Chapter 315 Dim Light

Meanwhile, inside the hotel.

After Jiang Chu saw the guests off, a bodyguard jogged over and said, "Sir."

Jiang Chu frowned: "Haven't you found the young lady yet?"

"No."

"Okay, I got it."

Jiang Chu dismissed the bodyguard, walked to the side, took out his phone, and called Jiang Xun.

I didn't answer the first time.

The call was disconnected a second time.

On the third try, they finally answered.

“Dad.” Jiang Xun’s voice sounded a little hoarse and irritated. Before Jiang Chu could speak, she said, “I have something to do today, so I won’t be going back. You don’t need to worry about me.”

He hung up the phone after saying that.

Jiang Chu: "..."

He glanced at his phone and chuckled, "That girl."

At this moment, in a hotel room.

Jiang Xun was being held captive, and her clothes were nowhere to be found. As soon as she put down her phone, the man grabbed her chin and bit her lips hard with a hint of venting his anger.

Jiang Xun couldn't help but clutch his shirt tightly, suppressing all her voice between her lips.

It was getting dark outside the window.

The neon lights are just coming on.

The dim nightlight on the bedside table cast two intertwined figures onto the wall.

I don't know how much time passed before all the storms gradually subsided.

Jiang Xun pushed the man off her, pulled the thin blanket over herself, and tried to get up.

Just as she made a move, a hand landed on her shoulder and easily pressed her back down.

Yan Shaoqin smiled, a smile that held a hint of satisfaction mixed with coldness: "Planning to just leave again? How do you intend to fob me off this time?"

Jiang Xun's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she chuckled, "It's just adult men and women helping each other out."

The smile on Yan Shaoqin's face slowly disappeared.

"So, Miss Jiang has taken a fancy to my body?"

"Likewise."

Jiang Xun pushed his hand away and got up to go to the bathroom.

The sound of dripping water filled the air. Jiang Xun stood underwater, looked at herself in the mirror, her body covered in ambiguous marks, and felt a pang of regret.

How did things get to this point?

As she left the resort this morning, she clearly told herself that it was best to end it all and pretend that nothing had happened yesterday.

However, when Yan Shaoqin abruptly pulled her away at the banquet and kissed her without warning, she was unable to resist.

She wiped her face hard.

Alas, male beauty can lead one astray.

A man who has his best friend in his heart is really troublesome to mess with.

It's all Yan Miao's fault! Why didn't I tell her something so important?

Or did Yan Miao not know that her brother liked Song Qingyou?

But it's too late to say anything now.

Jiang Xun wiped the water off her face. Outside, Yan Shaoqin knocked on the door: "Jiang Xun, want to talk?"

Jiang Xun turned to look at the tall figure reflected in the glass and took a deep breath.

She quickly washed up, wrapped herself in a towel, and went out.

To appear indifferent to the matter, she calmly poured herself a glass of water and sat down on the sofa by the window.

She raised her eyes, looking at Yan Shaoqin, whose suit was disheveled, with a half-smile.

"What would you like to discuss, Mr. Yan?"

All that commotion just now only resulted in his clothes being disheveled.

And she herself...

Jiang Xun quickly suppressed the images that shouldn't be in her mind and calmly took a sip of water.

Yan Shaoqin sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Tell me your plans. Or perhaps you just want a fleeting affair? Your father wants you to marry into a powerful family..."

“A fleeting romance isn’t bad either,” Jiang Xun asked. “Or does President Yan have a better suggestion?”

She seemed completely unconcerned, radiating an aura of utter scum who would abandon you once you've done your bidding.

Yan Shaoqin remained silent for a few seconds.

In those few seconds, he stared intently at Jiang Xun, trying to discern even the slightest hint of pretense from her face.

Unfortunately, no.

Jiang Xun felt a chill run down her spine under his gaze, but she maintained a calm and composed smile. She elegantly put down her water glass, got up, picked up her phone from the messy bed, and called her assistant to ask her to bring her a set of clothes.

As soon as she hung up the phone, her wrist was grabbed by the man.

She looked over with a smile on her lips, only to hear Yan Shaoqin say, "President Jiang wants you to get married, and I happen to need a suitable marriage as well. If Miss Jiang doesn't mind, perhaps we can have a casual relationship and become 'partners'."

This partner is no ordinary partner.

Jiang Xun's heart skipped a beat, and she stared blankly at her wrist, which he was holding.

“Yan Shaoqin.” She suddenly smiled. “Last night, you held me and called out Song Qingyou.”

Yan Shaoqin's pupils trembled, but his expression remained unchanged. However, Jiang Xun clearly felt the force on her wrist suddenly tighten.

I pinched her too hard.

She pushed his hand away, leaned down slightly, and gently stroked the handsome face in front of her with one hand, saying in a light tone, "Mr. Yan, I admit that I was very attracted to you yesterday, which is why I deliberately pressed you. But I've always wanted everything I wanted since I was a child."

Her fingers traced his jawline down his throat, finally touching his chest: "You're carrying someone else here, and they're my good friend. What am I supposed to do? My marriage partner is either someone I like, or someone who only talks about interests with me, Ms. Yan."

She paused, then smiled faintly: "I'm sorry, you don't meet any of the criteria."

"How about we just be casual buddies? After all, we do get along quite well in some ways."

She was nonchalant and didn't think it was a waste of time to solve a problem.
