man opened his eyes, a terrifying emotion churning within them.

He easily swept her up to his lap with one hand, and Song Qingyou pressed against his chest, her eyes brimming with tears, exclaiming in panic, "Fu Wenzhou! Are you crazy?!"

"Youyou..." The man's breathing suddenly became heavier and heavier, pressing against her ear like a deadly poison, as if to drown Song Qingyou.

Fu Wenzhou seemed to have lost his mind, which frightened her.

"Fu Wenzhou cough cough cough..." Sensing his overwhelming aggression, Song Qingyou panicked and, in her excitement, couldn't catch her breath, so she started coughing violently.

Fu Wenzhou was pulled back to his senses from the brink of losing control. He quickly patted her back to help her catch her breath. "Youyou, don't be angry. I won't touch you anymore, okay?"

Song Qingyou covered her mouth, coughing so hard her body trembled. Fu Wenzhou listened to the heart-wrenching cough and was filled with regret, apologizing repeatedly.

He apologized verbally, but showed no intention of letting go of her, especially since he…

After Song Qingyou recovered, the two were almost skin to skin, so close that they could hear each other's heartbeats. She could clearly feel certain changes in the man.

Her pretty face flushed red and then paled, the red spreading from her ears all the way down to her neck, and even the exposed, jade-like shoulder was tinged with a thin layer of red.

Fu Wenzhou looked at her fair and rosy shoulders, and his eyes suddenly turned deep.

He maintained an honest demeanor and gently helped her catch her breath.

The hand that was around her slender waist involuntarily pulled her closer into his arms.

Song Qingyou was both embarrassed and angry, and raised her hand to slap him: "Let go of me!"

She didn't expect Fu Wenzhou to not dodge at all when she slapped him. The slap landed squarely on his face, making her stunned.

The next second, Fu Wenzhou grabbed her wrist!

The man's eyes were terrifying, as if he wanted to devour her whole.

Song Qingyou had always heard others say that Fu Wenzhou was a dangerous person, but in front of her, Fu Wenzhou was just a mad dog throwing a tantrum, and she rarely saw him like this.

She instinctively closed her eyes and shrank her neck.

But instead of the expected slap, something licked her palm.

She opened her eyes in a daze. Fu Wenzhou was leaning down, gently kissing her palms and fingers one kiss after another.

It felt like an electric current coursing through her, from her fingertips to her palms, spreading all the way to her limbs and bones, sending a shiver down her spine.

Fu Wenzhou raised his eyes, his long, deep gaze fixed on her, the intense emotions within them undisguised, surging like a tsunami...

Her bewildered expression was reflected in those dark eyes, and her heart trembled, as if something soft had brushed against her heart, causing her fingertips to unconsciously curl.

Then I heard him ask, "Does your hand hurt?"

Song Qingyou hesitated for a moment, and Fu Wenzhou said softly, "It's okay, I was wrong, don't be angry."

Song Qingyou took a breath and clenched her fists, slightly increasing the distance between them: "...Let me go first."

She turned her face away from him, her expression clearly showing her resistance.

Fu Wenzhou felt a burning anger and frustration, but even more so, he felt heartache.

He released his hand with a heavy gaze.
